In town today checking out courses...Is it pretty easy to find where Redhawk and/or Blackhawk start in the park?

Take Sheridan North until you run into Mohawk, turn right follow signs to zoo...parking lot across from zoo parking lot has a building with RR

Unfortunately I left before the explanation of how to get there was posted, but I found my way around eventually.

The two courses were great though. The two longer holes on Redhawk were a definite change from what I'm used. Blackhawk was a challenge, I'm not used to playing in wooded courses and I only lost one disc on the last **** water hole. I had some good kicks all day off of branches and trees until then. Oh well...

We played Blackhawk on Saturday and Hunter on Sunday. The grass wasn't nearly as brutal at Mohawk as it was at Hunter. Hey Stacey, you really need to get on that!

Speaking of Hunter, we met Ashley, a somewhat new disc chick in Tulsa. She said she has met several of you guys (Wise, Briley, Powell). I'm very excited to meet her. It seems like she has the bug, just like I did last year. I was surprised to see a girl on the course by herself, with a bag! GREAT! I'm looking forward to playing with her more often, and hopefully we can get her out to some mini's soon!

I've played a couple rounds with Ashley, she's really nice and has some good game.

No doubt, the girl knows what she is doing.

Went by Mohawk at lunch, park closed, big surprise. :confused:
So I drove around to the ball golf side and looking east from the clubhouse towards the zoo and disc coursse, it was one solid lake. :o

Also got a call from Bougher, he was out at Sapulpa this afternoon and he said all you could see of basket #3 was the very top of the number plate and that #4 was completely out of sight. :o:o

And more rain on the way. :(

If it truly does rain more then I doubt the gates will be open tomorrow. If that's the case we will have to call off the mini. But if the gates are open we will play it by ear.

As of right now RedHawk is still on for tomorrows mini.

Gates open, gates closed, wax on, wax off................you might as well call it, there will still be a lot of places with ankle deep or more water on the course. :(

Not to say I wouldn't show up for it though. :D

I'm heading out to Mohawk at lunch to check out the course...if the course is in bad shape we won't play.

You never know it might be okay (?).

I WAS OUT AT KELLY LANE YESTERDAY AND THE FIRST FOUR HOLES THAT PLAY ALONG THE CREEK WERE IN WATER. HOLE 1 THE WATER WAS ABOUT 4" UP THE POLE...HOLE 2 YOU COULD SEE JUST THE TOP RING ON THE BASKET....HOLE THREE YOU COULD SEE THE TOP EDGE OF THE NUMBER PLATE AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO WASHED OUT DUE TO ALL THE TREES AND LOGS THAT WERE FLOATING PAST IT IN THE WATER....HOLE 4 YOU COULD SEE THE TOP EDGE OF THE BASKET WHERE THE CHAINS HANG FROM AND IT ALSO HAD LIMBS AND TREES CAUGHT IN THE CHAINS, IT MAY NOT BE THERE TODAY....MAY BE TIME TO CALL WORK DAYS AGAIN TO RESET BASKETS AND TEE SIGNS.....

I like that idea but I'm afraid with all the masses of rec players they've been getting on weekends and the course being packed, there might be some fists flying around if we end up throwing into them. Might not be a problem though if Aaron "Tough Guy" Swaggie and Ranger Twoputt are there to enforce security. ;).....

That would mean that he personally would be having to card a lot of 5's and 6's and 7's. :o

There is no way the "Course Pro" will allow himself to shoot a 72 at Chandler :D

Safari golf was great last night. We played doubles with four teams. Coda showed up late with B Swanson, so they were partners. Yes, Coda won with an even and we were at +3, everyone else was above that. It was worth the $5 just to watch him bomb some shots and make two huge putts and an added plus for the evening was his new side kick. :D;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
