Shooter Alley is a local strip club and are sponsoring the tourney by dropping a grand added and supplying strippers for the event....I have no idea what the strippers are gonna be doing out there but it should be very interesting to say the least.

Whats the difference between a pole hole and a stripper? For a $100 you can play with both but only one of them will p!$$ you off when they spit?

freakin sweet. is claremore going to re-open the course they had going before it turned it to an Ice storm burning station. They had sweet brand new baskets.

Don't know about Claremore, that land was worthless anyhow and they never mowed it. Whats more I don't care, I'm getting a course within two miles of the house! :D

The baskets are in the ground and ready for play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will be working on getting the tee sign designs done over the next week or two. The tees signs are in and the distances are written on them for now. Please remember this is a NO ALCHOHOL / NO TOBACCO park, as are all parks in Owasso. If you do smoke, please be aware of your surroundings and DO NOT leave any butts on the course. We want them to finish the course next summer with a full 18 hole layout.

Directions: E 86th St N between 145th E ave and 16st E ave on the left hand side. Centennial Park. There is a practice basket near the parking lot but the course and hole 1 are located past the play ground next to the pavillion. You do not come back to the parking lot unless you are done playing so take everything with you.

This park is used by many walker/runners and most of the holes play along the pathways, PLEASE be patient and only throw when clear. We want to avoid any complaints.

Oh I forgot a big FYI: I have the first official Ace on hole 3 in the short position. Witnessed by Kyle Wilkes and Dave Pennekamp.

It was a very nice shot Dave. Into the wind, 258, with a boss. Dave just stood there and watched it go in. Pure shot!!

I believe all of these records are currently held by Dave at Centennial. First ace, lowest score for 18 (in that layout), first donkey. Am I forgetting anything else??

***edit I tried to sign his disc because of the whole first ace in the first round at a new course thing, and he declined. I guess the course karma caught up, because if I remember correctly the course claimed that disc later.

thanks to the people who gave up their personal play time for the taylors. jim and deb wont show any dissapointment but i would be supprised if they are so freely available for this club in the future.

Take a chill pill BVA! Not everyone has the time to spend 4.5 to 5 hours on a round. With the drive up and back and the time it takes to play the course and family obligations, not everyone can make that commitment. Plus with the wind warnings, the predicted weather change and the fact that there are 15 courses here in town, I can understand why some did not make the drive. I have nothing against the Lodge and would love to be able to play the course every day but that wouldn't be realistic now would it Brad?

You sir are a fool if you think just because the TDSA is holding a mini that that is where we are obligated to play. I myself and several others went to Mohawk. Why? I didn't have the 5 hours for a round, I had things to do other than golf. We started at Black at 1 and were done by 2:30.

Maybe you should lower your expectations a little or just try to be more realistic about it but above all don't come on here and chastise the membership because they didn't drive to Pawhuska for a mini. A lot of us have other things in life than disc golf, we wish we didn't but we do.

nobody was there for a mini the folks that showed up showed up for the work weekend that was on the schedule.

So your even more foolish if you think you're hoping to get a large turnout for a work day an hour away. :o How soon you forget Mohawk. We had the same 20 people through all of the clean up. We couldn't get more than that and it was right here in town. As for having workdays an hour away, if you got more than 6, you hit a home run. Sorry but the majority of our sport are very lazy and they don't come out to work, only play and as I get older and more worn down working on courses I tend to lean that way. Its hell to get old, do one day of course work and hurt for 5. :o

BVA, I thought I saw quite a few club memebers up there working. I know I saw, slack, thong, gary nail, wayne forest, wagle and maybe a few others. I was called up there to attend a meeting, then a course review.

On Sunday, I had other obligations.

Who cares what they wore they should been in the right mind to come vol. for a few hours of threre perchus lifes.

I played in Joplin the front nine...then went to work for awhile thinking that I would get in the rest of the course when I finished...silly me should have just played the thing in the morning, drove home at 5:30 in the sleet

I think what he is trying to tell you Muff, is that you should have been at the lodge working or helping out either Saturday or Sunday or both. I was there on Sat but don't feel like I did much. :confused:

IF YOU GO PLAY MCCLURE WATCH OUT FOR THE SLOPES NEAR HOLES 2 AND 6....WISE AND I ALMOST SLID INTO THE CREEK ON 2 LAST YEAR....AND I TOOK THE LONG SLIDE DOWN THE SLOPE ALMOST TO THE BALL FIELD ON 6 TRYING TO STOP A DISC FOR WISE....FUN TO PLAY IN THIS KIND OF WEATHER THOUGH....AND BY THE WAY I WORKED BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY....AND PLAYED GOLF SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.....

joyle jay and myself had a great time on that roof. it was entertaining watching jay try and avoid the electric supply lines like it was the plague or something, i even went over and put my hands onthe cables to show him it was safe. jay did give me a good reason for his respectful fear of electricity.after his explanation i didnt press the issue any longer.that is how he got painted,we traded possitions on the roof and my roller was still full of coating. the wind was howling and just blew the excess all north and all over jay.

Joyle and Billy, two more guys I forgot to thank for helping saturday. Debbie was wanting to know who all came up and helped. I think the next time you come up to play she was going to fix you a nice dinner or something. Thanks guys. :D
