Holes 1 and 2 are closed. Start at 3 and play thru 19 and 20.
This is a really fun course to play. Good mix of woods, open shots and obstacles. I haven't had any problems with parking at the lot near tee #8/9. There are signs at each tee with arrows pointing you in the direction to the next tee. well maintained course. well spread out course and you will cover some ground walking. There is an extra basket out at #15 to the right of the real #15 basket (not sure what it's doing there. I was told it was used for tournaments? Make sure and throw disc to basket on the left side). Also, the map is incorrect with basket #2 and #3. They have added a new #2 basket since this map was put out and now there are 2 #3 baskets. One is played over the water (it's the old #2) and then the #3 as listed on the map. I guess it's your pick which #3 you decide to play. There are 2 distinct baskets for each of the #3's. It is a little confusing to get to #1 from #18 if you start midway through the course. To get to #1 from #18, walk past #18 basket and take a right just beside the tennis courts. Also, to get to #16 after #15, walk to the right and then up the path alongside the woods.
Easily the best course in the area, and you'll know it by the number of people already out playing. Holes show much variation - tight and wooded; vast open fairways; water hazards. The course is exceptionally well-maintained and beautiful! Two or three Par 4's tossed in there, depending on basket location. And baskets are regularly rotated to and from their alternate positions. This course makes for a good hike, but I've seen three year-olds walk it so it's not overly strenuous.
Nice course for experts or beginners. Park either off Country Club Rd at #1 (Carolina Outdoor Education Center), or down at #8 off South Rd at the administration building, before the exit for Hwy 54 W.
Note that there aren't many signs pointing to the next basket, but the course for the most part is linear and so well-traveled that the next basket is easy to find. Take special note at Hole 15 - you must backtrack up the line of trees to the right of the fairway to find a small orange sign pointing to #16. #16 and #17 play through the woods.
Also, as of this summer (2011) #5 may be overrun with hornets in the middle of the fairway. Be careful and keep your eyes open!
Pretty good course, but crowded because of the location. I had to skip holes 3 and 4 because a challenge course with a zip line was in progress. We went the day after it rained so our feet were soaked because the ground was so soggy, but it was still fun. I would go back to this course, but I like Southern Community better.
this course is fun to play but bring your legs, you will cover a lot of ground!! Some holes are wide open and others wooded with semi-narrow lanes. Park by hole 8 and play from there otherwise if you park at one, after you finish 18, you will be up for a steep uphill walk to the cars. The hole 8 parking also allows you to play anytime and not worry about campus "rules" as far as student "ID" parking. The course can get soggy in lower areas, after a rain but this course is FUN!

The course is in terrible shape from the construction. I played it last year and couldn't wait to come back. First we ran into all of the construction with the pond on #1 being drained and completely rebuilt. Secondly, the grounds crew forgot to mow the grass since last year and it was like that for most of the holes. Until all the work is done, I would not recommend even playing the course.
