Dear Amateur Worlds Registrant,
Welcome to the 2023 PDGA Amateur World Championships!

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Central Illinois, home of the 2023 PDGA Amateur and Junior World Championships presented by Paragon Disc Golf. We have been working towards this event for the last 18 months and we hope your stay in Central Illinois is enjoyable. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the City of Peoria, The Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the City of Eureka, the City of Washington, the Village of Morton, and the Morton Park District. Each of these entities have helped support this event and without their support this event would not happen. We have a world class staff for this year’s event ready to serve you. We are also thankful for our many volunteers who have stepped up to help, including a large contingent of volunteers from St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We are also grateful to our biggest sponsors, including Paragon Disc Golf, Discraft, Dynamic Discs, GRIPeq, Innova, Lone Star Disc, GRIP6, Prodigy, Zanfel, Ledgestone, Bushnell, Zuca, Shaffer Sports, DryV Bagz, Greazy Dyes and Merrell.

Our team has spent thousands of hours preparing for this event, with most of that time spent preparing our courses for the competition. Each of the courses are in great shape. We have several side events going on throughout the competition week that we know you will enjoy. Here is a small window into what’s happening during Worlds week:

Tuesday (June 27th) will be our Players Dinner and a Flymart at Five Points in Washington.

Wednesday (June 28th) will include a Flymart, Free Ice Cream, Band Performance, Food Vendor Night,

Disc Golf Games and more at Five Points in Washington.

Thursday (June 29th) is free for you to enjoy Central Illinois!

Friday night (June 30th) we will host Disc Golf night at the Ballpark, where players can take in a minor league baseball game at Dozer Park, home of the Peoria Chiefs. Food will be provided, and we will get to have some players on the field doing some big throws!

Play will occur daily with tee times assigned on the PDGA Results Page the day prior to the round. Please note that rounds at Northwood Black start earlier than other courses.

In closing we sincerely hope you enjoy your team in Central Illinois. Our goal is to provide world class courses that offer a unique challenge to you as our players. We hope that our courses challenge you to the best of your abilities. Good luck and thanks for participating in this year’s event!
