What is Women's Disc Golf Week?

We celebrated PDGA Women’s Disc Golf Week for the first time in 2023. WDGW was set up to function as a bridge between Women’s Global Event years and a way to encourage organizers to keep their WGE events going during the off years. Women’s Disc Golf Week is designed to, like WGE, celebrate women and girls in disc golf and to encourage as many women and girls to participate in the sport as we can.

In 2023, instead of global leaderboards and player packs like with WGE, WDGW offered opportunities to recognize individual women and girls in our communities, still waiving the temporary membership fee, and also even offered 20% discount for new women members.

What Will Women's Disc Golf Week Look Like in 2025?

  • Women's Disc Golf Week will be held May 17 - 25, 2025 (purposefully including two full weekends, like in 2023)
  • We will again have temporary membership fees waived for participants in gender-based divisions at C-tier level events from May 17 - 25 (info for TDs below) where applicable
  • Recognizing women and girls that you nominate during the week of Women’s Disc Golf Week
  • New in 2025, and during the entire month of May

    • To facilitate the growth of the women membership, we are offering a 40% Discount for new first-time women and girl members, use code: NEW4WDGW25
    • To encourage leadership from women and girls, all women and girl members will be able to take the certified official exam for free, no code necessary
    • To welcome communities that are women-led by and for women and girls, we will have free Women-only PDGA Club registration, use code: CLUBS4WDGW25
      • As an added bonus to get your club started, the PDGA is offering a free 25-pack support package for at least the first 20 clubs to sign up
      • See below for complete details on the PDGA Club benefit

How do I sign up?

Find an event during Women's Disc Golf Week and just come out and play! If you are not yet a PDGA Member, you can take advantage of waived temporary membership fees at events that have opted in (this will only be for C-tiers, since PDGA Membership is required at B-tier and above).

Hi Bobby, It does not have to be a women-only event to offer the waived temporary member fee for folks playing in women and girl divisions or to participate in "women's disc golf week". We just want women to be able to find an event to play in.
