7th Annual Pam B. Childs Memorial

The 7th Annual Pam B Childs Memorial will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the International Disc Golf Center (IDGC) located inside Wildwood Park in Appling, GA. The last three years PBC Memorial has raised over $13,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta and has a goal of $8,000 this year.  This event is one of three charity tournaments that is held each year at the IDGC, and is presented by Paul "Batman" Childs.  The PBC will have a great player's package, awesome prizes for the amateur divisions, and cash payout for the Pro divisions.  All this plus raising a significant amount of money for the local Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMDHC).  Representatives of the RMDHC will be out at the event to personally thank the players that give so much to the charity each year.  The Pam B. Childs Memorial has raised $17,050 over the past 6 years, last year was our most successful event at $7500.

“The Ronald McDonald House is a "home-away-from-home" for families of seriously and critically ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals.” Batman’s family has used their services in the past when his grandson, Collin, was in the hospital for open heart surgery. The family is grateful to RMDHC. “It was a blessing to know you didn't have to worry, “states Batman about his experience with RMDHC. 

Collin just turned 6 and is doing great after hopefully having his last surgery this year.  Please help Batman repay the Charity by supporting this event in any way you can.  Donations of CTP prizes, raffle items, auction items, tee sign sponsor/memorials or good old fashion cash donations are welcome.

As in years past the tournament staff is doing something different with the entry as they have a Sponsor Form to help you pay your entry fee. You can ask your friends, co-workers, and family to help you with your entry by donating to the Ronald McDonald House. With each $10 donation you will receive a raffle ticket for a variety of prizes.  The House needs our donations more than ever this year, they are in the process of building a brand new house for their operation center. 

If you’re playing in the event please remember to bring a new toy or $10 donation to give to RMDHC. Any and all players will be accommodated. NO player will be turned away. We will find a division for you to play in no matter your skill level.

  • $65 plus a toy for Open Divisions. $30+ going to payout.
