For many of us, stuck behind desks, becoming a professional athlete is an unfulfilled dream. We are in an interesting moment when “Disc Golfer” is becoming a viable career. Even with the possibility of million-dollar contracts, the decision to commit to becoming a full-time tour player is a difficult one. What could they be doing instead? To find out, I spoke to over 75% percent of the field at the 2021 Delaware Disc Golf Challenge about the subject of work.

The PDGA is now accepting requests for 2021 A-Tiers via the online A-Tier Request Form. The submission deadline is Monday, October 12, 2020.

The National Amateur Disc Golf Tour (NADGT), formerly the Next Generation Tour, will keep many of the features that have made the series a favorite for competitive amateurs since 2016, and the growth of the organization has led to a larger staff, a newly-formed Board of Directors, and an expanded target audience that includes amateur players of all ability levels. 

The 2014 PDGA Tour Standards have been set and will take effect on January 1st, 2014.

The 2014 Major, NT, & A-Tier schedule has also been set and the PDGA State Coordinators can now start approving B and C Tier events in their states for the 2014 PDGA season.  Please note that TDs may NOT sanction their events without first receiving approval of their dates from their PDGA State Coordinator.

Major changes to be found in the 2014 PDGA Tour Standards are:

Round one of the 2013 Memorial Championship presented by Discraft is off and running. The Open divisions are playing at Vista Del Camino today while the others play their first of two rounds at Fountain Hills.

In its seventh year as the Glass Blown Open and the third year as a Super Tour, the Glass Blown Open has grown in to the event that Dynamic Discs and the Emporia Disc Golf Club had always dreamed about.
