you should of went to the canyon(4 degree),it's twice as warm there(tulsa 2 degree) :p

The tee pads are all cleared for tomorrow at Mac Taylor, there is also an area on each tee to set your bag on dry ground.

There were eleven of us yesterday at Mac. Believe it or not, it wasn't that bad out, the sleet was a little bothersome but other than that it was a pretty good day. :D

this weekend, March 4th, in Fort Smith at Ben Geren park. WAFDA is having the first annual Ben Geren Blowout. this is a single day two round event. it is a PDGA C tier sactioned event. all pro divisions $40, adv am $30, am $20, novice/jr $10.

regristration starts at 0700 players meeting sometime between 0800 and 0900 teeoff will be at 0900. for more information check either the northwest arkansas site or the western arkansas site. hopefully i will have an outstanding Tulsa area showing.

I know the Arkansas guys support our events. How ever this weekend is a Worlds work weekend. You guys have asked and asked when we are going to put some baskets in and when are we going to have new courses.

Well, that begins this weekend and I would hope that all the offers you the local guys have laid out there aren't for not. I too would love to play the tourney at BenG but I will be out helping for the Worlds, as all of you should be also.

It will be this way for the next several weekends.

The road to the 2006 Ams Worlds goes through Haikey and Dovillio first. Maybe after tonights meeting the powers that be will post a little more info on times, places, and what tools are needed. Will there be an auger available to dig holes and if not does anyone know how much it costs to rent one? :confused:....The nine hole course in Sapulpa was in the ground before lunch and we were losing disc's in the water by 1:00 o-clock thanks to a great group of volunteers working together to get it done. :)....The more volunteers, the quicker it gets done. :cool:.....I'm challenging all TDSA members to put up or shut up. I probably won't even be playing in the Am Worlds but I want to help as much as possible and show the world what a great DG club this is. :cool:...For me, that starts this weekend. Hopefully this will not be just a bunch of old guys showing up to do the work. Everyone has something to contribute. :)

Sounds fun, Crutch....I recommend playing Aquatic Park in Berkley, CA.

The course is closer to the Sanfransisco Bay than Riverside Park is to the Arkansas River...you can see downtown Sanfransisco AND downtown Oakland from most all the holes.

Seems that approximately at 2:15pm local time an emergency 911 call was received from some park patrons about a man who had froze his tongue to a metal disc golf pole hole. :o....Witnesses said that Mr. Avalanche had been "Triple-Dog-Dared" by one of his buddy's. Firefighters used the "Jaws of Life" to free the man who tragically lost 80% of his tongue but his wife, upon hearing the news, told this reporter that his tongue as well as his manhood, lacked any length or practical purpose anyway and that it would not be missed. :eek:.....

Medical officials declined to comment on the prognosis other than to say that once a big mouth, always a big mouth. :D

You wanna play a round, down there, up here, it does not matter. It could be done if either of us had the time. I think I could be there in 2 days if I leave now. It is nasty up here, been ice and sleet for about 6-7 hours now. We are hoping big time for snow saying 4+ up to 20in in some areas. I can drive in anything, but snow is way better. We always play in the snow, but this is pure k-rap, right now.

dan donkey'd the last hole to put himself soley in last with a 74.
wise played with the back of the leader card with a 73.
deil played at the top of the leader card all day finishing with 70.
yours truly played good enough to stay within striking distance and with a andrew treet style birdy on the same hole i attacked. finishing on top of the leader card with deil at 70. that is with 3 discs inthe water, 5 strokes better than my round at worlds. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So far, 4 inches at 6. They're calling for 6-12 inches here in Tulsa! The Tulsa Weather Service actually declared a BLIZZARD today. It's the first time EVER! Crazy.

Nice. Is it going to stay around till Wednesday? That would make for a fun Moonlight Mini. You dont even need lights when you play at night in the snow.

Nothing like playing in blizzard conditions and having a BLAST. For those that didn't make it out, your loss. I haven't had that much fun in a long time. :D

On a side note, the park closed with us in there. They left notes on our cars telling us how to get out. That wasn't so bad but now think about this, mohawk with a complete blanket of snow and no roads to be found. If I hadn't been in and out of there a 1000 times it would have been more than difficult. Plus, Boughers driver side wind shield wiper crapped out as we were leaving. :D

Woke up this morning to about 12-15 inches of new snow, got up at 6 and started shoveling, real nice watching the sun come up while your shoveling snow. :(
But its done and now I can sit back and laugh at the neighbors doing theres this morning, mine was all done by the time they woke up. :D

It would have been a blast to play that round in the snow. When I lived in OKC we played 1 night in the snow. With the light of the moon off the snow, we didn't even need glow sticks on our discs.

Night golf in the snow is definately cool, we've had full moon mini's with snow...but not this much!!

Where is the golf today...I'm at work, but all my appointments have canceled and just reading the stories from yesterday is making me want to go out and play today...I might be able to wonder off from work later.

I'll be at McClure with the sled not the discs ;)

When I got up at 3 this morning, it was a ice wonderland. We got abou 4 inches of ice and 1 inch of snow where I live. I would have rather had 6 ft of snow than 4in of ice. Definitely take some pics of Mohawk if you can, while you still have that winter wonderland. We have trees down and electricity out all over the city. No golf in this k-rap. :( but just maybe :D. I am getting stir crazy.

the way these okies act i snowed 3 feet, the power was out for a week.
