2025 College Disc Golf National Championship - Final Recap
Liberty's Cami Lazo and Grace Wilson clicked as teammates from the beginning and, together, drew inspiration from the Flames' 2024 national title team.
Both of those things combined for back-to-back championships for Liberty.
Lazo and Wilson used their team dynamic — feeding off another's strengths — to once again put Liberty on top of the Women's Team world with a 6-shot win at the 2025 College Disc Golf National Championship in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Following Wednesday's singles action, Liberty trailed Emporia State by one stroke before the best-shot team portion of the PDGA Major began. Then they took off with back-to-back 10-under rounds at Winthrop Meadows. On Saturday, as play shifted to the woods of Camp Canaan, the duo kept it rolling after entering the day with a 7-shot advantage.
Emporia State's Madeline Joiner and Atlanta Krueger, the 2025 Women's DI Singles National Champion, finished second. Clemson's Noelle Erb and Missoury Wolff birdied the final hole of the week to climb into a tie for third with Milligan's Lily Marr and Grace Sanderson.
Bounce Back
Cincinnati is cementing itself on top of the Mixed College Disc Golf World. After taking the title in 2023, the Bearcats fell just short of back-to-back titles a year ago, falling in a playoff.
In 2025, the team of Tanner Young, Ilkin Groh, Bradley Caldwell and Luke Foglesong would not be denied.
The team hit the ground running right out of the gate, firing off a 15-under par round at Winthrop Lakefront, and kept it rolling in the woods of Canaan. Entering Saturday's final with a three-stroke lead the Bearcats backed their performance with another double-digit round to hold off their closest competitors.
Defending champions UNC-Charlotte jumped back into solo second place with a 10-under day, finishing one shot ahead of North Carolina.
