The D&O Committee is composed of volunteers that are current PDGA members. The D&O Committee meets monthly, discusses projects, and makes recommendations to the PDGA for viable grants to be funded. The D&O Committee meets the third Monday of every month for an hour, currently at 6:00pm EST. The PDGA’s Diversity and Outreach committee’s goals align with the PDGA’s mission of promoting disc golf as a global sport and recreational activity. D&O Committee Goals: Advocate for growth in PDGA membership in underserved communities. Increase and support the active participation of underserved communities in the sport of disc golf via PDGA D&O grants. (These D&O grants are meant as “seed” grants geared to making a “wave” and not a one time “splash”). Advocate for measurable, sustainable, and positive change in the status of demographics within PDGA. Liaise with other PDGA committees to ensure that the tournament rules support the growth of underserved divisions in competition. Liaise with other organizations and groups to collaborate to increase the participation of underserved players in the sport and within the PDGA. Upon completion of this application interested candidates will be invited to an interview at the monthly meeting.
