In 1985, the Professional Disc Golf Association was an original charter member of the World Flying Disc Federation, and today marks the renewal of a collaborative relationship between the PDGA and WFDF that will greatly impact the future of disc golf on an international scale.

Through this partnership, the PDGA and WFDF will participate in a variety of promotional and strategic efforts, designed to get disc golf formalized in more countries around the world and increase diversity among those who play disc golf. 

These initiatives, along with facilitating relationships with the International World Games Association and the International Olympic Committee, pave the way for the exciting possibility of disc golf being featured in the World Games and the Olympics.
