Course Reviews
I would give this slightly less than five if I could just because it could be a little more challenging, but it shouldn't be lumped w other 4 star courses.
This is one of the most fun courses I've played. My favorites are Plamann in Appleton, WI, Okeeheelee in West Palm Beach, FL, & now Zimmerman Park in Zimmerman, MN.
There are short holes, long holes, lefts, rights, uphills, downhills, long bomb, no trees, some trees, & lots of trees. Very little bad rough, although I did the impossible & lost a disc on 12. Best marked course. Markers have distance & are new. Tees are high quality concrete.
Course was perfectly manicured. Had a blast. I'm pretty good, shot +2, & brought 2 13 year old boys who are on first year of discing. We all had a blast. Thank you city of Zimmerman!!
Best free disc golf course in the area. Tees were clearly marked and we'll maintained. Baskets were numbered and easy to see. After the 1st few holes there is a lot of trees making this course callenging yet rewarding.
Very Fun course and good next level course. First 7 are open, most of the rest are wooded. Pretty flat. Distance between start and finish is a ways. Plan to park by finish in the future.
Difficulty: 3 (Nice to start out with easier holes)
Course: 4 (not the best marked, but found it intuitive first trip)
Fun factor: 4
Traffic: 5 (no waiting)
Disc Eater: 5 (you have to screw up bad to lose a disc)
Might make a nice weekend day trip for northern cities players to do an Elk River-Zimmerman-Princeton-Springvale-Cambridge-Isanti-Blue Ribbon Pines circuit.

Very fun course. Great variety.
Someone painted a nice big map of the course next to Tee #1.
First two holes are open field.
There are three holes up hill and three down hill....all are fun ones.
All tees are cemented. All tees have a posted hole # sign with distance and par # listed.
Has both open holes and wooded holes.
Some players will play all the holes as par three but there are five par 4 holes posted for those of us who like getting some birdies, or even an eagle.
No water and few big weeds .... little chance to lose your disc here.
All baskets are visible from the tees except #11 is dog-leg left, behind trees
Football fields are often open so you can practice long driver shots in the park.
You are likely to hit some tall Oak or Pine trees in the back half, but the trees are not real badly thick except the 16th hole.
Only 2 holes are over 300 feet - the 8th and18th holes.
Picnic tables at holes 1, 5, and 8 to rest or snack at, or eat at any of several nice restaurants with in 1/2 mile of the park.
