Is my rating influenced by the fact that I live down the road and have played 50+ rounds at this course over the past year? MAYBE.
Is it still a great course? ABSOLUTELY.
With 2 tees and 2 baskets at each hole, its a great course for beginners while still offering a challenge for experienced/pro players. There's a great mix of both wide open fairways and narrow tunnel shots to work on all areas of your game. Holes 2-5 are out in the main recreation areas of the park so you gotta keep an eye out for pedestrians, but the rest are detached enough into the woods that you can often throw freely.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the distance between the 9th basket and the first tee. At the end of each round, you gotta walk across the park to get back to your car. Not a huge problem, especially considering there were originally supposed to expand the course to 18 holes.
All in all, if you're from RI or nearby MA - or just happen to be in the area - it's certainly worth checking out.
