... here's a condensed view of Slim's notes before the last Mini last year at Chandler ... I didn't spy any Ace-Hit on his results later ...
.
... so ,
.
.
... leads me to believe that CHANDLER ACE POT will begin this 2011 season (tonight) with at-least-50(plus)-bucks and whatever entries there are this fine Thursday evening , ay ? ...

right you are! i had completely forgotten about the fact that i had that stuffed in my 2010 stuff. Upon looking in that folder, i found an envelope with $76 in it. this will be given to furdoogo upon my arrival on the mountain tomorrow.

TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!

Duff just called and wanted me to post that he will be out there to run the mini but with storms and possible hail in the forecast around that time the mini at Chandler might be cancelled.

Everyone should check the weather before heading out there because if it looks like it's coming through our area there will be no mini.

His phone number is on the TDSA site under "contacts" so if you're in doubt, give him a call.

What, we never cancel Riverside...

Duff needs to throw on some Kevlar rain gear and get out there..

Apr 14 2011, 12:45 PM
Yeah, no kidding. I thought I was installing a weeknight mini TD that could handle the tough stuff but evidentally he doesn't understand how we "pitch n' putts" roll.

Is this the type of decision we should possibly expect at the Centennial Cup if the weather goes bad???;)

I told him I could call the park and get them to close the retractable dome over the course but I think he is just trying to shuck responsibilty and blame it on the weather.

IMO a little rain, hail, and tornadic winds shouldn't bother anybody. They just need to wear body armor and play faster.:)

I agree, Mini should go on, even if just for those hard core that like the challenge of it. I remember a mini at McClure that John Green ran. 3 of us played in brutal rain and lightning, by the time we got to hole 11 the water was over rocks and surrounding hole 1's basklet. Did we quit? He!! NO!

I was there! So were a handful of other golfers(if that's what you want to call them considering the situation)! Barton, Austin, Jo Jo, Bobby, Bobby and a few others including Mother Nature made it an eventful evening on Furdogs Mountain! Let's do it again next week!!! Maybe next week all you gentlemen talking crap might try and find your way out to the course...Because sideways rain...hail the size of nickels..50+mph wind...lighning...or tornado sirens won't keep the TDSA from having a sheduled mini, or what we did!!
P.S. That was stupid! Thank god the picnic tables under shelter 3 are bolted down, there was definetly a time I considered crawling under one! Next Thursday 6: tee be on time please!

thanks kyle! i propbably have just as much fun running them as you do playing them. so did you make enough to take your wife out for a nice steak dinner? :)

SLIM SPECIAL @ BEAR'S LAIR
RESULTS FROM 4-17-2011

Only a couple of people won 2 CTP's - nobody won 3 this time. We had 39 players, all of which participated, which would've made each hole worth $19.50... but I hate quarters, so i went ahead and sweetened the pot to make it an even $20 per hole. Ace pot was $39, but i hate un-rounded numbers, so i sweetened that to $60, which was won in a throw-off by Jeff Green.

Thanks to Joel Woody for donating a Jagermeister shirt to the ace throw-off!

The score listed in today's Tulsa World are from Wednesday at Hunter.

Speaking of posting scores.
There has been some concern about the speed of the PDGA website. I usually get on here for scores as well as scheduling and info related to Tulsa, and that's about it. There are times when it utterly frustrates me with its speed.

It would be great if the TDs could also post scores on the Tulsa Disc Golf page on Facebook, as Matt Treat has been doing for a few weeks. And any other info about Tulsa DG.
This would help inform golfers that are not PDGA members or are still stuck having problems logging on, as I did for nearly 3 years.
Facebook is free, easy to use, everyone is invited and there is no one monitoring your behavior. I would think that eventually this message board/website would get better/faster or go away.

TDSA needs a facebook page! It's 2011 and we are one of the best clubs in the world!

100% agreement. Utilizing a "Page" instead of a "Group" on FB would be highly more advantageous though. The current "unofficial TDSA" FB page is limited in its abilities. If a Page was setup there are far more perks; automatic calendar/event reminders, message all members instantly, heck you can even email the Pages website (like a group) and the scores are automatically posted on the site! A Group setting will work, but the Page application is far better.

Ok for those of you not going to MMFMM……

TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!

It’s the second free concert of the Chandler Summer Concert Series!!!:)

Tonight’s opening act is:

“Absolutely Necessary”

followed by

“The David Dover Band”.

Food, beverage, and cool misters are available on sight.

I would have hoped that my TD trainee Duff would have been able to promote the TDSA and attend this but he’s off promoting some other event.:(

Then the PDGA SC bailed as well.:(

Those of you looking for either one of these jobs should bring your resume and apply within. Maybe we'll start seeing some mini results posted here again.

That's ok, the OO isn't going throught Chander this year anyway so look for the World's Greatest, Best of the Best, and most original Lil’ Moose and Furdog at the new FDSR (Furdog’s Disc Sports Resort) where, while supplies last, any DG’er that comes up to the table with his or her bag and says “Furdog Rulz” will get a free light and glow goodie for your night golf enjoyment.

That's right TDSA. You guys are out and the animals have assumed control.

Music from 7pm-10pm. Park closes at 11pm.

It’s all about “the colors” people!!!:)

Don't forget if Duff stiffs everybody by not getting results in the newspaper you can always call them in yourself.

When I first became a TD the club gave me a number which at the time I thought was a top secret "only TD's know about" number. Since then I've found that the newpaper publishes the number everyday.

I've used it several times to get the names of my family, my pets, and my woman's name in the DG sports section.:)

Great job Gumby, thanks for keeping things well-organized and smoothly running a very packed mini!

Tonight's NOV winner shot four under, tying the INT winner. I was there when he signed up. The name that was written down did ring a bell with me though, especially the last name....I'd rahter not say it, but if the scores are posted I'm sure you'll cross-reference it rather quickly.

Seems as though he's [they] is[are] accustomed to shooting 46-51 at Chandler. Yeah, seems as though he is a true NOV. Gumby, this is nothing against you at all, nor how you run your minis. Again, you did a great job tonight. Thanks for keeping things on-time.

It's just me complaining again, but if someone shoots under-par at any mini, they should automatically be pushed up into INT without being paid that night. NO NOV (beginner) should be shooting under par.

Screw Fakebook!!! I don’t care what is said over there.:p

What I say here ends up there anyway!!!

From what I’ve seen lately it’s been the “Eddie Stanke Winery” with him and all his slacker buddies griping about the club and the PDGA.

What the heck has him or some of those guys ever done for the sport???

I would ask if he wanted some cheese with his wine but he probably ate it all already.

Someone needs to tell that guy that the “Man vs Food” position has been filled and he needs to get a real job and leave the griping to the professionals that have actually done something constructive for the sport!!!

Here kitty,kitty,kitty!!!

My name is Furdog and I have approved this message!!!

What I have been told, a truck pulled out in front of him, he had no where to go, locked them up, however still hit the truck. He was an awesome guy, he will be missed very much! Always, keep his memory in all your throws!

Dough, you may be the only one there tonight of the regulars. I think most are either heading to the game or staying home to watch.

I have an idea, there used to be a guy up there that ran events........Surdick, or slum dog or something like that, you should see if you could find him to cover your event. I know he was either a big wig up there or just acted like one. I know he acted like those were his courses at one time, then he just kind of dyed or faded away.

I am still the KING of my mountain!!!:p

Like director Steven Spielberg I have just moved on to the role of executive producer.

Duff is like director Michael Bay with his summertime blockbusters.

Forest is the Robert Zemeckis with Back to the Future and of course Forest Gump.

Jerry Stacy is Michael Mann.

Treat is Woody Allen

And you Mr. Wise are the Pee Wee Herman Show. :)

FYI as well to you TDSA members, hacks, casuals, and players not playing the bag tag deal on Saturday but wanting to play at Tulsa’s greatest Disc Golf complex, none other than Chandler park (aka: Furdog’s Mountain), this weekend.

Both courses will be closed all day and evening this Saturday September 24th, as the “Hound Dog Blues Festival” takes over my mountain to provide the only true soulful music left in the world today,….Da Blues!!!!

This all day and night concert is benefitting the Tulsa SPCA and will have multiple bands playing all day.

Tickets are $25 for those interested in attending.

For more information on band lineup, times, ect. check out page 21 of today’s Tulsa World Weekend entertainment section or go to www.tulsaworld.com/hounddogblues

5 GOOD reasons not to play tonight
* There is no ace pot money
* It's too hot
* It's opening night of the Tulsa State Fair, go there instead
* Who wants to play Bear when you can go play McClure instead for free?
* Furdog himself may showup and smell up the whole place with hippy-scent
