how'd the clean-up, mowing go?????
It was freakin' brutal and hot as he11, that's how it went. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Actually it wasn't that bad until after we played a doubles round and I realized how burned and exhausted I was.
We got a lot of work done out there today. A big thumbs up to all that helped out. Several weed eaters and one push mower made a world of difference. There's still more to do, but you'll be happy when you see what we got done. Its very nice.
I think I'll just take my weed eater along with my golf bag for the next couple of months. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Sandman and Steve Gottner shot -10 to take doubles, but they missed me and Kreke's -11 doubles record with one unfortunate bogey. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
(Of course Peacock and I also missed it...by 10 strokes! /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif)
C-dub, gotcha covered. We'll figure it out in the a.m..
Actually WB Jr., we got to get in the pool across the street from hole #1's tee. It was just what the doctor ordered. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Drive time from South Austin? Anticipated finishing time?
I just might make it!
Anticipated finishing time is somewhat of a current events topic. We were talking about that today as I was wondering why our rounds for the monthly minis take as long as they do. As for how long it takes me to get my act together when scorecards come in, some days chickens, some days feathers. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
To answer your question Joel, I try to make sure that we're wrapped up and done no later than 2:00. Sometimes we make that, and others.../msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Don't forget people, please stick around when we hand out prizes and then go to Eddie's Talk of the Town Restaurant. Eddie is a big supporter of disc golfers at Lago. He gives away a free breakfast/brunch buffet to each division that we have every month and welcomes us in after the round. He even lets us bring in our own choice of adult beverages and basically take over his nice little eating establishment. The last couple of months, our turnout at the restaurant hasn't really warranted the free meals that Eddie continues to give us, so let's turn out for him tomorrow.
And when you come out tomorrow, please be sure and thank the folks who worked hard in the heat today to make sure that you guys would have a nice course to play in the morning.

THANX FOR COMING OUT!!!!
that's about all i can give ya from the wrong side of the lake.

have fun, and represent
ROUND ROCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!
Wow, today should be interesting. I've probably had 5 minutes of sleep all night long. I think they must put cocaine in Allegra. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Alrighty then! /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif 56 Golfers from all over showed up to play the clean cut version of the Resort course today in blistering temperatures on a beautiful Hill Country day. And, surprisingly, I even stayed awake for the whole thing. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Here are the highlights (I ran it on paper today instead of my laptop, so after dinner I'll post the rest of the details).
21 Open
Greg Killam takes the CTP throw-off for half the Ace Pot, taking home $76.50. Don't be embarrassed Greg, its all good. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Vinnie Miller, sitting at -10 with a 20' birdie putt on the last hole, narrowly misses the $50 course record bounty, tying it instead for the Open Pro win. After looking at his scorecard, I'm thinking that -13 is out there waiting for him or someone.
Four Advanced Women! Yeah, baby! (Hey girls, I hear there's a new girl coming to the party next month. Ssssshh.)
Temple, Gatesville and Houston were all represented as well as great support from all the usual suspects. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
I'd just like to give a special shout out to the folks who were among the workers yesterday in even hotter temps, that busted their azzes to have the course looking awesome today. In addition to the North Shore Disc Golf Club faithful, we had a good showing from Round Rock. The Dragons are a big reason why these monthly minis are so successful and it was great to see them out on the workday.
Jon Peacock, Chris Sandman, Martin, Jim, Vinnie Miller, Eddie Miller, Chris Ware, Laddie Matula, Steve Gottner. Remember these names and the next time you see one of them on a course, tell 'em how much you appreciate them walking the walk and making the courses you play better. And, if I inadvertently left someone off that list, then I'm sorry and...you rock!
Back with more later, but I want y'all to know how much I enjoy these Lago monthlies. Thank each of you for making this the most fun I have every month. Gotta get off here before the lack of sleep makes me all mushy. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Oh, and Edman, I think I have your brother in law's cooler. Its got your brand in it, but I figured if it belonged to you and Laura it would be bigger. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
It was left behind as I was loading up and I was the last man standing. I'll bring it next time I can make the Wed. mini, but I can't guarantee that all four Newcastle's will be intact. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif

The last time I played Lago, the restaurant at the Resort was still open and they were displaying 3 ace disks on the wall. Today, the course looked better than it did then. Great clean up job, guys!If anyone finds my PUTTING game out there, please return it to the lost n found. The snake trick was a hard act to follow! (the guys on my card know what I mean)

Is anyone planning to approach the Lago Resort management about holding a yearly tourney there? Lots of us remember the 7 Oaks San Antonio event from a few years ago and this would be a great place to start anew. I know that 7 Oaks offered a room discount for disc golfers and we filled 30 rooms (or more). With the swimming pool and the lake, heck a two day "B tier" event could be alot of fun. How about some input,,,,,,

The Resort mow and weed eat, May 31st, was a big success. Ten people braved the heat to beautify and make the course more user friendly. Thanks to the course work on Saturday and the 56 who showed for the mini on Sunday. We nned to get Metal coming back out we could have used free water. Things are in the works with the new owners. Give it time.

Vinnie, I am not sure when they are opening. Hopefully soon. As far as I know they do not even know about the Texas 10. I will be contacting them soon and am working with Himing on contact information. I say find out how late you can cancel and reserve the rooms. I will contact Travis Lake Resort and The Shores to see about any discounts. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif Don't hold your breath though. JP

I must express thanks and boust my pride for the Lago Vista disc courses. To work so hard on the courses and then see the course full with people playing and having a good time is very rewarding. In playing around the women I heard a good time going on them having fun. I admire them for playing just as hard as anybody and having a great time. You go girls! Vinnie, Jon et al. All the details for Texas 10 at Lago Vista are on schedule, thank you. August 23rd is on the calendar and I will be ready.
When I spoke to the property owner association Thursday they said it is very unlikely the resort will be ready to take room bookings. So if you want to make room bookings elsewhere now I would advise it.
All details of the event on August 23 will be announced when they happen on the ZT10 thread.
I will also let everyone know when the back 9 at Arrowhead will be ready to cut in and played.
Sorry I couldn't make it to Lago on the weekend but I was there on Wednesday checking things out.
Had a lot of fun playing on a course I had never seen. It makes every shot an adventure but that's the nature of my game. I could tell that a bunch of mowing and weedeating had been done by all the good folks who gave it up to promote discgolf at Lago. Look forward to seeing some dragons at the Waco mini June 28th and at the Temple mini on June14th. Mark go to the doctor.

Well, Pace bend park(paleface) rangers, said it was no longer legal, right after some drunk idiot walked off a cliff, and didnt clear the rocks. Im sure with the passage of time, it was lifted.
Is the resort closed? Planning a vacation to Circle R. Is Lago Vista a "must play"? When is the mini? Thanks!

BAD NEWS, Saturday at the Resort dogs of a disc golfer ravaged the Shores deer feeding area, scared guests, and killed a cat in front of them. The Shores are the condo's and rooms above holes 3, 5, and 6. The manager is highly pizzed. I have been asked to tell everyone that there is a leash law in Lago Vita. If these same dogs are seen again the police will be called and they will show up. Sunday afternoon the same guys and dogs were seen playing. They are big dogs, one extra hairy collie type and the other was a big long haired black with white dog. It is likely that it was not anyone who keeps up with the PDGA disscussion board so readers please pass the word. Jon P
Jon,
Sorry to hear the news. Maybe we can find out who it is and ask them to please leave the dogs at home for a while till this cools down.
To everyone who owns a dog!!!!! There will always be those people who are afraid to speak out, but do not bring your dog to a public course without a leash. If you get a ticket it will reflect badly on all disc golfers. If you have one of those dogs that will not listen to you and you have no control over it, put it on a leash. If your dog obey's good have your leash handy in your bag just in case.

Jun 04 2003, 04:56 PM
I have seen the golfers with the dogs before but do not know who they are.
I personally have seen three people bit this year by dogs not on a leash, and the owners on the card.
Oh Jeerrrrrryyy. Nobody should be allowed to have a dog that is not on a leash at Lago Vista.
Maybe people should be told that.
[shaking head]
Randy,
You just say that because you are afraid of Martin's Chawawa/msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif LOL
There are a few dogs that would not harm a fly. As long as they obey when called I do not have a problem with them. However, I do not make the laws. But come on people whose dogs constantly attack other dawgs. Get a clue and leash your dawg.
Disc-laimer: Randy has the biggest DOGGONE DAWG in Austin so I know he is not skeerd of Chawawa's.
How about leave the dogs at home.

Hill Country Flyers MIni is Sunday July 6th. I was out there Saturday before last and this past Saturday and the course is open. The Casa Lago Resort is yet to open. The disc golf parking area does have a lot of summer vaction boat trailers in it but is open and even the paved parking lots were open. WTF? /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif Jon P
No worries Kyle...oops, uh...I mean...No sweat bro. (Been hanging around Aussies too much. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif )
The most fun thing I do every month, The HCF Lago Vista 1st Sunday Monthly Mini will take place Sunday, July 6th at its normal bat time. As we start the second half of the Lago mini season, there are a few surprises in store for the rest of the year and I hope nobody plans to miss out on any of these fun events from here on out.
Hopefully, our relationship with the new owners of the Resort will bear a lot of fruit for all of us. When they get open, it could open up a lot of new things for us to do, making this even more of a "can't miss" monthly happening.
Also, just a reminder, Psycho Mike Wilson of the TDGA will be on hand to tell us all about the big B-day bash they'll be having at the Temple course on the following Sunday. These folks have changed their mini schedule so as not to conflict with the Lago monthly and so that they can come out and support us. I think it would be great for those of us who come out to Lago once a month in big numbers, to go to Temple on July 13th.
Let's turn out not only to show our support, but to thank them for the good work they're doing for disc golf in yet another town that's on board with the program. There will be BBQ, plastic, sunshine (subject to change), golf and even some cameo appearances by city officials. What more can you ask for?
For those of you who will be coming back from the Dallas ZT10 the evening before (myself included), Psycho's even got a hotel deal worked out for us at the local LaQuinta. See the Temple thread for details.
Too bad the City of Austin can't be more like Temple...and Waco...and Lewisville...and Live Oak...
Lago Veesta, Baby!
OK for some reason my post has not shone up. I will wait until later tonight to repost. The post shows up on the thread but not the update. If anyone has a question, call me on my cell 254-624-6043. Maybe I have just not waited long enough. Gordo, I will see you at Zilker Mon. Psycho Mike

good job, Turdo.
57 Players enjoyed a beeeeyouteeful day at one of the coolest courses in Central Texas.
The HCF Travelling Ace Pot went down when Dale "Nine Lives" Hemmeline drained #6. Taking home the biggest pot we've had since we started ($188.50) wasn't enough for him either. He also had to go out and win a 1-hole playoff with Ric Johnson (both at -4, I think, after the round) to win Advanced.
Vinnie, according to one of his cardmates, should've smashed our course record (which he tied last month). Alas, our record of -10 and our $50 bounty are still safe and sound. Sorry V-man. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Sorry Mark but I'm one of those discgolfers who did NOT want to make it a whole day out there, I do have a family life too! Sorry Mark but that might be the second to the last time that I'll be going out there/msgboard/images/clipart/sad.gif Great course, fun time, great friends, good food(Thanks to all who brought the food) and the weather was good.

During the HOT summer we should start earlier and charge those showing up 30 minutes past sign up cut off pay a late fee. Or don't let them play at all. Why should the people who show up on time suffer due to the lazy late azzes? JP

got to stick to your guns
I would guess its because that they drove at least 45 minutes to get there. It was just a mini, and not a sanctioned tourney. Lighten up. If I have never heard of someone running or helping running an event, you are just ******** and not offering constructinve critisism. Late fees are a good idea, but you have to let people know ahead of time whats up.
That out of the way....
Had a great time! I saw 10 deer during the round, and was told that was not as many as you might normally expect. I was so busy looking at all the deer, I forgot to look for little birdies. There were LOTS out there, but were hiding to well for me to find very many. I can't wait to go back to this beautiful course! Thanks to Mark for a great time!
Josh, no ******** here I just think that 57 people might be too much for Mark, start time is 10:00am should I bring a watch? I would expect Mark to be more ORGANIZED!! organization is the KEY!!Oh ya I did see dogs with no leash.Enough!
Start time was posted as 10:30, cut-off for sign-ups was to be at 10am.
It was a late start, I guess I just don't think it as big of a deal as you do. It was just a mini...

Jul 07 2003, 02:44 PM
Don't mean to be bithin Nix. Start time is suppose to be 10:30 and the reason it is, is because it is 45 minutes from Austin. Every post and email about the mini says 'cut off time for sign up is 10:00 am'. How can Mark start at 10:30 if people are still showing up at 10:35?. The people with the big dogs did not even play the mini and were told not to bring them back without a lease. JP
My start time has always been "As close to 10:30 as possible." I've said that to you, Jerry, and to everyone else. When folks show up late its a hardship for me and for everyone else, but when I'm still making cards and they drove an hour or more to get there, I want them to be able to play. I've never started a sanctioned event even ONE SECOND late! The mini is a different story. Constructive criticism is good for me and healthy for my business. Threatening not to show up to anymore minis is not constructive. Too bad, we'll miss 'ya.
As for the payout, it took even less time to get together than normal, I thought. The reason it was later in the day is because we started late (which I will try hard to cut back on) and because it took a long time to get some cards and groups in. I found out just before they came in that the last Int. group, (which had become a fivesome because of some of the late comers) had let a casual player play along with them. This is not allowed and had I not been in a rush to get you all out of the sun I'd have made a point to track those people down and say something to them about it.
I will not charge anyone a late fee. Not for a casual and fun one round mini. I know this thing has become wildly successful and the turnouts have become almost sanctioned-like, but I'm not gonna change the fun aspects of my minis and start being a hard [*****], just because I've been successful.
I appreciate all the support that's been given to me, Hill Country Flyers, the North Shore Disc Golf Club and the Lago course. You guys make it all worth while. See you for another fun in the sun, deer and birdie watching mini on August 3rd. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

Martyr keep up the great work, screw everybody else. Let them run it next time and see how they feel. I've had a great time at all your mini's and usually shoot pretty well.Since you have alot of return players maybe you could leave those names set up in excel and only add/delete new players/no shows out of it. Do you still think you will switch the lago/waco minis around for T-10. I hope so.
Oh NO! A gathering of Dragon Wives? That sounds like trouble. Maybe I can get Chelle to come and really get things fired up. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
No hard feelings, Chile. However, you have my email and should have all my phone numbers. If you have some concerns in the future, just gimme a call. Your input is always welcome.
Ed and all, stay tuned for an announcement regarding a schedule change for HCF monthlies later today. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
(And no, I don't want to let someone else run it, unless I'm unavailable or incapacitated, 'cause I ALWAYS have fun doing it. It's the only way I know to hang out with my DG buds at one of my favorite places to play the game and be bogey free. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif )

I was birbie free. F'n game. I feel as old as Randy, Oh I am as old as Randy. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif JP
I birdied #14 in the late afternoon round of $5/head singles. My drive was pin high, about 30' right. Best drive I've ever had on that or any other hole, and then sunk the putt for my only birdie on that hole ever. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
I was very happy.
So do you. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif
That $5 game was a time of many firsts.
1. I won a $5 game /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif.
2. I birdied 4.
3. Mark Birdied 14.
4. I threw the craziest piece of plastic ever.
5. I got sunburned on a day that I wasn't going to play because it was raining at my house. Dry as a bone out at the course though. Not really a first, but who's counting.
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that Kyle absolutely killed a drive on #4 to set up a sweet birdie putt on one of the least birdied holes on the whole course?
Should've mentioned that before my birdie on #14. I'm such a self-centered basturd. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Here's some scoop for y'all:
Hill Country Flyers Monthly Minis will be trading places for one month. In August, we'll flip flop the Waco and Lago minis to coincide with the ZiegenBock Texas 10 Charity Tour events in those places.
There are a couple of reasons for this, with the foremost being that out of town players who would like to get to play an HCF mini as well as a ZT10 will now be able to do so. And, not completely unselfishly, I won't have to do as much driving. I'm present for every ZT10, whether as a player or as staff, so this makes a lot of sense for me personally as well.
The 1st of 2 Waco ZT10's this year is Aug. 2nd. Rather than everyone driving home that night to play at Lago on Sunday, you'll be able to stay over and get in another round on one of the courses that has become an instant classic in our sport, Cameron East. All standard HCF Mini details, such as start time, entry fees and ace pot are as usual.
The ZT10 stop that I'm most looking forward to this year is Aug 23rd in Lago Vista, BABY! /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif With the Casa Lago Resort now open and many players wanting to make a weekend of it, we'll be staying over for a special 4th Sunday HCF Lago Mini.
Please spread the word of this change as well as you can. I look forward to a fun month for ZT10, HCF and Tejas golfers in August. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

played Temple yesterday (54 from open pads)and the course is in AWESOME shape. if you like LONG holes this is the course for you. Only thing some will not like is going to be the short tee pads but that will be from the people that need a Freekin landing strip to tee off. Personnaly I LOVE IT! Wife enjoyed the course as well. Bring bug spray.
BillyB will we be able to park on the left side of the parking lot on Sunday? Not sure if the parking lot will hold this B-Day party!!
I'm going to be in Round Rock next week. How far is the Lago Vista resourt course from Round Rock (driving time)? Is this a public course? I most likely would be playing the course in the early afternoon. Is it busy at that time? Thanks for an info.
Seewhere glad you enjoyed the course. The great thing about having a 50 acre park dedicated entirely to disc golf is we have plenty of room. We will provide a place for extra parking.
We have practice baskets for putting and driving.
I will leave more info on the Temple thread. Now get off the board and on the course.

Can someone see if the resort will cut us a deal on the ZT10/Mini weekend ?
19 people showed at Lago Vista for the mini today and random doubles was the game. Thanks to the large contingent from Wells Branch. Justin/Andy tied with Ric/Shannon @ -10 to split 1st and 2nd. Vernon/Eric take 3rd with -8. Smitti/Kyle take 4th with -7. There were no aces so a CTP was thrown that would pay $80 & $25. Rick E. who played double Cali (and helped me run the mini), stepped up, threw twice, and took both payouts. Nice shooting Rick. See everyone again on the 1st sunday next month.
And on the 4th Sunday this month, Ric. Don't forget, the reason we flipped the August minis was to offer people the chance to play two days of golf at two different ZT10 locales. Didn't seem to work for Waco, but nothing has so far.
We're expecting a big turnout after the ZT10 Lago event when we have the HCF mini on the following day.
No worries, we'll be back to our regular 1st Sunday HCF Lago Monthly schedule in October (Sept. is the only month we'll miss this year due to the Coastal Clash). Maybe Ric can run dubs that day too. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif
Say Mark,
I heard that Arrowhead will not be played during TX10????
What's up???
I wouldn't worry RM, Chris is gonna have a great day planned for us. As for the courses and layouts we'll be playing, we'll all have to wait on him to announce something enlightening. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
As for Arrowhead, word on the street has it that the local property owners association isn't populated by too many fans of our game. On that note, if you want to play that course, I'd advise you to get after it pretty soon.
Mark,
I'm not worried, just courious.
I heard it from a North Shore member.
I'm sure Chris would hook us up nice.
Thanks
do you have a current player's list Mark

I will post the names later if I can't find contact information on the owners. The older beat up discs will be donated to Casa Lago Resort for their guests. JP

I talked to the lady on Sat when I was out there and she said if you book 8 rooms you will get a 5% discount. She also stated if you that if you want a room you better get one ASAP. she is acting like they will fill way before the event. We looked in 1 room and it was okay really nice view but the bathroom smelled like Urine. POOL looked very inviting. rates were $69.00 a night.

More news on Lago soon but for now this is a quote from the manager of the resort Elaine. If any one was quoted more please make sure you say you are playing and want the $65 rate.
"We will be happy to offer a discounted rate to tournament participants of $65.00, plus tax, per night. We have received some bookings for August 22-23. Our number of rooms are limited, as are parking facilities."
More news soon on the ZT10 thread. Any questions etc on the Lago ZT10 event please ask me. Do not believe rumors from anyone else. I am the TD and decision maker.
I look forward to a fun day at the lake/msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

From Chris Himming the TX10 TD: The Lago Vista Texas 10 will be a 27 hole event at the Resort. Everybody will play 3 rounds of 9 and play every hole once. We have done this before in Stephenville and its works well but limiting the field size is the sacrifice. Here is the format.

Jon, itds the pronunciation, some people use....
Some say Him-ming, whiel I say HI-ming.....
Ive heard iot both ways, so many times, i dont recall exactly how Chris pronounces it.
Then again, with that accent, we may not understand it anyway...

So which is it Chris, HI-ming or Him-ming? We all want to know.
I think its him-ming, but Ill always call him Kangaroo Boy!

Help is needed for mowing and weedeating the Lago Vista Resort Course. Since our last clean up in late May we have actually gotten a lot of rain. The course is pretty grown up. It is still easily playable but it would be nice to have it groomed some wedeating and mowing needs to be done by the Texas 10 on Aug. 23rd.
Instead of planning a work day volenteers can help when ever they can. I'll put some hours in mowing as much as I can. Being an early riser and a local I am going this Saturday morning around 8:30 for a couple of hours. JP
The course was in great shape for the ZT10 and will be in great shape in the morning for the HCF Monthly Mini (on an unusual day).
Same format as always. Traveling ace pot is down to $10, but the $50 course record bounty will be in effect.
10 a.m. tee off (don't be late, I'm in a foul mood), with all divisions.
$5 Ams and $8 Pros with a $2 Ace Pot.
I'M NOT PLAYING!
Mark, can't make it WIFE has plans for me /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif I think it's because for the next 9 weeks nothing but discgolf/msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif/msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif
You weren't playing Saturday either /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif. Thanks for the towel clip. I owe you bro.
Back from Lago and getting comfy for the evening. I'm tired and looking to relax a bit, but I'll get scores up later.
For now, here's the poop:
Nolan ties the course record ($50 bounty still safe) at -10 to win Open. The MPO field was 20 strong.
Six ladies played FW1, with Katie Crumpton shooting her course best 4 to take the top spot.
It was a good day for the Crumpton's as "the other Jerry" wins MPM. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Jason Carter (memory is a bad guide but I think this is right) shot a smoking -7 to take MA1.
A playoff in MA2 lasted only one hole as Tony Hankey beat Doug Garner to take it.
MA3 was won by Lago local Joey Whitehead AND he hit the CTP for half of the Ace Pot to walk away with $70.
64 Players was the second highest turnout for the Lago Monthly to date. Jim and Elaine from the Casa Lago Resort were impressed with our numbers all weekend as well as our behaviour. Between the MA2 playoff and the wasp inspired evacuation of HQ, score sorting and payout took a few minutes longer than it could have, but much fun in the sun was still the order of the day. In fact, when I left, many folks were down at the lake doing the sun and ski thing.
Oops, forgot to mention that Dale "Nine Lives" Hemmeline shot a very hot -7 to take MM1. Nice shooting....bagger. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif

Greetings, I'm looking forward to this Sunday and getting back to Lago Vista for our HCF 1st Sunday Lago Vista Monthly Mini.
There will be a 9:30 players meeting and we'll tee off soon after that. This is a few minutes sooner than normal but will now be the permanent time for this event. Many players have asked me to start a little earlier all year. I feel this is a fair request and I'll do my best to accomodate it. Besides, the sooner we finish, the sooner I can get home to watch the Cowboys game. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
Y'all know the drill:
$5 Ams
$8 Pros
$2 Ace Pot
CTP for half if no aces (currently sitting at $51)
64 Players last time was our 3rd highest turnout of the year, so let's keep that going. If you're unable to play in Oktoberfest this weekend and you're not driving to Okieland, please consider coming out to visit one of the most popular minis in Texas at one of the most fun courses around.
See 'ya there. /msgboard/images/clipart/proud.gif

Hey, since the big tourneys are all over now, what is the schedule for all these weekend minis. I know the regular ones: Pease on saturday, RR and Circle C on sunday.
What are the monthly ones? There's Lago of course and the much-publicized Circle R minis :o. Is there a Temple one? Which ones am I missing?
When is the South Austin thingy for all you bag tag holders?

Dec 02 2003, 11:40 AM
Temple is Sunday the 14th. the bag tag thingy is like the weekend after Christmas.
yes, the december monthly will be held as regularly scheduled on 12-7, 1st sunday as usual.
maybe we'll top the turnout of our little 2-day sanctioned mini at the rock last weekend.
look forward to seeing all you guys and gals sunday.
please remember we've permanently changed the start time for this monthly from 10:30 to 9:30. please be there to sign up by 9 a.m. so that we can at least attempt to start on time. this is a change that has been suggested by many of the regular players who have supported us for a year now (we started last november) and i think its a good one. we've been letting it run a little late the last 2 months due to a lot of people not being informed on the change, but we're gonna try and crack down on that this sunday.
$5 all am div.
$8 all pro div.
$2 rolling ace pot
all your plastic needs taken care of
see 'ya there. :)

Dec 04 2003, 12:55 PM
On the Rivery thread not long ago, Edman posted about what I assume is a singles mini at 3:00 pm Sunday at Rivery. However, I'm often wrong about these things.

Found this on the Rivery thread. Not sure if this is atill accurate but it was postedo n 12/02/03
Everybody lurking out there needs to attend the Lago mini sunday morning and then get your butts to the Rivery for an afternoon round. We will go at 3 not 2:30 so everybody gets plenty of time to eat and get there. Will decide this week on a permanent time. It will be on Sundays, and on the 3rd Sunday of the month we will be doing the WilCo Sunday. Morning round of dubs at the ROCK and afternoon singles at the RIVERY. Still shaking loose minor details, but you won't want to miss this. Working on lunch sponser and charity work. Please stayed tuned for more details very soon. Edman

NSDG LV Bag Tag Challange!? Maybe in the Spring. We are asking everyone to keep their ears and eyes open for an affordable good riding mower. If we can find a decent one it would be purchased and a Bag Tag Challange created to fund it. Help me find a mower and play on a better groomed course. :cool:JP
