In this series, we’re taking a look at disc golf women across the country and around the world who run leagues, tournaments, clubs, and more. These powerhouse influencers will walk you through their challenges, struggles, and successes – and prepare you for your own.
Growing up, a younger Sara Nicholson would spend hours fighting to beat the high score on whatever game her family was playing that week. But when she would wake up the next morning, she’d find that her mom had played through the night to beat her score.
The Professional Disc Golf Association is pleased to announce the selection of Sara Nicholson of Columbia South Carolina as the new Memberships Manager for the organization. The selection was made as a result of a extensive search, which began in January 2011 following the departure of former Memberships Manager, Addie Isbell Strozier.
Candidates from both inside disc sports and from other fields were considered for the position. Ms. Nicholson will begin work on March 28th, 2011 and she will be formally introduced as the new Memberships Manager to the Board of Directors and members of the PDGA at the Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic SuperTour event on April 30th at the PDGA International Disc Golf Center in Appling, Georgia.
