The day has finally come; the day when women take over the world! Well… the disc golf world, that is. Today is the date of the much-anticipated Women’s Global Event. With 41 events in 24 states and 4 countries and over 600 registered players, we are making history as the largest women’s Disc Golf event history.

The first ever Women’s Global Event is finally here! Over 600, that's right, SIX HUNDRED women will be competing in the 41 WGEs around the world. Four countries and 24 different states are hosting Women’s Global Events.

IDGC AM Championships

The 2012 IDGC Amateur Championships will take place on June 2-3, just outside of Augusta, GA in Columbia County’s Wildwood Park at the International Disc Golf Center. As a PDGA B-Tier, this event will focus on some of the best amateur disc golfers in the Southeast as they battle on the grueling IDGC courses.

First PDGA Tour Event in Korea

The 1st Daegu Open Disc Golf Tournament was held at Daegu Environment Resource Park on March 25, 2012, hosted by the Daegu Disc Golf Association, a branch of the Korea PDGA. KPDGA-Daegu was formed by Mr. Byoung Woo Baek, the Secretary General of the Union of Daegu Government Officials.

The PDGA is requesting candidates for the annual Bob West Memorial Award for Sportsmanship, where a sportsman or sportswoman is defined as someone who exemplifies sportsmanship both on and off the disc golf course, observes the rules of play, and wins or loses with grace."
