We are thrilled to invite you to register for the 2025 PDGA Junior World Championships in Emporia, KS, from July 12 to July 19! The PDGA, local event team, and Emporia community look forward to hosting you this summer.

Check-in + Player Meeting

Dynamic Discs will host player check-in on Monday, July 14th, at its Headquarters from 9 AM to 5 PM. Every player MUST check in to sign a waiver and receive their player pack. Any junior under 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver.

The Opening Ceremonies is on Monday at 7 PM at Emporia State’s Plumb Hall in Albert Taylor Hall. The auditorium can comfortably accommodate 1,200 people.

Travel + Lodging

Those flying to Junior Worlds will choose either Kansas City International Airport (MCI) or Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT). Both airports are within a 1.5-2 hours drive to Emporia.

When in Emporia, most will notice it takes about 7-10 minutes to get anywhere. There is minimal traffic to and from places, allowing for less time in the car and more time to enjoy your experience!

Registration

There are 576 registration spots for the Junior World Champions. The PDGA will publish the registration schedule, the invite list, and registration links on the 2025 PDGA Junior Worlds landing page.

Before a player can register for the event, they must ensure they are current 2025 PDGA Members and Certified Officials with an expiration date after July 19, 2024.

Field Events, Doubles, Ancillary Events, + More

We are hosting Field Events at Emporia State’s Campus Woods on Saturday, July 12, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Competitors must check in at the starter tent no later than 2 PM. The PDGA is working on creating a more straightforward process for competitors to streamline the flow of field events.

Divisional Doubles is at Jones Park on Sunday, July 13. The player's meeting will begin at 9 AM. The format is modified best shot in the first round and modified alternate shot in the second round. The field is limited to 36 teams.

The Vendor Village + Player Party is on Emporia State’s campus in Kellog Circle on Friday, July 18, from 6 to 9 PM. The area is grassy and shaded–perfect for hot summer nights! We plan to have fun attractions for juniors to have carefree fun together, as well as a beer garden and food truck area for parents to sit back and enjoy some downtime. There will also be a mix of disc golf and local vendors so attendees can shop.

We are working on a full Ancillary Schedule for the week, including:

• Movie Night at the Granada Theatre
• Disc Golf Clinic and a Q&A with the ESU Disc Golf Team
• Night at the Zoo with a Scavenger Hunt
• A Downtown Mini Disc Scavenger Hunt
• Kids Design a Disc
• And so much more!

The PDGA and Dynamic Discs will post additional information about the event on their websites and social media pages leading up to the event. Dynamic Discs also plans to email players and parents during the tournament. Be sure to check those pages and your email regularly.
