We will use three course that you know and three that have never been seen.
The three you know:
Hunter
McClure
Dovillio
The Three you don't:
?
?
?
Its a surprise. :D

The three new courses will start being developed soon.
And two of them will be big.

A down under Chandler. And it looks to be a permanent course. :D

I heard rumors that Dovillio would get some improvements. Is that true?

Mar 03 2005, 05:35 PM
At this point it is planned that Dovillio will get all new baskets and upgraded tee pads but will remain as a natural tee pad course.

This is awesome news, however I think it hurts my chances of getting to go to Flagstaff this year. I've played two of the ones that are to be used for World's, and they are sweet! I can't remember which was which, but one was by the rec center (McClure?), and one was on the southeast side with a large creek by the back nine (Dovilio?).
Props to the Tulsa guys for making it happen. There will be a huge influx of Texas players there, expecially from DFW! Is it 2006 yet?!?

For Texans...
Looks like this year's cutoff for MA1 was 400 points (Top 25% = 374 points but MA1 mininum is 400).
Would imagine 2006 will be similar.

Dave. Now that we got the Worlds, you might want to think about cleaning up your act and/or posting somewhere else. We need to maintain a wholesome family atmosphere so as not to scare away the Texans and other innocent victims that may be planning to venture to our abode. As this event gets closer we may also need consider the Mitchell factor and do what we can to limit his exposure. Do you know anyone who has a dark basement that we can lock him in?
twoputtok
Mar 04 2005, 12:29 PM
We already have that covered. John Green will be our official spokesman. :D
As for Mitchell, we thought we would make him the liaison for the Texas players. Since they are used to strong winds, he can provide them with wind from either end of his body. :D

Well I guess I am one of their best customers. I'll see what I can do. I'll need to make up some slogan to get them interested. How about..."Disc's fly higher with Blue Sky vodka". or "Blue Sky Vodka.....Don't tee off without it!". I don't know. Maybe we should work on getting Hooters involved. Then we can get Boobs to do the talking.

... awright guys ... lots of you have some talent in this area , or know someone who does (wife , friend , etc.) ... your TDSA Club (in order for more Member/Player involvement) wants to see or hear your ideas on ARTWORK and LOGOS for the 2006 PDGA Amatuer World Championships to be held in Tulsa,Ok ... with all the merchandise that will be featured (sales beginning this August) ; it is possible that anywhere from 5 to 12 different designs or themes will find their way onto Discs , Shirts , Caps , Towels , Flyers , Programs , Signs , Trophies , Minis , etc. ... get them "creative juices" flowing
just a thought, but maybe have some of the courses (either aerial photo, or drawn outline aerial) on 1 side of a shirt. (have seen this on many bike riding shirts) with enhanced "tee" and "hole" maybe even preferred line with each hole , and numbered. a lot of my coworkers can fly, so if we need to, we might be able to get one of them to take some pictures for us? just a thought.

when is that huge indian statue with the eagle landing on his arm going up? something like that might work with a cool disc theme...just another idea.
let's hear some ideas. the logo with the wolf for am world this year is pretty sweet. i would like to see our club better that one

Good Luck with that one. Coy is an awesome artist! He did the Wolf and does all the stamps for the Memorial as well as all the designs for discrafts discs. But if someone could come up with something comparable, that would be AWESOME!
I would like to see a Indian theme, maybe a Indian dancing in full outfit, but make it COROLFUL for the INNcolor disc... http://www.10500bc.org/albums/BellPowWow2003/IMG_0882.jpg

I like the graphic of the state with the collage of other images in the state boundaries. I agree the boundaries could be made to look less blocky and more smooth and rounded. Also, the star would have to be moved to Tulsa or maybe some other image than a star since that typically represents the location of the state capital.

Well it sounds like someone won the ace pot last night but just as I predicted, they were unable to collect the money due to it being lodged up Twoputt's wazoo. :p From what I hear even the talk show host was unable to retrieve the money due to several tire tools and old banana skins blocking the way. After several hours the recovery attempt was called off and the winner went home empty handed. :( ...The rest of the group then proceded to tie Twoputt to a tree as a DG sacrifice to the park squirrels. You will then no longer be know as FurDog and will be referred to after that as HairlessMutt.

I like Dovillio but what are we going to do about the Bicycle tire chain , wheel rim baskets out there? Just got off of the phone with the city of owasso. Not good news. Owasso will not entertain a new course until fiscal year 2006. That means after July of 2006. :(
Their budget this year was allocated for the new playground complex south of the city, equipment and enhancemens to existing parks.
While it will not happen this year, they are very interested in having it budgeted for the 2006 fiscal year. It will be installed in Centennial Park at 86th St N and 161st E ave. It will be an 18 hole course.
So even though no this year, it WILL happen next year.
Better than no course at all. :D
All of this is based on the City paying for the entire course, if you would like to see it happen sooner, please send a check for $15,000 and I'll Git-R-Done. :D

I agree.....but better than never. ;)
I would like to have it this year but in all honesty, with the up comming worlds and every thing we are doing to get ready, I don't think the Owasso course would get the attention it needs to be done right and promoted in the community the way it needs to be done.
By waiting until after Worlds to have this course could be the best thing to do for the course.
This course was never intended to be part of the 06 worlds.

... that B.A. Course at Neinhues Park has gotten postponed also ... Rick Neil had said that it wuz a "done deal" ; baskets, signs & all paid for ... etc. ... well , I guess that was inaccurate ; as his last update is targeting next Fall for installation ( instead of this Fall ) ... :(

To play trucker? Is that when you stop at the truck stop to pick up those nice trucker girls to keep you entertained.
