2025 Masters Worlds Welcome Letter

Dear Registrants,

With gratitude and joy in our hearts, Flight Deck Events welcomes you to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, home of the 2025 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships presented by ZÜCA. Together with the PDGA, the Minnesota Frisbee Association, who is celebrating their 50th birthday this year, along with all eight of our host cities, we are blessed to share our home with you. This community and its courses are built on decades of volunteerism, passion, and innovation, and we could not be happier to “have you over.”

We couldn’t do this without the support of many key sponsors: ZÜCA Inc, Flight Deck Pro Shop @ Kaposia Park, Discraft, Innova Champion Discs, Dynamic Discs, Circle One Disc Golf, Seatec Outfitters, 1st Phorm, Climo Disc Golf to name a few. Our team has collectively spent thousands of hours preparing for this event and we are hopeful you enjoy your week with us.

Here is a small window into what's happening during your Masters Worlds week:

Monday June 30

9a-7p – Fly Mart #1 @ Bauhaus Brew Labs, which is also your check in and opening ceremony location.

Tuesday, July 1

All Day – Flex Start “Lids Only” XC Tier at Hansen Park in New Brighton. This is one of the very few “Saucer Cone” Courses remaining in the world. This event is meant to honor the humble beginnings of disc golf, and you will only be allowed to throw an Ultimate disc a.k.a. “lid” during your round. You will receive a custom Discraft Ultra Star and Ultra Star Mini as your player pack for this “trophy only” novelty experience. Spots are limited so register ASAP.

Wednesday July 2nd

5p-10p – Putter Party at Surly Brewing presented by Innova. Surly is one of our most popular home grown breweries, and also is very disc sports friendly. They happen to own our local Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) team and defending UFA Champions, the Minnesota Wind Chill.

Thursday July 3rd

6:30p-12a – Masters Worlds Poker Party @ Kaposia Park presented by Climo Disc Golf. Day of registration will be available, but limited to available capacity. CASH PAYOUTS. Food and beverages will be available.

7p – We have a scheduled showing of “The Invisible String” @ Trylon Cinema. A documentary on Frisbee, from the earliest days of pie tin throwing to the Frisbee World Championships of the 1970s at the Rose Bowl. Interviews with Dan "Stork" Roddick, "Steady" Ed Headrick, and others. Lasts 1 hr. 34 min. Cost is $10 and space is VERY limited.

5p-10:30p – Summer Fete in Bloomington. For fireworks and a family-oriented atmosphere.

Friday July 4th

Be free to explore all that the Twin Cities has to offer. Be on the lookout for specials from many local sponsors.

Saturday July 5th

All Day – Fly Mart #2 and Players Party @ Blue Ribbon Pines. Join us for the thrilling finish in the MP40, MP50, MP55 and FP40 divisions. Then stay for live music, side games and great camaraderie. A family reunion style atmosphere which we hope will become one of your greatest disc golf memories.
