This is the last weekend for deer and Quail in Howard county and the last chance we are going to get to go..If we are lucky enough to get a deer (Quail is a given) or even a pig orr two it will help fill up the deep freezer.....Rusty will be there all week doing repairs to the hunting cabin and scouting the deer and pigs.........Hopefully I can get a few and then we can have some sausage on the pit at the neww cabana.....Are you saying its done and the BBQ pit is in???

How is the tongue? My sister in law had the same surgery but not cancer. She said she was miserable because of the swelling and it was really tough just to breath. Hope yours is going okay. Are you still on a liquid diet? Hope to see you soon on Wednesdays again since it is good to see you "youngsters" :Dout there! :D

swelling is a bit of a problem because it don't appear to be going away anytime soon. thinking of having some tee shirts custom made. the liquid diet was good for a few days then came puree food that wasn't good ever. you need alot of protein so it's best to start with insure then add what you can like cottage cheese or mac and cheese. then there's the trade offs. how much chewing and swallowing you can take versus flavor. the other day i chewed up a piece of gardetta melba toast. wow, that was ignorant.

ok so 3 weeks we had CTP's that were won and now we have none? if you won a ctp 3 weeks ago you still owe a CTP this week.

I did not see you LT, along with the rest of us who ran like wet sceeered fools to safety when the REAL weather showed up!! I/we were on 5 when it ended (can you say pre-paid next week?) due to, and get this, Paul (sooner) Why? Camper, Mr Cell phone weather man says " If it get's us it will be by a cnt hair" the weather went from, i wish i was out of here to....i hope i can get out of here...... for all those that walked away drove away or had the brain's to just ride around THANK YOU!!! Jerry & Marteeen stuck around and ran taxi service back to the parking lot!! Man What a night...getting tired of wednesday golf nite and having RAIN, tornado's, HAIL (park under a tree Chris) and higher winds......at least we, 16 fool's made an effort to play.....and man was that a bad move!!

i can't believe people went out there and tried to play. now i can start being impressed.

good times. there arer 14 people that are pre-paid for next weds. no hail damage to any oif the vehicles that stayed in the park.. and when I was leaving the sun came out very nice sunset. yes thank you Jerry and Martin for shuttling us back to hole 1 to get our cars. that wind made for some mad crazy Distance rollers.

Mini Format for the Month of April:

Week of April 1: Tonight we will play PRO / AM random draw and Thursday will be singles @ wilco.

Week of April 8th: will be random draw on weds @ RR with random draw on Thursday @ wilco

Week of April 15 will be pro / am draw weds @ RR and singles on Thursday @ wilco

Week of April 22 will be random draw weds @RR and random Draw Thursday @ wilco.

Week of April 29 will be Pro / AM draw on weds @ RR and singles on Thursday @ wilco.

So the week it is random draw will be for both days and when we do Pro / am draw on weds it will be singles on Thursday.

So pro/am draw is two division doubles, and just random draw is one division doubles, correct?

close grass hopper.. random draw is all one division. Pro am draw is where an AM is partnered with a pro but still only 1 division.

From what I understand it goes like this,
You are am if:
Wind under 17mph and player rating under 948
You are pro if Wind over 17 and over and player rating 949+

You have a choice anywhere in between. With gusts above 31 it starts getting complicated! There will be an additional wind formula table to follow. Can someone bring a wind meter? :D:D:D

After some dumb luck � I was able to line up a great surprise for the disc golfers that make it today�
There will be 3 golf carts w/ 2 Bud Girls each driving through the course and providing beer, conversation and just plain old nice sights.

I would like to say if we have odd # of players we could do random draw and on nights we have even # we do pro/am as I dont think it is fair to anyone to have to take theirselves out of the draw. I did see climo as russell would spell it (Klimo) leave it that maroon ford Awesome putting display ware 2. :D

I wasn't looking for fair - I was looking to stop the [censored]. After almost 40 stupid e mails during the day & multiple members asking me to remove them from future e mail lists because people are using it like the F'ing discussion board, I'll be damned if I'm gonna deal with the "what do we do if we're odd?" "Why aren't we playing Pro/Am this week - you said so on the board?" "What do we do if an am draws cali?" Pretty much I've had it with all the [censored] & if it means that I lose my shot at $500 (which I almost hit on 15 - would have been [censored]) then it's almost worth it so that I/we don't have to hear all the [censored] [censored]. It's golf after all - it's supposed to be fun (not just for the "members" that we work our [censored] off for, but for the cabinet too)! It's seems unfortunate that some of the membership fail to see how good they have it & can only turn an opportunity to give their opinion into something that threatens a split in the club again.

Singles was never a "Pros" idea of a way to get away from the ams - it was just an idea of a different format! [censored], if you're not tired of playing doubles (whoever you are), then you must be new to this club. We play doubles ALL THE TIME - the people (not Pros, the people) that wanted to play singles, were just looking for a new format - something other than doubles. What better time to play singles than when it's not blazin [censored] hot. In the end, it really doesn't matter - let's just hope I never ace when I pull myself out of the draw to make it easier for all the swingin [censored] in this club. Sux & it sounds strange for someone that has worked so hard to make disc golf equal for the ladies (equal tee boxes, equal entry fees, & equal payout - I'm from Round Rock after all, I aint no [censored] [censored] girl) to be the one that says - "You know what? It's easier if I just pull out & miss my chance of acing for money again this week (not to mention playing with my family & having fun) so that we don't have to listen to one more [censored] whiner."

i don't give a [censored] what format it is. just being able to be there and get some golf in, with friends, is all i care about. :D

and if you want to be productive and not COUNTER PRODUCTIVE.....take your ideas up with the cabinet members 1x1, and let them get consensus and get an official word out. Otherwise, it turns into a CF like that email thread yesterday.

Sometimes, having no "structure" can lead to real productivity. But in the case of this club, "structure" is good. Without it......well, we've seen what happens. Its like a classroom with an substitute teacher...pure pandemonium.

We have to let those in charge do their job without constantly undermining them.
