PDGA Clubs Introduce the Target Incentive Program Supported by DiscStore

Monday, June 9, 2025 - 13:36

This Summer, the PDGA Clubs program is running a contest. The winners will receive ten (10) championship-caliber targets to be used in the installation of  a new 9-hole course in their area!

Concept: To the Club that signs up the most new PDGA members through September 30, 2025, PDGA will donate 10 new targets, to be installed as a new beginner-friendly track in the community (9 holes + 1 practice). An additional 10 targets will be donated to the Club registering the most renewing members, for a total of 20 targets and two 9-hole courses donated by PDGA in 2025.

*The PDGA intends to award two different Clubs, so if the winner in both categories is the same, we will revert to the 2nd highest total of renewing members. PDGA Clubs Program Director will determine final results.

Requirements: To the PDGA Club that attracts the highest percentage of new PDGA members based on their Club size (per capita), the PDGA will grant 10 DiscStore “Grow the Sport- Championship” targets (9-hole course + 1 practice target), a $4,500 value.

To the Club that attracts the highest percentage of renewing PDGA members based on their Club size (per capita), the PDGA will grant 10 of the same targets (9-hole course + 1 practice target), again, a $4,500 value.

*note- DiscStore also provides a great PDGA member benefit!

Reporting Process: Club size was reported at time of PDGA Club registration. We will use the number of coupon code uses from participating Clubs to determine the percentage at which that Club grew and/or supported PDGA membership in 2025, from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.

  • "Per capita" in the context of a contest usually means adjusting results or scores based on the population or size of a group, to make comparisons fairer. This logic will account for differences in Club sizes— so smaller groups aren't at a disadvantage compared to larger ones.
  • The process is simple; we look at the number of coupon codes used for new memberships from each Club, then compare that to the size of the Club reported at time of registration. The Club with the largest percentage of new members will win. Same process for renewing members.
    • The “per capita” model incentivizes Clubs to generate more new/renewing members directly correlated to the size of their Club, which can have a real impact at the local level.
    • Additionally, it behooves a Club to be honest about their size when registering as a PDGA Club, as that is a direct correlation to the ratio of new/renewing members as a result of this activation.

Criteria: Clubs wanting to participate must email [email protected] to declare their involvement. In said email, Club must provide evidence of the following:

  • Must be an active PDGA Club to participate. Only PDGA Clubs registered between October 1, 2024 and as of June 9 (date of program launch), 2025 are eligible.
  • Club must already operate/manage at least one course to suggest sustainability of Club and new course
  • Club must run at least one sanctioned event or league in 2025
  • Club must provide roster of current Club members, including PDGA numbers where applicable.

Thanks in advance for all you do to help us elevate disc golf in our communities!
