Short, technical, and FUN !! Lots of trees...Coarse has changed for the better now that it is broke in...

Prettiest course in this area but several holes become marshes during the winter. Beautiful forest, nice mix of holes. Some short ace runs and some need spotting. Classic northwest.

Nice course, great dual tees and signs. The forest makes the shots a lot of fun. Only real negatives were that a few of the holes were pretty easy.

One of my favorite courses. Beautiful old growth forest with enough clearing/improvement to make it disc golfer friendly without losing the essence of the forest! Well done to their association! A fairly short course has been lengthened with multiple pin placements and dual tee boxes on most every hole. Even the short pins/tees are challenging and fun due to the tight fairways and tricky placements. A premier example of creating a great course in the middle of a forest without destroying it! Check out the eagle's aerie tree near the uphill fairway on 16 . . . wow!

When I started playing a couple years ago, the course was well maintained and visually appealing. Now, there are holes with open ditches and holes with barriers put up in the field of play. The once beautiful natural course shows degradation from man.

NAD is a beautiful well maintained course. A jet plane, picnic area and restrooms greet you at the front of the park. There is a kiosk with local disc golf news and a board for registering aces on the back of the kiosk. Yellow arrows guide you through the course which is heavily wooded. There are excellent tee signs, bag holders, and concrete tees at each hole. Mach 5 baskets are moved weekly to alternating long and short pin positions. There are also two tee pads for 16 of 18 holes.
This is a shot makers course and can be played by most pros without a driver. Great use of elevation as well as narrow left and right turning holes. There are some ponds and wet areas in the winter so boots are in order after the rain.
This course is shady and cool in the summer and relatively dry (overhead) during the rain due to playing under the tree canopy. Watch for the Bald Eagle that lives in the old growth tree on hole 16 or the owl watching on hole 11.

I recently took a few weeks off to travel around Washington state and play at some courses that I haven’t played before. NAD Park was the first stop on my trip. The course was easy to find and a pleasant drive as well being only 48 miles from my home.
NAD Park is a very well maintained park with an easy to follow layout. If you do get turned around just follow the yellow arrows and you will find the next hole. The tee boxes are nice with garbage cans at most holes (which is nice to see) and a map that shows the different basket locations. You will still need to walk up most holes to find the basket for yourself because with multiple basket locations on many holes you may find that the one you are going for is gone or has been moved.
The whole course is nicely nestled into the woods and mostly shaded making it a great place to play on a hot day. With multiple areas to tee off from you could play 2 – 3 times in a day with a different look at each hole. There are not many long holes but the majority of the holes are very technical with tight wooded flight paths and hard blind turns.
NAD Park was a pleasure to play. If you are in the area I highly suggest you stop in for a round or two.

Beautiful, heavily wooded course covered in large second-growth fir and ferns galore (not old-growth as mentioned above). Course is established with well marked signage and trails.

Pros:
Challenging tunnel shots through the trees

Nice signage, concrete tees and awesome bag holders on every tee.

Beautiful course that reminds me of the scenes in ferngully.

Cons:
Can get really marshy and full of puddles when/after it rains, so beware!

Some tees are blind shots, so have a spotter first time around.

Notes:
I passed through the area on a road trip without my discs, bought a dx aviar and roc at the local Big 5 and HAD A BLAST! (one under pro par only round I played :) Read some reviews on the course before passing through and was very glad I did- met some cool locals and happened to run into a disc golfer from an area just a few hours away from where I live (California- north of bay area), and plan on seeing him at the local tournaments.
