With a strong foundation in place, disc golf in Europe is primed to keep building.

A new multi-year plan, centered around an elevated role from PDGA Europe and a multi-year agreement with Team Disc Golf Estonia, will serve as the cornerstones for continued growth and exposure.

The PDGA is excited to announce that Estonia, hosts of the PDGA Major European Disc Golf Festival this summer, will once again host European PDGA Majors in 2026 and 2028, setting the stage for the second PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships to be hosted in Europe.

Tiered registration for the 2025 European Disc Golf Festival, a PDGA Major set for July 17-20 in Tallinn, Estonia, is underway.

Here is the registration schedule:

“And now, we head to the most epic first tee in disc golf.”

Organizers of the European Disc Golf Festival hosted PDGA staff this past week in Tallinn, Estonia on the hallowed property of the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds.

A year ago, the Local Organizing Committee, led by Director of Operations Matthias Vutt, hosted the European Championships. This year, the EDGF is on the Disc Golf Pro Tour Elite Series. In 2025, the event will hold PDGA Major status.

Before we get into anything disc golf related, let’s start with the basics. If you can name the countries that make up the Baltic nations, you’re already way ahead of most. If you can point them out on a map, consider yourself a part of the geographically elite. The Baltic nations are Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Not surprisingly, they all border the Baltic Sea in northeastern Europe.
