Hailey Huber dropped a 1010-rated round — the highest of her young career — to open up a three-stroke lead in FJ15 on Thursday, highlighting a day full of stellar opening rounds across the 330-player, 19-division PDGA Major in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Fifteen of those divisions are separated by three strokes or fewer with three rounds to go.

In FPO, Eveliina Salonen carded an ace on her way to an 8-under round at Rollin' Ridge and a one-stroke lead. It's Finland at 1-2 on the leaderboard with Henna Blomroos one stroke back. Ohn Scoggins and Wisconsin native Hailey King will round out the lead card.

Here's a quick look at the tightest battles after one of four rounds in Manitowoc:

  • Holly Finley leads by two in FP40.
  • One stroke leads include Barrett White (FP55), Suzette Simons (FP65), Kimberly Adams (FA55), Bayli Long (FA3), Lauren Wise (FA4).
  • There are three ties: Sandy Gast and Kathleen Hudson in FP60; Kayla Hess and Annika Wiebe in FA1; Lauren McKanna and Aubrey Terry in FJ18.
