Player Selection

  • For a total of 14 positions per team (7 MPO and 7 FPO), the selection process will be as follows:
  • 2026 April 1st PDGA Official World Ranking: 1 MPO + 1 FPO
  • Popular vote: 1 MPO + 1 FPO
  • PDGA & PDGA Europe Competition Director picks: 1 MPO + 1 FPO
  • Team Captain: 4 MPO + 4 FPO

Format

  • 8 matches - match play: (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team)
  • Break.
  • 4 matches - Modified alternate shots mixed doubles - match play: (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team)
  • Break.
  • 4 matches - stroke play: (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team)

Except in cases of force majeure, such as the inability to field a full team in a division or the injury of a player and their reserve, no player may play in more than 2 of the 3 games  the Team Captain will assign players to the different events and matches.

Scoring

  • 8 matches - match play (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team): 24 points in total.
    • Winner of match: 3 points
    • Tie in a match: 1.5 points each
    • Loser of match: 0 points
  • 4 matches - Modified alternate shots mixed doubles – match play (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team): 24 points in total.
    • Winner of match: 6 points
    • Tie in a match: 3 points
    • Loser of a match 0 points
  • 4 matches - stroke play (4 MPO + 4 FPO players per team): 28 points in total.
    • Lowest score: 4 points
    • Second lowest score: 2 points
    • Third lowest score: 1 point 
    • Fourth lowest score: 0 points 
    • Ties split the points for the positions
  • The total number of points up for grabs is 24 + 24 + 28 = 76
  • Team with more points at the end of the event (38.5 or more) will win.
  • In case of tie between teams after all events played: One player sudden death play-off on Hole 18 on repeat. Team captains will nominate the sudden death players
