Taking place on the eve of the USDGC, the 2010 Presidents Cup will feature team match and stroke play as well as some early excitement to the primed and primped Winthrop University Gold Course. “It’s the best North Americans vs. the best Europeans,” said PDGA Executive Director Brian Graham, who’s just as excited as anyone for the Oct 5th event.

On September 15th Disc Golf President's Cup team captains David Greenwell (USA) and Hans "Hasse" Tegeback (Europe) announced their highly anticipated captains choices for the upcoming President's Cup matches in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Both captains were challenged with choosing from a very talented pool of prospective team members to round out their rosters. In the end, David Greenwell chose 2010 world champion Eric McCabe while Hans Tegeback chose 2010 Finnish champion Jesse Heinonen of Finland.

Since its inception in 2006, the European Open - a PDGA Major event - has become a highlight of the tour season for the leading Europeans and the world's top players.
