Their was a tie at Even in Adv. Master between James (don't know his last name but hes the guy that hits all the aces on 18) and Joey Roper. James one the playoff. In the Int. (also known as who cares about who wins division) I won with a -1.

The Casa Lago Resort has new owner. John Murphy, the guy who charges for boat launching and moved the brush on the elevated green for the Flying Solo has purchased the Casa Lago Resort. He is also caretaker / manager of a lot of the property that the course is on. I see this as nothing but a positive since the previous owners did not care about their business or disc golf in general. I hope to be working with John to promote disc golf for the Resort and the community. :cool:Jon P

The LV Resort Disc Golf Course fall mow and weedeat is scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 29th and 30th.
Remember that the Lago Vista Resort Disc Golf Course is only maintained by the club and volunteers. All help definitely appreciated. Existing club members get free renewal and new helpers get half price membership fees for helping. I will have water, spare weedeaters, and trash bags.
LV Resort Disc Golf Course is for the players but if the players do not help with maintenance it is then obviously Less Playable.
Plan helping get the course in shape for the fall and winter.

Fall Course Clean Up. I have been going out in the afternoons pushing the mower. I have mowed 8 green, # 9, 11 green, 13's hump, 14 green, and 18 green. I will be out Saturday around 9:00 with my riding mower, push mower, weed eaters, and trash bags.
Sunday I'll be there around 10:00.
Whoever isn't playing in all the fun stuff this weekend please come out and work on the course. It really needs it.

For the man power that showed up for the fall cleanup last weekend the course is looking pretty good. General Jeff, Jim Warren, Jay Floridian Tudor, Larry Jones, and myself worked hard. Paths greens and most fairways are mowed. Hole 7 and 14 still have major tall grass if you can't throw the distance. I talked with the new owner last week and he said a lot of people are playing the course. The NSDG web site says to get maps as Casa Lago Resort. He said he had to run a bunch more copies from what I had given him. They have been working real hard to upgrade the rental properties and get them rented. I stressed how, 'We the club would do what we could to mow and that the course should receive a lot of fall and winter play.' Hopefully they will want to help come spring time. JP

This Saturday, April 15th, is the Lago Vista Disc Golf Course Spring Work Day
NSDG is working with the resort manager on course maintenance. The manager picked this day because of their busy Spring Season. They claim over time that they will take over all maintenance of the course, which would be great. So please come out Saturday and show your support and help with the cleanup. Lawn mowers and weed eaters needed. JP and some Lago locals will be meeting around 9 am somewhere between hole 9 and hole 2 working throughout the day on the course.

He will also honor the $65 a night rate as well. Chris & I are planning to do some course clean up Saturday and I told him I will give him a list of folks who need a room.

No you can't do that we where going to the Lake, and I was going to get a round of discgolf in at the Mini ;)

I am sure some people will show up even if they are told the 10th. Chile, you can run a whoever shows mini and get your round in. Doubles would be fun! :D

Next Mini 10/01/06 $ 460 Ace Pot

Casa Lago Resort and Cabo Loco have both closed. Round about info I get is they are tearing down all the shic and rebuilding condos. :mad: I am working to get a contact number for somebody that might know something.
As always but more than ever the fate of the disc course is up in the air. :mad::( :mad:JP

As of Sunday the baskets are still in. Sandman and I have the keys to all the baskets. With the resort having had three names and many more owners than that since the course was installed and none of them having a key North Shore Disc Golf owns the baskets. :DJP
