Thanx Chris for the compliment, if it wasn't for RRDG I wouldn't have been able to play as well as I did in the conditions that were out there.

As for a list, I've never seen one, that's not to say there isn't one, I just haven't seen it.

The way I remember last years skins final was only the people who qualified played for position, everybody else that showed played for the sake of playing and not for skins. It was held on it's usual day and time.

I don't see anybody bithin and cryin just wondering what is going on. Please don't persecute people for asking questions, give them answers if you have them.

The place to bring a list is when you have members together at the course not this board. Let's do this together. If people are asked in person to step up and decline then they can hush up when decisions are made. I have never been asked to do anything for the club.

two weeks ago a liablity form was created stating I (not the club or TWC)would be responsible for any damage caused by installing concrete tee boxes. "I" got the tags to raise money, "I" have lobby for concrete with the city over the last 3 years, "I" designed the tee boxes,"I donated a $300 basket to the course....So yeah you right it is about "I"

I am fine however with whatever happens to the pay out as long as it gets paid out, I just think the usual skins final is the most fun, it always has been the best part of the skins league.
when final results are up, I say we officially vote, those not online can be contacted if necessary, if too complicated than so be it, what happens happens. Those not in final can play doubles, match play, horse, washers,... whatever they want, everyone in on the ace pot and its all good:D

As for next league, I like the idea of no overall standings, just everyday payout and thats it, it might be a nice change from all the headaches of league standings, club bickering, so on so forth, just a chilled out random doubles for 2 or 3 months at the ROCK.
Overall random dubs standings don't really mean anything anyways for personal stats.

Wasn't this so much more fun when back in the old days we had an El Presidente, a Vice El Presidente and a Treasurer. This club has gone way over board with the bureaucracy. It's almost sickening. Man this is disc golf people, this is supposed to be something we can all do for fun, but in a competetive nature, enjoy friends and drink a few brews or have plenty of water in some cases. I got news for all of you, you're not going to change the world with disc golf. GROW UP! If we would go back to that "OLD" mentallity which I know some of you think is sooo bad, wouldn't things be much more pleasant like they used to be. This club can still have as many members as it does and run a yearly league without all of this B.S. Remember the play for a dollar, a dollar goes to ONE BIG party, and bring a freakin CTP!!! If you want to make money playing golf, hit all of the tournies on the weekends and leave this league the way it was always originally intended. Man I'm getting teary eyed. I want the old school back :(

Skins should have a money round on the same course we have been playing on. Yes just like we did in the past. That was the fun part. Just like the old days.
Yes it was nice when we VOTED for our cabinet to run the club. Yes that was the good old days. I cant afford to play for money. lets break the up club) Sorry for that I had a flash back. Moving on. At list we had a little more understanding what was going to happen. I think it is time that we all go back to voting. The last cabinet we had fell a part because of all the crying. Well there is more crying and poooo then I have every seen. Now I think the only ones left on the board are Keith and Eddie. Now that Rob dropped out. All the other people where ask if they where on the board. They all said no back then. Now they come and go. Please don't think I am throwing pooo at the old cabinet members. I think old cabinet needs to set down and come up with a list of things that all active club members can vote on and let the club run its self. It is not that hard. We got a lot of new members that are not having fun or have not seen how strong we can be. Lets put the fun back in to this club. We had the strongest club back in the good old day. We can do this ROUND ROCK! Lets all come in 1st place ROUND ROCK.

Well, I thought this would be a good time to chime in.
I beleive dynamics is what is important with a club this size.
First, I think things have generally been ran better each year for the five/six years that I have been coming out.
Second, whether the "deciding" person is voted on or is annointed has shown to be mute.
Yes, there should be structure and definitions, but the ability to change, adapt, has kept the club healthier. People's lives change a lot, and I think there needs to be the ability to adjust for this.Voting makes this more difficult. Also, strict, autocratic decision making has been the biggest threat to this club in the past. We have a lot of people and a lot of strong personalities, that if not satisfied with Weds, will go and do their own thing.
So communicating with the the people who are playing a lot that particular season is what is most important. This should be going on anyway. Strangely enough, I think Wednesdays is one of the worst times to handle these communications. I think things like this forum are perfect for this communication.
Maybe a little late, but I am confident that the people who really care will continue to communicate here and by phone, and by Wed, there will be an agreed upon solution.

We tried it before and I think we can make it work :confused:

52 weeks in a year = 5 different formats 10 weeks each.

3 small leagues to funnel dollars into 2 big payout leagues. (these 3 smaller leagues will be for the guyz who are their to play for hats and watermelon the other 2 leagues can be for the money hungry guyz who are changing the club and making it miserable for the watermelon guyz)

2 extra weeks = 1 week each for a final for the big leagues and party.

So I guess it wasn't resolved at the club meeting last night ?

Meeting at winter course hole #1
3:30-4:45 CFO's
4:45pm cut off for sign up if you are late you will be bumped & someone who is there will get your spot (must have 6 rounds of skins)
5pm tee off 19 holes
Same rules apply to skins final as skins league - tags also
Everyone who has qualified (6 matches) will play the skins final
Amount per skin on each card to be posted Tuesday
Those not qualified for skins final will play WOLF for $2 or $6 (club, ace, & $4 optional side bet)
cards will be made in the order of sign-up

Rules of the next doubles league announced Wednesday night.

Now down to the important issues - everyone bring some good food (& Newcastles) - Keith has the charcoal (must have knocked off a semi last year or something) - I'll make a pot of beans & some potatoe salad from scratch. Now let's go have some @$&#[email protected]!! fun. :cool:

I'm not going to thank the cabinet for making a decision that should have already been made and letting a few dictate what is going to happen with the final or no final. The cabinet needs to be on the ball make decisions and stick with them, there will always be people who agree and disagree with decisions made.

This club is also founded on family - we as a cabinet - decided to start @ 14 to promote the long standing tradition of cooking together as a family after the round (this is inclusive of both tradition & family, not just the sweeping mark of some disrespectful newbe). There is light & a BBQ to help pass time as pay out is figured. We didn't cook last night, but have & will in weeks to come.

Sorry not able to post scores from last night - Edman took the computer from the house this am :(. I'll have them for you as soon as I dig myself out of this hole at work.

With the rounds finishing at and around 8.......I don't think we will be doing much food cooking. Unless its already cooked.

Ah yes, those who believe that change is always the best thing. Ever heard of "don't try to fix something that isn't broke". No there was nothing ever wrong with the way we always did things in the past. And I can guarantee you that we never heard the beetchin that comes out of the club now.

Lala, I understand where you're coming from with the pavillion thing. But there's some guys who have been playing like 10 years together in this club all season long. After playing through the frost bite we always anticipated the warmer weather, the longer days of light and most of all meeting at Hole #1 for a change of scenery. If you have enough time you could always meet at one of the cabanas after the round. Vinnie nothing wrong with honoring the past with some good old tradition. And thanks for asking the bones are still hanging in there....barely...it's been good to be back out again! Maybe the cabinet needs to put it up for a vote next Wednesday. I'll be MIA for the next two rounds because of a work function and a baseball game so you know what my vote would be. Ya'll have fun with it

Where and who have you been around for 6 years now Josh? It sure hasn't been in Round Rock. How long have you been playing as a part of our weekly mini's? Maybe a little over a year or so? You've heard from the wrong sources as far as "what this club is known for", that is atleast from 3 years and over before we decided to "grow" the club. And if that's what we have always been known for, why did you want to be a part of it???? Now if you're talking about the last few years, yeah I'd agree with that. But before that I know you've got it all wrong. The regulars who have been playing together for 5 years or more have always been very laid back, maybe a couple of exceptions.
