2017 PDGA Major and National Tour Schedule Released; A-Tier Requests Now Being Accepted

2017 A-Tier Request Deadline Friday, Oct. 7th 2016

Monday, September 19, 2016 - 08:59

The 2017 PDGA Majors and National Tour Schedule has been posted below.  In 2017 there will be ten PDGA Majors in the North America, Australia and Europe and six National Tour Events in the United States.

We are now taking requests for 2017 A-Tiers via the A-Tier Request Form onlineThe deadline to submit an A-Tier request is Friday, October 7th, 2016 and our goal is to have the A-Tier schedule set and released by November 1st, 2016.

Please note that you MUST provide at least 3 possible dates within your request in order to allow us a chance to create a schedule that works for everyone without conflicts.  We no longer have the luxury of a single date choice or a “historical” date.  Due to the growth of the tour (3000+ events in 2016), we all need to be flexible for the benefit of other TDs and the players.  Note: If you do not provide at least three possible dates, you will very likely NOT be scheduled as an A-Tier and will have to run as a B-Tier in 2017.

Please also note that considering the number of events on the schedule, we will need to start limiting the number of A-Tiers to a sensible number to prevent them from clogging the schedule.  We will likely be looking for no more than a hundred (100) A-Tiers in the US.  So not all events requesting A-Tier status will receive it, and only select high-profile successful multi-year B-Tiers will be considered for upgrading to A-Tier status.

Please be sure to submit your A-Tier Request Form by Friday, October 7, 2016.

It's kind of a bummer that so few of these are on the west coast. Also sad to see that The Memorial is not on this list.

My thoughts exactly, other then the usual events (BSF, Masters Cup and Gentlemen's Club), nothing is within 1500 miles of the west coast.

U guys got the Steady Ed Cup...but where is The Vibram Open @ Maple Hill? That's an hour from me and I go every year completely blown away atm :/
