Ockie is a nice course, Tee pads mostly covered with decent shade but has open fairways. A lot of thorns and thick brush off the fairway thought.

I just played this new course for the first time this afternoon. My compliments to the designers and friends of the course for an excellent job. The course is located in the Ockie Wisting Park in Middle Township, NJ, near Rio Grande, Wildwood, and Cape May. It’s the perfect activity for a disc golfer who wants a break from the beach, or a pleasant walk through the woods. The course is flat, as you would expect for a course through a seashore area. Many of the fairways are tight, with lots of trees and bushes bordering the holes. I took the cautious approach, and threw shorter, straighter discs, since I was not familiar with the layout and didn’t want to risk losing them in the woods. Next time, I’ll be more aggressive. This is the easternmost course, I’ve played, with the westernmost at golden Gate Park in San Fransisco. Most of the course has simple stakes to designate the teeing area, which works out fine on the sandy soil. There are neat little sign maps at each tee with a picture, distance, and par noted. Some prankster must have removed the signs for holes 1, 2,and 3, because I was totally lost until the 4th hole. I went back later and was able to find the first few holes my looking much more carefully. I strongly recommend this course to anyone looking for something to do. It filled a not great beach day with an excellent activity.
