Legends of the sport and the future meet this week in Illinois.

Masters Worlds has long been a reunion, a gathering of friends and competitors with relationships and rivalries that go back maybe decades. Juniors Worlds, in its own way, is becoming very similar.

The two generations of the sport convene this week for one of the largest PDGA World Championships in history in the Peoria, Illinois area for the 2022 PDGA Masters and Junior Disc Golf World Championships.

It's a massive meeting of the pioneers and the rising stars of disc golf with over 1,100 competitors spread across 14 courses in the Land of Lincoln. Masters Worlds kicks off Tuesday and the Juniors hit the course on Wednesday.

There are titans of the game set to compete, with so many names with so many PDGA Major and World titles in the field, as well as the future, in players like Cadence Burge and Ilkin Groh, two Juniors players that have already taken down a Major title this season.

There are a few new names as well this year at Masters Worlds: 2012 FPO World Champion Sarah Hokom, Holly Finley and Juliana Korver, who makes her Masters Worlds debut with five FPO World titles to her name.

It's going to make for a thrilling and full week of disc golf, a week where the memories, the friendships and the PDGA World Championship crowns will carry on forever.
