What is the PDGA online scoring
system?

The PDGA online scoring system is provided to tournament directors of PDGA-sanctioned events to allow the posting of registration lists and live scores. Registration lists can be posted any time prior to an event, and allow members to quickly find out who is registered for an event in one place. Posting scores after each round, or after the event gives online users a single place to go to get tournament results. In addition to the scores, the online scoring system provides unofficial event ratings (if you provide the correct course layout information). If desired, you can also post hole-by-hole scores for groups of players, such as during a final nine.

How do I log in?

To use the PDGA online tournament scoring system, you will need an event password for the event for which you want to post scores. The passwords are sent out by the PDGA office via email prior to an event. If you want to get your password early for training purposes, please contact the PDGA office to get it.

Is there a way to do training and testing without affecting the live results?

There is no testing site at this time but we plan on adding one in near future.

How do I upload scores from a spreadsheet?

There is an upload “wizard” that allows you to copy and paste the scores directly from an Excel spreadsheet into the admin page. After pasting the scores (make sure you include the column headers)into the page, you then go through a number of steps to validate the data, resolve ties, etc. Once the steps are completed, the scores will be available from PDGA Tour schedule links.

What do I need to do to generate event ratings?

To generate accurate ratings for each round, you need to assign the course layouts to each division for each round played. By default, the system assumes a "default layout" with 18 holes. If you have a layout with more or less holes, or if different divisions play a different configuration (e.g., different tees), or if the course is changed (e.g., different basket placements) between rounds, then you need to add the appropriate layouts, and assign the divisions to them.

To create or edit layouts, select "Admin" from the navigation links at the top of any of the tournament scoring system pages. In the section labeled "Rating Course Layouts", edit the default layout, or add new layouts as necessary (you need one for every configuration played in any round). To assign the divisions to the layouts, select the "Ratings" link, then select the round you are assigning layouts for, then select the layout played by each division for that round. Repeat the process for each round, and then the event ratings for your tournament will be displayed correctly. Note that these are unofficial ratings, but they give players a good indication of the rating level that they played. On top of that, players like seeing them!
