Course Reviews

This is a fun course to play but it needs some major work on the little creek crossings. I assume the spring floods have moved some of the little concrete pipes that were being used to cross the creek as we found them 20ft down stream. Since the course goes back and forth across the creek and you need to cross at these areas you have a very hard time getting to the next hole. Only two permanent bridges in good shape to use but it almost doubled our walking time getting hole to hole. Leaving the crossings out the review this is very fun course to play. I love the way water comes into play on most of the holes and it will penalize you for a bad shot. Keep a disc retriever handy. Water is clear which makes retrieving easy. Hole 16 basket is right on the creek tucked in a hole among trees and shrubs so well placed shots are needed. We used the practice basket for hole 17 since crossing the creek at the normal area was washed out and using the good bridge was two holes down making for a very long walk. Only found a small amount of poison ivy so the parks dept must be keeping it under control. Grass was mowed and trimmed. Kudo's to them. Overall a good course but needs major work on four of the small creek crossings to make this course earn 5 chains

Well marked. Hole 1 is slightly east of the football field, and the 18 holes do a figure-8 pattern from there. The small amount of water on this course is deceptively deep and murky. Poison ivy is all around the creeks. Fun par 3's and annoying par 4's, with a par 5/4 on hole 3 that will challenge you if you can't throw over 300'. Holes 16 and 17 are long with well-placed water to steal your disks. I aced hole 13 on a mulligan re-drive and nearly aced hole 18 thanks to some tree love. Overall decent course and worth a play at least once if you are in the Austin area.
