2023 Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Championships - Day 3 Recap

There are a several battles that will come down to the wire at the 2023 PDGA Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Championships presented by Innova.

The cut has been made in Eugene, Oregon and seven of the 21 divisions are separated by less than three strokes with 18 holes to go in Eugene, Oregon.

In MP40, Philo Brathwaite made a moving day charge with a course-record round at Circle Bar Golf Club to take a two-stroke lead in Championship Sunday. Brathwaite's 12-under round — rated 1060 — propelled him to the top of the leaderboard, two strokes clear of Matthew Blakely, who kept his spot on the lead card with a 9-under round on Saturday.

British Columbia's Stewart McIsack follow Brathwaite with a 10-under round and is three back, tied with Cale Leiviska to round out the Championship Sunday lead card.

Action shifts back to Dexter State Park for the final round. Blakely was one of three players in double digits under par on Friday. McIsack and Leiviska shot 8-under and Brathwaite 5-under during round two.

Here's a Look at Championship Sunday

  • Randy Beers stayed on top, but it's just a three-stroke lead for the Florida native in MP65. Mark Horn is in second place and both shot the hot rounds of 52 on Saturday at Dexter.
  • In MA40, California's J.B. Bauersfield maintained his two-stroke lead, but had a pair of Oregon natives making a charge. Bauersfeld leads Bend's Ben Baker by two strokes and Eugene's Scott Wales by five.
  • Janae Chaney stayed atop the FA40 leaderboard but saw her lead over Joann Partridge trimmed to three strokes.
  • Allan Caldwell erased a two-stroke deficit with a round 43 points above his rating and leads MA50 by three strokes.
  • Oregon native John Fitzgerald pulled away from a tie with James Huestis entering Saturday in MA55 and leads Tony Dubose by two strokes. Huestis is in third, three strokes back.
  • Charlie Quinn added a stroke to his lead on Saturday and is up by two on David Coon.
