There weren’t too many moves at the top on moving day as the leaders set themselves up for a furious finish in Illinois.

Paige Pierce and Missy Gannon are knotted up in FPO and it’s a five-player race in MPO heading into Championship Sunday at the Disc Golf Pro Tour – Discraft Ledgestone Open presented by Bushnell.

With the hot round of 7-under at Sunset Hills, Pierce jumped into a share of the lead with Gannon as the winds picked up on Saturday in Pekin. The teammates distanced themselves slightly from the rest of the field, but that cushion doesn’t mean much as the FPO field heads back to Northwood Black.

Sarah Hokom and Kristin Tattar are four strokes back at 11-under. Lisa Fajkus leads the chase card of Ohn Scoggins, Catrina Allen and Madison Walker.

On Friday at Northwood, Gannon shot a 4-under round while Pierce struggled down the stretch for a plus-one finish. Tattar had the hot round in FPO at 5-under.

There were moves as Maria Oliva jumped 12 spots with a 6-under and Emily Beach moved up nine positions with a 5-under round to make the final round.

In MPO, it was Ricky Wysocki that lit up the cell signal free front nine with a 6-under mark through the first seven holes, but a double bogey and a bogey the rest of the way would leave him at that score, which was just enough to grab a one-stroke lead.

Anthony Barela continued his steady play and finished with four-straight bridies and is in a tie for second with Gannon Buhr. Wysocki, Barela and Buhr entered the day tied at the top.

Matt Orum had four birdies and a bogey down the stretch for a 5-under day to round out the chase card with a 17-under total.

Paul McBeth will lead the chase card at 16-under, three strokes off the lead. He’s three clear of the rest of the card and will look to chase down the title from the second card.

Calvin Heimburg left his mark on Northwood Black with a scorching course record 9-under round to jump 40 spots from the cut line into a tie for 15th place. The 1063-rated round was 15 strokes better than Heimburg’s first round at Northwood.

MPO returns to Eureka Lake for Championship Sunday. Buhr and Barela shot 11-under and 9-under, respectively, to open the tournament on Thursday. Wysocki turned in a 6-under round.

Live coverage of FPO will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the Disc Golf Network and the DGPT YouTube channel with the back nine at Northwood Black. MPO coverage begins at 3 p.m. CT.
