I'm biased. since I'm one of the designers, but this is a fun course. in early 2017 we got to talking about adding 9 holes to the original, and there simply wasn't a good way to do it. We knew we wanted to use a wooded area, but how to do it? Simple--rebuild the whole course. That was done in May, and by September we had money to install DD Patriot baskets. July 2018, course is now 18 holes.
Essentially, the front 9 is turned around backwards, with a couple holes completely moved. We even managed to keep a couple of the original greens in place, with different fairways. #4 is my favorite hole, with 6 and 7 close behind. The water in both ponds changes a lot, 6 and 7 has been empty a lot, but it was near-record size in May and June. There are a couple of paths through woods on 4, and one on 6, that it may take some courage to attempt. When the plants are green it is tough.
The new back 9 uses the old "salad bowl" baskets until we get money for more Patriots. The original 9 has been renumbered, so what was 3 is now 1, what was 2 is 9. That allows a visit to a car in the big parking lot. 10-12 go north around baseball, soccer, and tennis. 13-17 are in woods, 18 across the big soccer field. Seasonally, 12 and 18 will change due to use of adjacent athletic fields. A bit of walking, but it will work, and be a nice break from the hills.
