TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!

It's "Friday Nite Flights" with the Wayne'ster at "Furdog's Mountain". Sign-up's start at 7:20pm with tee off approximately 8pm.

Be there!!!:)

will you be there with your elaborate ring tone tee shots?

Jun 05 2009, 04:52 PM
I was there last night but the "ring-tones" didn't help any. BVA's kid put a hex on my game and Orville Wagner took my # 9 tag. :(

I think I play better when I can't see what I'm aiming at though so I might be there tonight. If nothing else but just to hang in the woods see if those Berryhill punks come back and try to take another basket.

OK!!!....EXTRA...EXTRA...EXTRA.....

Since Wayne doesn't post his "Nite Flights" scores very often I am here to tell you that T-Towner Sammy Nielson hit another ace last Friday night. So that's an ace on Thursday for the $100+ mini pot, and an ace on Friday for $20 ace pot donated by me which is the last time I'll ever chuck in extra cash into an ace pot when he's around.:(

Way to go Sammy!!!!

His team also won the event and for those like me who are keeping score.....

Team Furdog put the big "beat down" on Team Twoputt with a score of -11 vs -9

Nothing much else to say other than the "good guys" won and the "bad guys" went "wea, wea, wea, all the way back home". :)

That's funny because I've never seen that and it's never happened to me. Probably because I play American DG and putt horizontally compared to you that play Chinese DG and putt vertically.

It's not my problem that you have a small disc that falls out of the hole. As a college student though I imagine that won't help you to mate. :)

Maybe along with an ace pot I should offer a "fallout" pot for guys with little discs.

So drinkers are out but "Vap" heads are in? I didn't seen any electrical hookups so I guess it's bring your own 12 volt battery.

Why does the illegal addiction get preference over the legal one?

Do you have a problem with the Coberly's, Snakeskin, Bud Johnson, and 70-80% of the rest of the DG community?

I think I'd still have to give the edge to Chandler :
Drains very quickly.
Two Completely oppisite courses.
Tradition
No Water holes.
Accesibility.

I like the new Cenntinial Course alot, But Moose Run is sick and thats why I came to my decision. But then again it's just 1 man's opinion.

Chandler is nice, if you want to be able to play 34 holes in about an hour.
I'd give accessability to Chandler for sure and the fact that is has two courses but on the other hand you would have to combine the two, to have a great course. It is a good beginner course and a good course for those that have to have a lot of birdies to make them feel better about their game, like yourself and a great place do drink beer and leave cans every where. But to have a more rounded game and become a better player, you can't limit yourself to Duece or Die.

If we are comparing courses for difficulty and shots that test your golf game, then I would rate:
Blackhawk
Copperhead (Shouldn't be here but there are baskets out there)
Hunter
Centennial
Dovillio
McClure
Haikey
Moose Run

I rated Moose run last for the fact that there are only about 6-8 holes that truly test you. The original course gets no rating as it has no real challenges.

First of all Dave, please don’t list your course in with the other courses that support and bring money into the TDSA since it is your intent by your statements not to support the TDSA at your course. Despite what you might think about my TD skills there are still quality TDSA TD’s working weeknights and weekends TDSA minis to bring money into the club and support various events and DG promotions. Most of which you personally take full advantage of. Your elitist Craptenial financial plan is a slap in the face to all those TD’s, volunteers, and TDSA members who show up to help when asked.

My event last weekend raised $102 for one round of DG at the beginner course you say deserves no rating because it offers no real challenge. That’s fine with me because what it does offer is fun and the “feel good” feeling that I guess at your age only comes in the form of long hot holes on a country cow pasture.

I feel tested and challenged every day just getting up and driving down “finger flipping” 169 to get to work and these days just “feeling good” is harder to come by. I’ve been challenged by you at Chandler ever since you goated me into taking the TD job. Turning in my mini money to the TDSA is just following the rules but now that you get a course you feel you shouldn’t have to follow the rules. It’s good to see what being a rounded better player has turned you into.

You want to raise money for improvements at your course?

Sell mullies.
Convince the city to let us camp there and charge $10 a head.
Sell "Spy vs Spy" bag tags next year with yours and my face on it. (I sold the last of my 100 last week.)
Do what you think the TDSA should do and charge an extra $1 for non-members to play in your minis.
Offer night golf.
Charge an extra $2 for your "Turkey Skins".
Rent a dunk tank or charge $5 so your buddies can throw pies in your face.:)

From what I’ve seen you’ve done a good job there in Owasso but it’s sad that you now feel you have to send your kid to private school.:(

How does your new course rate higher than dovillio and mcclure?

I havent played it personally, but lets take a good golfer like Wilkes for example. Already dropped a -10 on your course, and he shoots -6 every week at dovillio...?

Again I haven't seen it, but just because it is new, doesn't mean you can throw your course ahead of dovillio mcclure and not to mention HAIKEY... wow. when haikey is in full effect you think your course is tougher/better than that course????? That course is so much fun and challenging at the same time when it is fully accessible.

So, this will be my unnofficial opinion since I haven't played it yet, but based purely off of what you said about wilkes dropping a -10 already... i say you drop it back to the bottom of the ranking.

also.. not taking anything away from wilkes' -10... it may be rediculous and unmatched for a while but still, he did shoot it on one of his first attempts and shoots a consistent -6 at dovillio.

WHAT DOES WILKES HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE RANKING OF CRAP.. I MEAN CENTENIAL TO THE OTHER TULSA COURSES??? PAGING KYLE WILKES

Wilkes -10 was with the course using a mix of shorter pins and long pins. If the course were to be in the long pins, it plays about 200ft shorter than Dovillio and a couple 100ft longer than McClure with more hazards than either course. Thats how I based my opinion. Like you said you haven't seen it or played it, so you knocking my assessment is a little premature, don't you tthink?

well i typed up a response, but its pretty redundant with what i said earlier. ill just say, yes you are correct that my opinion is premature because I haven't played it.

I do want to hear what wilkes thinks, and if I do go play it soon, I really hope it compares to the likes of mcclure and dovillio, cause you are talking about some great courses.

You have it ranked inbetween hunter and dovillio. The best scores I've seen this season of minis at either course were -8s.. .and you see more -6s at Dovillio than u do at hunter. So I think your ranking of hunter... dovillio is pretty accurate... so lets see your course in the longs and see if people can drop some -6s -8s.. or more?

Hey at least you have me curious now, i might have to make a trip to play it soon, kinda want to, just been sooo busy

Paul, it's a glorified cow pasture course. The lack of many trees caused it to be designed with a lot of holes backing up to cow ponds or the creek so there is nice risk and reward in those positions. Pin placement really decides on whether it's tougher than Dovillio or Haikey.

twoputtok
Jun 17 2009, 01:09 PM
Paul let me know when you want to come out and I'll show you around, then you can make an honest assessment in comparison to the other courses. It is in a mixed layout right now, for the casuals. When we decide to have an official event, I will move it all to the longs and then all to the shorts, so that I can get a good range of what the scores are on each placement.

In comparing Centennial to the Moose Run I am in the same boat as Paul because I haven't played it yet, but would like to. Here is a piece of information you might want to consider in whether or not Centennial is more difficult than the Moose Run; at Chandlerstock the best score on the Moose Run was -7 (that is considering the likes of Mitch and Clint McClellan and Matt Steward playing this tourney). The best score currently at Centennial is -10 by Wilkes (a "very" good player but by no means better than Clint, Mitch, or Matt), and this is without many people playing the course.
I would guess that even in the short layout Centennial is still longer than the Moose Run but people are already throwing better scores on Centennial. The Moose Run was never going to be a long course (not enough space), but it was intended to be a course you need to be accurate at but don't need a big arm. I think it fits its niche, just like original Chandler fits it's niche of being a fun begginer course, maybe better than any course in town (just look at the turn out it gets).
I'm ready to check out Centennial. Dave can you play out there this Friday at 4pm? Here's your chance to get your $10 back:)

Jun 17 2009, 05:04 PM
First of all Dave, Joel Deering is doing Chandler this month either because he didn’t want to do McClure or he decided that he could bring more money in at Chandler and if I was just doing this for personal gain then I would blow off the TD part and start selling beer in the parking lot. Seems to be a lot of profit in that and what the heck it’s the part of the sport that the public expects.

I am not speaking “for the club” as these are my own opinions but it is what I will be advocating as a TD and an Admin. You’re right about the TDSA not really ruling anything because anyone or/and everyone with internet access and a PDGA affiliate slot could probably run organized minis at a park though I’m sure some parks require a permit to legally sell stuff. Do you have a permit to sell discs at Craptenial because I don’t have one. If one is required then the TDSA has been skirting the law for years now.

What you’re doing is not different, it is self-centered and it is all about control. I understand. You’re sitting there on a cow pasture with no trash cans and no benches to plop your butt down on. You saved the park probably $2000 by getting TDSA members and non-members to come out and help but the city doesn’t want to pitch in for anything else. You talk about future maintenance so basisically you’re saying that Owasso is just as bad as the city of Tulsa because all Owasso wants to do is come up with the funds for the initial installation but doesn’t want to pay for any future maintenance other than mowing. Sounds just like Mohawk and you don’t have a problem with that do you? So it’s up to you personally to replace a basket or repair a tee pad all with the measly little one or two dollars per person you collect at an event. I would vote to donate that $102 from Chandler last weekend towards a bench.

As far as donating to charities goes I believe that was an effort to get the YMCA people to open up for more access but IMO that course should be axed from the TDSA course list altogether.

Your course doesn’t need the TDSA and really your course won’t generate that much in TDSA fees anyway so the TDSA is not losing anything. But it is my opinion that your course should stay off the schedule since any mini there is not TDSA and if one of your events does make the schedule then the TDSA should be able to double-date it with a mini of it’s own should someone want to run one, or bump yours off altogether. I’m sure that will be fine with you since your mouth goes a long way. You can take all the well rounded pros and I'll take the Ams. Like I said before I am not speaking for the board and I do not know how the rest feel about it but I will ride your butt to Tokoyo on this one.

You should thank me because you’ve been griping about the way the club is doing things for months and if it wasn’t for me calling you out here you would never have the audience you have now to air your crap. To me what you’re doing is not necessary and it is a slap in the face. I may not have been out to help on all the courses you have but I was there at your cow field and you haven’t ran near the number of mini’s and CS that I have so in my opinion you haven’t been a TD long enough to gripe about where the money goes. At least when I’m gone the “Moose Run” will still generate for the TDSA and not some worthless cow pattie park.

See if somebody asks me where their TDSA $1 goes I can tell them that some of it will go into the new cement tee pads for the Moose run. I can say that some goes to greasing the YMCA to let us in. I can say that some goes to old fart pros like you at the OO who thinks the world owes them a living.

If someone asks me where Craptenial money goes I can say it goes into your bank account and sits there collecting interest for five years until you can afford to buy a bench that the rich and famous of Owasso aren't willing to put out for. And if you die before then, the cash goes to putting your kid through TJC or horse feed for the four legged nag you keep out at the barn.

It might be great for months we dont get alot of rain, but as in the situation with blackhawk if it rains for a day you cant play for a week.
As far as needing birdies to make myself feel better; Not true, less bogeys makes me feel better. Hell I had 7 birdies at dovillio yesterday but 6 bogeys and a double bogey ate that up real fast. i dont give a craptennial about my score at chandler, period. shoot -16 at chandler whoop de doo, doesnt make you a legendary golfer. shoot -5 at chandler doesnt matter either... so basically what it amounts to is, chandler doesnt matter. you wouldnt catch me dead at a sanctioned tourney at chandler, that would be the worst.

When I was giving my course comparison I was thinking about the best scores I have had on each course. When I listed Moose Run as only having 6-8 holes that test you, I still feel that way. While there are several very short precise holes out there, I just don't care for 150ft through a 3 ft hole. Not that it doesn't help your game. Just my personal preference. For you that may be your favorite type of course. For me its courses like Dovillio, McClure, Hunter, Black, Lodge and Centennial.

I give Boomer the edge over Centennial (notice Im not calling it Craptennial Wise) Thats about as close as I would rank it to some of the local courses.

By the way, when is the last time you were at Centennial? If it was when it was 9 holes, then hold your toungue until you go back.

Boomer isn't even close. I wouldn't rate boomer in my top 15 in this state. Granted it has been around for ever and a LOT of golfers cut their teeth on it and it is still a good course but it doesn't come close to the top 5 in Tulsa.

I didn't see too much standing water after the rain. Two full days might fill it up but it looks like it would drain fairly quick. Personally I kinda of like the place despite the Craptenial I give Wise about it. More is more. I can see this good for a stand alone event or even tied in as part of a "Spring Fling" multi-course deal. Bag tag also.

Since Haikey is out of commission at this time, anyone wanting to play something similar should go to Owasso. Some of the holes right now appear to have "cut" fairways due to the fact that they wait to cut some areas of the grass until it dries out.

I think that going to the new course in Owasso is the best way to evaluate it. When I played a few months back on the 9 hole layout I would have rated it a 4. Now it is closer to an 8. I am not claiming it is a blackhawk but at the very least a McClure or Dovillio quality layout. As far as Chandler goes it is a course for putters. If that is what you need to practice on, that is where i would go. If you already are satisfied with your putt then other courses would certainly be more appealing.

well i had some car issues and broke down in owasso. luckily friends there picked me up and ended up getting to the course at about 8 to tee off. well no warm ups or nothin.. shot -4 on the front and got 3 birdies on the back, but we skipped 3 holes because it was getting dark, and on the last hole we did actually play (16 i think) i threw in the water, i blame it on the night time, but really it was just a bad shot.

i think its a pretty fun course dave. with the pin mix the way it is right now, its not terribly challenging, however i did look at where some of the longs are and I think your comparisons are not too far off at all.

BTW.. did see the DUDE out there putting at dark and he said he dropped a -12, so since he lives right next door to it, i think i'll take his word for it. it was a short lived -10.

It was pretty windy out there too when we played.

I agree with your comparisons for the most part and find it will be a GREAT addition to the current rotation of solid courses in the tulsa area. well done man!

Jun 18 2009, 09:52 AM
Bryan, we didn't just put in a back 9, we redesigned all of the holes except 3 of them, it is a totalty new layout. Call me when you're going out there, I might be able to make it.

By the way Paul, sorry about your car troubles and glad you got to play most of it. If you quit on 16, then you missed two of the fun holes, 17 and 18. With the layout in the positions they are now, -12 is a good score. If I take it all to the longs, I'm thinking about an -8. I'm glad you agree it is a positive addition to the courses we have now. I feel like it will make a good tournament course for minis or maybe just in the rotation with some others, since it is so close to the Hawks, McClure and Dovillio.

Hopefully we can have something out there with enough players to warrent moving it all long.

My guess id that at score in the thirties is out there on the current layout. The -10 (short lived record) was a first look in sustained 15-20 mph wind with gusts 25+. Ususally a first look at a course is a minimum of 4 strokes off of what is to come in the future. 44 felt like about a 990 round.

Sorry Dave, I just read your message and I did play today. I thought It was a good layout. I freaking hated the walk to the 1st T and some of the distances between tees and pins was kinda Ben Geren Esque. It was being mowed while I was there so i was gratefull to get some extra skip D with the wind the way it was. Shot a tough 1 down. Didn't have to wear waiters or lose any discs so I was happy about that. I did have 1 complaint that may actually need to be addressed. Myself and an out of towner both through at 11 ? i believe when we were on 9's T. maybee the T needs to be re-directed since it isn't permanent. It just looked like a hole in the shorts in front of me and the real hole was in the long I believe, so i hope you can see my confusion. I did find a disc of Justin Bougher's in the creeks so i'll get that to him or dan. Overall I' say it is more challenging than Moose Run but I think wind did have a little to do with that. I give it an 8.2 out of 10

Jun 19 2009, 09:55 AM
Thanks Hinds, glad you liked it, but get used to the wind out there, it blows all the time. I know what you're saying about 11 but once the real tee signs go in it will show which hole it is.
I agree about hole 1, I told you it was about a two block walk. As for the walks to the other tees, I dissagree, its no more than 100ft walk form any tee to the other. You must have played at the hottest part of the day. In the evenings its perfect out there. Nice you found Justin's disc but why were you in the creek?

Like I said before, kind of like McClure or Dovillio but more hazards and if we put the paths in as OB lines it gets even tougher.

Jun 19 2009, 11:10 AM
Yeah, judging by these results I believe you are correct.

Kyle Razmus wanted to play Pro but didn't have any money. In fact Pop's Hindshaw paid his entry into Advanced. If he's going to continue to shoot low forties like that though I might start sponsoring his Pro entry for a percentage of his take. His brother, Matt Razmus would have won Pro last Sunday if he played it. These guys should have plenty of plastic already so I don't know why they play the divisions they do.

Shea Holt should have played nov

Ideally,

Justin Ruley 47
Phillip Dolan 47
Kota Hart 49
Holden Fuson 49

Should have played a min. of intermidiate.

Final should have looked like yours or maybe this.

Seth Cook 47

Chad Woffard 62

I don't do it all the time but when I see true novice getting screwed by baggers I'll let them go ahead a grab a free disc or merch so they at least get something for their money.

I let the 2nd place junior grab a DX even though he didn't cash and I probably would have set up Chad Woffard (62) with something also but he took off as soon as he finished.

It's not something I really want to advertise or garantee before the mini because then I'll have people "tanking" on purpose just for a worst score consolation prize.

twoputtok
Jun 19 2009, 11:35 AM
Its great that you give them something so they don't feel screwed and mighty nice of you I might add but that doesn't fix the problem. I guess last night I should have been there, I'll **** sure call them out on it, on the spot right infront of the Ams they are screwing over. Sorry he didn't have the extra $5 for Pro but he knew that before he ever left for the park. Maybe they should have bought a 12 pack instead of a 30 pack suitcase, then he would have had the money.

Razmus, Snake and two guns playing down is pure BS! I have said all along, "Those disvisions are for the beginnners and newer players, not because you suck"

Maybe you should create the Td's discretionary division. Since you know who all the offenders are, just put them in their own division against each other. Let them take each other's money and stick them all on a card together at hole 6! They'll figure that out pretty quick.

sschumacher
Jun 19 2009, 11:35 AM
If you were a advanced player and a bagger in nov or intermediate would it be an incentive to you to sign up in advanced if cash vs plastic payout were based on a roll of the dice? For example, after sign-ups are complete I’ll roll the dice and a 1 or a 6 determines cash where as 2,3,4,5 determines plastic payout? I know paying cash to Am’s is “for-bod-den” but newbies are being ran off then it needs to be addressed.

I’m thinking the new course sign between the “Steady Ed Memorial” and “Moose Run” should be large enough to hold maps of both courses, schedule and tourney flyers, and enough extra space to post recent mini results of the people playing these mini’s so if they have a problem with me bumping them up I can tell them to “read the sign”.

sschumacher
Jun 19 2009, 12:05 PM
Well I can hear the argument with Snake and Two Guns. Last Sunday Snake shoots 60 and 2Guns shoots 55. Last night they shoot 47 & 48. The only difference is that on Sunday they were both on the same card. From what I heard about 2Guns driving off and leaving Snake in Arkansas I figured they should spend some “makeup” time with each other but when they were on the same card they both shot crap.

Last night, Pop’s asked me to put 2Guns on the old guy card because 2Guns was the only one that brought a beer bag to carry beer. Snake shoots 47 without 2Guns and 2Guns shoots 48 despite having Bud Johnson on his card. So it seems by keeping those two guys on the same card is detrimental to their game and therefore they will claim that they deserve to be put in intermediate.

Just come up with course scoring guidelines for Chandler, once you know they can consistently hit those scores, move em' on up

i.e.

Novice: 55+
Int.: 54-50
Adv.: 49-45
Pro: 44 and down

or whatever scores you think are appropriate, this example is what I thought for Chandler

Harder courses of course would need the scores adjusted

twoputtok
Jun 19 2009, 12:40 PM
I like that Evan. Maybe instead of forcing pro, just have the cut off for adv/Pro at around 48. If they shoot that let them sign up for with Adv or Pro. but nothing below that.

FurDog, I agree, keep thm on the same card, it appears it does effect their game, just throw Razmus in there and send them to hole 6. First time Snake arm punches Raz, he won't be able to get out and walk. Some one will have to go scrape him up form a fairway some where.:D

Lets face it there is no cure known to man nor beast (nor even woman) for Sand Bagging. My dad once received a trophy from some of his ball golfing buddies and he displayed it with pride, (well he did have an honest and established handicap)
The PDGA attempts to regulate it's members with ratings in an effort to sort these things out but the vast majority of baggers never join or stay in.
All they want to do is win and they do not care how many 10 year olds and first time players they have to step on to win.
I left the division I am rated for and went into the age protected bracket just to avoid the vast majority of baggers after all there are very few sand bagging advanced Grand Masters left in the world and our divisions can be so small that we need them just for the entry fees they pay.

I found Justins disc while walking to hole 3 or 4's tee pad. It was just so bright and puple inthe water there was no way to miss it. He must have lost it at night. It was very hot when I played, had jeans and a t on for work, if I had shorts the walks probably wouldn't have been so bad. The wind actually made it feel a little nicer. In no way is this an insult but I really think this is like a shorter version of Ben Geren, which I love. Not as much fun to play solo so I am going to try to get to the next mini. I really liked hole 8 whith the horse stalls in the background. Potential signature hole if it werent for the water shots.

Just a bit of advice for those newbies that are consistantly getting bagged upon.

Baggers are the reason I became a TD because up until then, I've never cashed and had never had my name called out and been able to walk up and pick plastic out of the box.

Now as a TD, I own the box of plastic and can pick out anything I want. :)

I agree on the bagging. Both Razmus guys are as good or better than me at Chandler and I havent played anything less than pro since last september I believe. It is sometimes tough to come up with the 12 when your in a tight spot but if thats the case do what I do, play a casual round at another course or stay home. I hated playing with baggers when I was an am coming up so I can definetly relate. Also my 901 non updated rating should let me play am if I choose, but why when the spirit of competition only makes you a better player.

I just hope its finished before next year's Chandler Stock.:p

I didn't pay his medical bills, I didn't cut him, he did it to himself, AFTER I told him to get the snips. Besides, he blamed it on Martin for sharpening his knife. By the way, his blood is still on the basket.

I always new he could, it was just a matter of pithing him off enough to get him out there. Actually it makes it easier on the TD to run Flex starts, you don't have everyone lining up at you like you have free concert tickets. Plus it is easier to accomodate players request to play with certain people. Just give them a card, send them out and check them off the list. On top of all that, you don't have everyone turning in their cards in one big pile. I don't know if FurDog likes the flex but I know I do and Treat said it helped him also. FurDog just hates any suggestion I make, even if it makes sense.

Oh and Furdog's comment to take the pros over to Moose run, good suggestion. They may want to do that. I'm surprised none of the minis have been on that course.

And I like all of the BAGGER titles associated with the names. Maybe he could call into the paper, list a Bagger division and post all of those names there.:D

Jul 17 2009, 11:20 AM
I do like flex starts, the only problem I had was people using nicknames instead of their own.

I was like, ok who is Big Bob?? Whos is Ace Bomber, stuff like that...

Flex starts are fine, but I am going place the names on the cards in the future...

sschumacher
Jul 17 2009, 11:29 AM
Flex starts are fine with me and I’ll continue to do them but I’m a little leery of having 3 or four guys that I don’t know showing up and wanting to play on the same card when the ace pot gets over $100. I imagine 99% of players wouldn’t do it but what is to keep 3 or 4 buddies on a card from making up their final scores or faking an ace and just splitting it amongst themselves? There is no guarantee that the card in front or behind is going to be a tourney card so all they have to do is bang the chains and then let out a big yell.

If I know them I don’t worry about it but I get new names every week and with next weeks pot starting at $139 I’ll probably see a lot more. Still it’s not a big enough deal to not do flex starts but I don’t want people starting at 3pm and calling in their scores.

As for Moose minis, well I’ve already thought about it but as you know and have reminded me on a daily basis, #1 and #4 were not completed until just last week. I could run pro’s and advanced on one course and everybody else on the other but the people that play the short would have the advantage on ace runs. With the ace pot over $100 would you rather play the short or the long?

Best thing would be to run short one week and long the next. Either have two separate ace pots or one big one.

And Michael is right, it is better if the TD write names on the score card because some of these people can't write worth crap.

twoputtok
Jul 17 2009, 11:43 AM
I write their names on the card, then check them off and hand out their card. You're right about the Ace pot, especially with the crowd you get out there. You just have to use your best judgement. I had that last week and to ease my mind I threw in one regular to that card. Just to make sure. You're also right about the Ace pot and two courses being played, I hadn't given that any thought at all.

As for the Flex Starts, I try not to let them out until I am there but that can be a problem for you and your schedule. Just set a time that they can begin and try to be there close to that. That way they won't have but a few holes in when you arrive. Not sure if I'd let the ams go out with out being there. I don't see it as being a problem with the usual pro group.

I just like the flex to avoid a sudden rush, then having to hurry up to get cards made and get them all out on the course. It helps with payout also. If an entire division is finsihed, I just go ahead and get them paid and out of the way.

The ace pot starts at $139 but since I normally don’t play at my minis I went out last night and played my round and got an ace on # 1 so unless someone hits it tonight to split, that money is mine.

That's right. Alaska, Lil'Moose's meek, timid, hardly ever see it, cat comes walking up with a struggling soon to be dead baby bird in it's mouth. What a bummer. It was like watching "Faces of Death".

All this happening right in front of the mother and father bird and guess who gets crapped on?

Lil'Moose got this letter from Wal-Mart the other day.

Dear Lil'Moose,

Over the past six months, Furdog has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store.. Our complaints against Mr. Furdog are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras..

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away.'

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7.. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes funnels.

13. October 9: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. October 14: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but not least ...

15. October 16: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!'

Special Moose Run Report:

Last night I heard reports that # 8 basket was gone. Sawed off at ground level.

At first I thought it had been stolen but later Mike Acosta came over and told me that the shop had it. Evidentally someone ran over it with their car. :(

That is really strange because there are no roads near that hole coming out of the woods.

There is no proof at this time but rumor is that someone with the initials of KR might be responsible.

The investigation is ongoing.

It would be wise for the person or persons responsible to go ahead and call me and admit what they did as I may be able to help you avoid criminal prosecution by the county as they are currently reviewing their park security video.

The last thing you want is to have the cops show up at your mothers house and drag you out of bed at 1am.

Aug 17 2009, 11:33 AM
Just to clear things up.

Kyle Razmus is not and was not ever a suspect in this crime nor did I ever acknowledge that he was. There are a lot of people out there with the initials of KR so whom ever is calling Kyle and telling him that I’m accusing him of stealing needs to call him and let him know that the parks department and I do not consider him to be a suspect.

He left a message on my machine last Friday and I would have called him back if he had left his phone number.

The park crew is repairing the basket as I write this so Moose Run will be back up shortly.

I would like to say to the person or persons that did this that the only thing you are doing is just bringing more attention to DG from the sheriff. In this case, the basket won and you lost. The fact that you are wasting your time, energy, and risking arrest over a cheap $160 basket proves that you must have a born to lose tattoo across your forehead. It’s also the reason you don’t see the nice expensive baskets like the ones at Centennial and other courses around town.

If you want a cheap basket that bad then just come to me and let me know and I will buy one for you and shove it up your butt. That way when you do eventually end up in jail some day, you won’t be such a virgin.

twoputtok

Yes you can.

sschumacher
Aug 17 2009, 12:13 PM
Well I can't believe you're not giving me crap for telling the thieves that the expensive baskets are in Owasso. You've got joggers stealing flags with no police response so one of those nice new baskets wouldn't be a big challenge except you need two people to drag one out.

twoputtok
Aug 17 2009, 12:21 PM
The best equipment is in Owasso. If they want to try and steal one, I can't stop them but our local law enforcement would get a woody over it and come out in full SWAT mode. Around here they like the saying, release the dogs!

sschumacher
Aug 17 2009, 12:47 PM
Well actually it wouldn't be that hard at Owasso. The basket by the playground would be the easiest. You could even do it in broad daylight. People are already used to you driving around out there so all one has to do is rent a black Avalanche and all the sudden they are Avalanche Kenny.

If anyone says anything at the playground the thief could just tell them that they are Dave Wise with the TDSA and they are taking the basket to get it repaired. Of course they would have to find a way to cut the lock because pulling it out with the cement ball would be pretty obvious. :)

Scott, we have talked about this before. Never mention your a Rod Stewart fan in public or on this board.

It has taken a long time and a lot of hard work to restore your reputation to even where it is today. We don't need any big set backs like a Rod Stewart scandal..

hey Razmus, did you hear that? You're a COCKroach!

Face it. Players couldn't get through 3 or 4 holes of night golf at Centennial without having to drop the roach and run when the cops show up.

It doesn't help any with you using your Avalanche as your personal golf cart to drive around breaking up fights either. You'd probably end up running over a few players in the dark and then where would you be? Are you going to tie them across your hood, take them home and mount their heads over your fire place? :)

Lisa Smith 45 ?
Not familiar with who this is.
Is she new to Tulsa?
Based on this seems like a pretty good player.
Anyone ?
D.P.

Lisa has been playing for a long time. I just haven't seen her out lately. Then again, I never play at Chandler, and I think that's the only course I've seen her play at.

Again, excellent shooting Shana! And with those two 20 footers you missed, you would've been tied with your man! :)

... yes indeed ... Lisa is Charles Smith's wife (aka Chuck) ... she use to play regularly , but the RealWorld had her busy elsewhere for a long time (same with Chuck) ... and , within about a year or so , she had Back Surgery ... it's good to see her out again , Enjoying ...

Tonight!!!...Tonight!!!...Tonight!!!

In the words of Jim Morrison and the Doors......"This is the end.....The end my friend."

Tonight is the last Chandler week night mini for the 2009 season.

That's right. No more. Zip. Notta.

I'm leaving on a jet plane. Don't know if I'll be back again.

I’ve paid my dues. Time after time.
You all have given me fame and fortune and I thank you all.

But it’s been no bed of roses…...No pleasure cruise.
I consider it an honor before all human race and I ain’t gonna lose!!!

We are the champions my friends. And we’ll keep on fighting till the end.
We are the champions….. We are the champions!!!!
No time for losers cause we are the champions…..
Of the world!!!!!!

Thanks to Chris Hatton ace pot starts at a big fat zero.

Rain or shine now is the time.

The schedule shows 5:45 but thanks to Treat listing 6pm in the paper I'll take sign-ups up until then.

Come on out and check out Furdog Mountain's new landing strip.

Wise, you'll never be a champion. You've got the "pion" part down though. You just don't have the "cham" part. :)

your supposed "last mini" sucked...I didn't get to play and it rained like hell! I say we have "The Last Mini" out there next week...same time same place. Lets make it a preamble to the ctp shootout that your going to have out there next week.
