TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!!

Say goodbye to the last day of winter as week night Disc Golf returns to Furdogs Mountain, the only place where true legends are born.

Ace pot starts at $67 with an extra %10 for any CS25 bag tag holder that hits. You MUST have your tag with you and bag tag rules do apply so if youre not willing to put it on the line then no soup for you. That includes any other bag tag perks also. You MUST register your number at registration and carry it on your bag. Reserving a tag to pay for it later will not count nor can I garrantee one will be available. There are only 43 left so bring an extra $10 and you can put your name in with the other super sponsors listed below. Please note that Codas and Shannas name is not on that list so for now you do not have to worry about those big bullys taking away your precious. Same goes for Twoputt whom Im sure will stay away so as not to risk losing his Stinky Pinky # 100. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You must have Butt in Line by 5:50 or earlier or you will not be included in the Moose Games.

Other goodies may be up for grabs depending on how drunk I get. :)

I have to tend to agree with Muffy. I talked to you on the phone at 4:50, I was just leaving Owasso to take my son to practice at 51st and the BA. You said you were heading that way. I dropped him off and got to Chandler 20 minutes ahead of you.

Have you ever considered taking your stuff with you to work, NOT stopping by Maries for a break and just going to the course from work? We might actually get to tee by 6 and not have to run two signup windows. However that did work well. :p

Mar 20 2009, 01:16 PM
First of all, IMO neither one of you NOBS have room to talk about how I run my minis and to tell you the truth I dont look at either one of you as worthy of my time in the first place.

Dave, of the few events you do run, mainly the Turkey Skins, your events never happen on a weeknight nor do your events ever involve having to deal with plastic payout. All you do is take money and your events have never started on time either. You are more than welcome to take signups and money for the Pro division which you always play which doesnt benefit or justify my time at all. Of the 34 players last night 18 were pro and you could have signed them up and ran a separate mini without having to wait for me and you could have saved them all the $1 TDSA club fee. But that would have required you to stay and pay them instead of like last night being the first one out of the park with your little 52 score. You feel you always need to be paid first as if there was something so great about you that you feel youre entitled above everyone else. The only reason you showed up last night was to buy another tag so you wouldnt have to put your Stinky Pinky # 100 on the line. I appreciate your help with the second window and you and Duff are welcome to run it next Thursday if you think you can do better. BTW I noticed that your name is listed next to the course in Owasso. Does that mean you're going to be running a weeknight mini there in the future? :o

When I have gotten there early its still the same thing with people milling around putting and waiting till the last minute to sign up anyway.

Wayne asked me what time to put on the schedule and I said 5:50 because it still gets dark fairly early but I did not add be on time. I was there at 5:50 so screw you both.

Duff I have yet to see you run anything but your mouth and the $1 casino at hole # 1.

Heres a concept for you..If you don't like it, go somewhere else. :p

Can you even friggin read? Where on the schedule does it say start time 5:50? And why do you and Duff think that your time is more valueable than mine? Im sure there are other people that probably feel the same way you two do but at least they respect me enough not to come on here the day after one of my minis, boast how much fun they had and then trash the way I run it. Duff didnt say anything about it when he took the free mini I was handing out after the round.

Heres another thing that you cant understand. I never offered free mulligans for last nights mini. Ten % on top of the ace pot for BT holders only. And why do you feel youre doing me a service by buying another bag tag when Im not really having a problem selling them? Now youve got two times the advantage over everyone else which is what you always look for anyway. One day youre griping about pitch & putts and the next day youre coming out to try and clean up on one.

I admit Im not the best TD in town so I guess youre right. I need to quit.

In fact, I never should have scheduled March minis in the first place if I cant get there to suit your expectations so unless Opie, Mike, Jerry, or God forbid YOU OR FLUFF want to do it next week then Ill just send an email to Wayne and tell him that I need to cancel next week altogether.

Its not worth having to deal with Fluff and Baby Huey. :p

We offer to help because we would like to be done with our round before we need glow lights. All we are asking is to start semi close to the posted time and you get all huffy about it?

I dont look at the time noted on the schedule as tee time because I never know how many people are going to show up. I look at it as thats what time Ill be there for sure and Ill try and get everyone out as quick as possible after that. I realize that may not be how you and others expect it to be but if I were to say sign ups at 5:50, tee at 6:30 then I would still have stragglers showing up at 6:25 or calling me to tell me theyre 5 minutes away and please hold until they get there.

Obviously that confuses a lot of people.

I try to make up for it by not playing when I get a big crowd so I can have the cash and plastic payouts ready when everyone comes in. Thats really my big drag on the whole thing because when Im by myself I never really know if someone is ripping me off when Im not looking. If I had my way I would pay all Ams with cash minus 10 or 20% just so I can get out of there.

Actually I shouldnt have scheduled them if that is what people are going to expect from me. Last week was a good example and since I dont have any real stock I sent an email and left it up for grabs for Wayne, Mike, Andrew, or Jerry. Wayne was nice enough to step in and run this Thursday for me. IMO he is probably the best guy to take over that course since hes currently without one due to the seemly indifference of the Haikey park personnel to get that course up again.

And BTW, Im proud to announce that Wayne is the official Co-TD at CS25 this year. He, along with others, has always been around in the background for the last two years to help Marie and I so I figured this year he might as well get some credit along with some more responsibility should I happen to pass out at some point during the tournament. I know that when Connors ran it I really didnt have to do anything so Marie and I are working to see that Wayne only has to handle a few tech questions should they arise along with an occasional long speech or two when were trying to get cards and final scores together. He also always good for the ROF and this year I might put him in charge of the gate key after 2am when Im no where to be found. I normally dont drink that much when TDin at CS but this year when my nose starts to glow then that means Wayne is in charge.

Wise, there was a time when you first told me to take the Chandler position that I thought that maybe you would want to be a Co-TD at Chandlerstock. That was before I saw you sit in the passenger seat to write names at one of my minis and I found out you cant write or spell worth crap under pressure. You and Opie are still good at checking camp fees and instilling fear in some of the OKC guys with your dragnet park security service.

I dont know right now if I will run CS next year and if I dont I would hope who ever takes over there will maintain some of the traditions and value that Marie and I tried to add ourselves along with the ones we carried over from John Green. Right now it looks like the Tye Dye shirts might be out this year as the Tye Dye ladys phone is no longer in service. I just talked to her two weeks ago and she didnt say anything about going out of business so I dont know whats going on.

Oh and BTW Pigpen, I'm not Charlie Brown, I'm his dog.

This is strictly an idea: If you don't want to run Chandlerstock next year, I beleive Woody might be looking for a permanent venue for the Crow Throw. Why not just slide it in where chandlerstock ends. Just an idea.

sschumacher
Mar 23 2009, 02:37 PM
WHAT????.....Let Woody worm his way in on my mountain???....Over my dead carcas.;)..... CS should continue whether I do it or someone else does it.

It's the only park in town we're allowed to camp and even that is not a given. I don't see why you can't do both but you need to remember that those camping fee's go to our Park Friends account which in turn covers some of the maintenance of the course itself. In the case of this year, 1/3 of the new baskets. I would never want to see the name changed from either "Chandlerstock" or "The Tornado Open".

I don't know all the details from the past but I know the people that take care of that park loves the TDSA and disc golfers in general. That's based on years of good will communications between the two organizations and people like John Green and I hate to say his name, Zooc. :(

John Green can tell you more history than I can but I found out when I took over that there was more to being TD there than just showing up for mini's. You need to get involved with the park and be open and willing to bring support to things like their United Way tourney, the kids summer camp, and of course Earth Day which at CS we show our support by making an extra effort to pick up trash as we play and clean up after ourselves.

I not really looking to give up CS and much as I'm looking to take a break next year and let someone else who will keep the traditions going and not turn it into a low-value overpriced business.

I'm not saying that is what Woody would do because I don't see what's stopping him from doing a Crow Throw there anyway and especially now that you'll have two courses for larger events.

On second thought, Woody works at "Crow Creek" but for two years no CS sponsorship, never brings appetizers, booze, or beer to my mini's and basically only shows up when there's a big ace pot so as far as I'm concerned he can call it the "Crow Creek Blows Chunks Open". /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And hows does Opie rate a free keg sponsorship from Woody for the 07' Stillwater Classic? Doesn't Opie know that free beer won't help him to mate. :D

I thought about a free keg at CS but I don't want the liabilty. I mean it's ok to run over someone in a tent with a golfcart but I don't want Devan or Neagele doing it with their car.

This new course has been Mitchell proofed anyway so you probably won't do any good there so Kansas is really your best excuse. :o ....Rumour was that Wise and some other pros were going to bag down and take your trophy anyway. :D

Now you griped about prices at the GCD but then you showed up anyway. Then you griped about DJ bagging into your division. IMO DJ only did what you've been doing for years which is work to play in a division where you think you have an advantage. Are you griping about my entry fees or are you just afraid those guys are out to get you? :D

You can always bag down into intermidiate and clean up there. :)

We can even get you a "Drama Queen" trophy if you like. :)

I had to listen to both of you whine after the GCD so I'll take the "Doctor Phil" title too.

I'll consider 2 or 3 of those earlier trophies to be legit but in the DG history books all the others will have an asterisk next to them due to failure to launch above Am status.

Even Tonya Harding went pro after she took out Nancy. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Braggin about 9 or 10 1st place trophies in the same division is like braggin about living with your parents for the past 30-40 years.

What is this with the "One and Done" and why can't you punctuate your sentences?

I remember getting a "One and Done" shirt at Wise's bag tag tourney but I don't see how it relates to Chandlerstock or the mini's I run. Are you comparing your TD and event record to mine? I would love to attend a "RAM" event but I never see any. Maybe you and Dave can do an event at Centennial in Owasso and I can show up and point out all the problems with it? :) You know if you were to run a trophy only event like the one you're looking for then maybe other TD's would lead by your example. Then you can run for admin again and maybe you could get voted in and blow TDSA cash like the rest of us. :) :D

BTW I taught Wise everything he knows. ;)

I'm going to be at Chandler Park tomorrow the 31st at 8:30am to mark the tee pads and to help clear three of the holes on the new course.
If anyone can come help out you are officially invited. We mainly need to clear brush, briars, and trim a few limbs - so loppers, gloves and/or a powerful weed eater would help. There will be an employee of the parks dept to help out too (with a pole saw).
We will be working near the maintainence building east of the old course.
Happy to have help from whomever can make it (sorry for the short notice).

Is it true that they are going to have dope sniffing dogs and breathalizers at the entrance to Craptennial? I also heard that you can't throw a disc in that park without hitting a jogger. I guess you'll be selling insurance on site eh? :D

Goodbye, Twoputt, my little one,
You gave me crap and helped me find the sun,
And every time that I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground;

Goodbye, Twoputt, and please don't cry.
When all the birds are singing in the sky,
Now that the spring is in the air,
Whiff of flowers ev'rywhere,
I wish that we could both be there!

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun.
But the days have all passed and the seasons are all gone. :(

When you talk about "Pro's" in Tulsa you should cast a fart into the wind and wonder about when the last time you saw a "Pro" on TV or ESPN talking about the tough hole they just nailed that wasn't related to them in some far off distant kind of Kentucky kind of way.

You of all people should know that no matter what a "Worm Grinder" you have become,...you should always look towards a better life with or without the baggage of a sub-par "DG Career" that you may or may not want people to know about, and understand that there is still "hope" for you no matter how far around the bottem of the toliet bowl you circle. :o:o

Everything is still being tweaked.

# 3 I like the original position behind the trees but Im concerned with the proximity of the pad to # 1s basket for safety and flow issues. Most of the hacks are throwing from # 2 pad into # 3 fairway. What do you think about pulling # 3s pad back south to the tree line and adding more distance?

# 4 I didnt do anything to this hole except plant a flag after the little punk kids took off with the old one.

# 5 I just moved it because people at the shelter were parking on the tee pad so either the pad needs to move or the shelter needs to go.

# 13 Temp move because of the picnic table which also needs go. Since # 6 on the short course is going to be gone soon we should move this pad south and into where we started that Am course that one time which will lengthen the hole.

# 14 I didnt touch this one so I dont know what youre talking about.

# 16 Didnt touch that one either but that needs revision also because of the shelter on the left coming into play.

# 18 Original was within 2 or 3 feet of two trees. To me its a safety issue so I asked Cris to move it and he moved it just right of those trees. Last I saw it still played technical.

I dont have a problem with making it tough but Im not going to sacrifice safety over it. You pros may be able to throw and land where you want but general population of hacks that come out there are going to be breaking car windows or shanking one into some little kids head. I'll see if we can import some Mohawk swamp into some of those area's.

Last Easter weekend was probably not the norm but some holes were un-play-able due to large gatherings around the green covered shelters specifically and the one picnic table on # 13.

# 11 has the same potential problem. One with the shelter on the right, and the other with # 12 t-pad within 40ft and to the left of # 11 basket. I guess I shouldnt worry about that because only DGers will get hit in the back of the head on that one.

BTW I appreciate your efforts and constructive suggestions but until your Craptennial course is complete you shouldnt be talking too much trash. At least you can drink and smoke at my course. It sounds like the only thing thats going to be happening at your course are AA meetings, drug rehab minis, and bible study every other hole. It reminds me of a course to train new TDs on because when you take away the smokers and the power drinkers in DG, you shouldnt have any problem getting the 10-15 players that show up started on time. :o;)

I played the course for the first time today with Woody. I love the layout. I think I only ended up at 1 0r 2 down but we were also trying new routes and making sure we were throwing to the proper basket. Overall I'd say it is 8 of 10 star course. Bring your A game on the tight lie shots or you won't sniff a birdie.

I'm glad to hear some people are enjoying the new course. You can thank Furdog and Marie for not only having the foresight to make this new course a reality but also their $ sponsorship.
Speaking of which, I am putting a bounty on hole #6 of the new course (the original placement I nailed down) of $25 for whomever birdies (2 shots) this hole during tournament play. Yes you can use mulligans in your attempt. I heard Boy Wonder already birdied it in practice :D
There will hopefully be improvements and concrete pads coming to this course after Chandlerstock. If you know me the course will become a little tougher as long as it is fair, fun, and safe (and the Godfather Furdog approves it)
Hope everyone has a great time at Chandlerstock, see you there on Sunday ;)

why aren't there any minis on the schedule for chandler this month?

sschumacher
May 04 2009, 02:55 PM
Because I'm tired. When Wayne asked me if I wanted some dates it was right around the time I was getting ready for CS25 so I wasn't in the mood to run any mini's in May. I'm officially on vacation. On top of that, # 14 is getting ready to be pulled to make way for the sewage lagoon so until we get that taken care of,.....no mini's at Chandler by me.

There are scheduled top secret mini's going on at Chandler all the month of May but I've been advised by my lawyer not to post it here or I would have to share the spoils with the TDSA. ;)

Since the club voted down my request to fund a 30 foot jumbo Trinitron scoreboard and 5.1 surround sound for every t-pad, I have been reduced to fund my projects at Chandler in an outlaw fashion without the clubs knowledge. That is why I have to keep admins like Muff in the dark. :D

May 22 2009, 05:44 PM
Ok, I cant believe this type of problem exists but in todays world I guess some people just dont have anything else better to do than try and screw things up for the rest of us.

I have just been informed by Pat Standingbear, the County Parks Maintenance supervisor, that one or more bad egg DGers have been taking a detour and trespassing into the area behind the maintenance building and destroying and/or dragging the Xmax decorations out into the wooded holes on the new Moose Run course. In one case they drug Santas sleigh all the way out to the big dog leg hole. They also broke it in the process of throwing it over the rock pile.

For those that dont know, all of those Xmas decorations are for the Xmas light display that the park puts on in December. Most all of them have either been donated or are property of businesss and organizations that support the park light display. The person or persons doing this are screwing the rest of us because if it continues we will probably at least end up losing the two holes in the woods or they might pull the course all together and then well be back to where we started.

While it possibly could be non-DGers involved, it appears evident that these people are DGers since they are populating the holes with the displays and Pat informed me that none of this was happening before we put the course in. In some cases they just destroy the displays on site. This crap urks me to no end. If you owned a business and donated something to a park only to find out it was destroyed by disc golfers Im sure you might lobby the county to get rid of the disc golfers altogether. It really tends to justify the public DG stereotype and hurts the sport in general.

If we lose those two holes there is not much room left to put them somewhere else unless we somehow shorten the few long holes we currently have. I dont want to have to do that.

I cant imagine a TDSA member would be doing this.

Please pass the word and if anyone knows who is doing this please tell them to stop. If you dont want to say anything to them or they tell you to screw off then tell me who they are. If you see someone out there where they are not supposed to be or hauling Xmas stuff around, please take a picture of them if you have a camera cell phone and send it to me.

This is not about narcing on your friends because if they really are your friends they wouldnt be trying to screw you out of the sport we all love and enjoy.

May 22 2009, 05:50 PM
wow thats some of the crappiest news ive heard in a while. how are we supposed to grow the sport with losers like this destroying private property. The christmas lights display is pretty freakin cool too. I say if we find out who did it we subject them to a firing squad. I told him that I would put the word out. I even thought about putting in some time elapsed camera's for a month to see if we can get a pic of these guys. More than likely the culprits are probably herd golfer casuals.

I'm thinking about offering a reward for the arrest and conviction. All I need is a good pic of someone caught in the act then I'll saturate the park and internet with their photo until I find out who they are and where they live.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 11:52 AM
Well to me it will never be complete untill the cement pads and signs are in but that's not going to happen as long as punks and vandals keep trespassing behind the maintenance building and destroying or moving private property onto the course. Makes me kind of sorry Marie and I donated the cash for the baskets in the first place.

I talked to Pat the other day and he said at one time # 1 was done but evidentally they forgot to put steps in to get the disc out of the basket so they dismantled it and are working on a new plan. I'm to the point of just telling him to blow off the idea, plant the baskets, and use the $600 worth of blocks somewhere else.

# 11's pad still needs to be moved also and if I can't get some help on where to put it then then I'll do it myself and people probably are not going to like it.

On the bright side though, Pat told me he had permission to move two of the small green shelters. He didn't know which ones to move but I'm thinking the one farthest south in the wooded area for sure, and then maybe the one by # 11, though the one by # 5 might open up some of the NE corner by the pool that we didn't even go into. I like # 6 because it's long but perhaps we could run that hole more NE and then shoot back into the woods.

As far as the progress of the county?..... I'm wondering if Zook may have corrupted them into working slower and playing more.

Did you see any gravel in the new parking area yet?

twoputtok
May 26 2009, 11:58 AM
Didn't see anything new, looked like it did the week before Chandler Stock.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 12:29 PM
Well I guess I'm going to have to fire Hicks and find a new "Ramrod". How about you Wise? You tend to have that fallic look about you. :)

I bug them every other day about it.

Maybe what we really need is for people to start calling the maintenance building (591-6052) and ask when holes 1 & 4 are going to be completed. (Hint .... hint)

I don't want to complain too much though because compared to what we get from the crew at Haikey, the Chandler crew still rocks above all others.

The club has a good opportunity to make something really special out there. All Pat is asking us for is to cover the cement pads, which has already been approved by the club, and set the forms and provide the labor when it comes time to pour.

If we get those two shelters moved to the new parking lot then I think we should even support some of the cement cost there also. That's my opinion though. I know your opinion based on Craptenial (with no club funds used) but your course in Owasso will never bring in the cash to the TDSA like Chandler will. It doesn't matter whether I'm the TD or not.

twoputtok
May 26 2009, 12:56 PM
Thats a great idea, lets pay for the concrete for the shelters, I'm sure that will help the county with their budget concerns. Maybe when they finish the new gym, we could send some kids to basketball camp too.

For Owasso, I'm not concerned with grabbing as much cash for the club as I can. As a matter of fact it may end up being the only TRUE non-profit course in town, meaning money will not be redistributed to non-performing courses and outside charities. If Owasso makes money, the money will stay there. This is not OBAMA land out here, we like being able to keep what we make and not have to spread it around to those that don't. I just want to have a nice course, with a decent layout and some additional ameneties for the players, like benches.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 01:10 PM
So you're saying that the TDSA should not support cement for a small shelter or two specifically for DG use at one of it's largest fund raising and publically visable course but you think it's ok that your new privately TD'd non TDSA supported course should keep all of it's funds for benchs for big butt DG'ers?

How is that not helping money rich Owasso with their budget?

twoputtok
May 26 2009, 01:24 PM
You never said the shelters were for DG'ers..............

I wish we could get more than we do now. I would like to see benches, bag holders, REAL disc golf signage and maps at hole 1 of every course.

I know that is reaching a bit, but with a little work and a little money, we could get it done. For less than $250 and entire course could be set up with 18 4x4 posts , with bag holders and a place for an umbrella. These are the kinds of improvments that the club needs to be doing to all of its premier courses. Or maybe we could establish a matching bench program with the city, since they require a certain type of bench. We raise funds and they match it. This angle works MUCH better than just asking for the money.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 02:46 PM
Yes, at least one but hopefully two of those small green shelters are in the works to be moved over by the new parking lot by hole # 1 on the “Moose Run”. Pat told me that he has already bought some gravel for the parking lot but he didn’t tell me when that was going in. It’s in the best interest of the park to try and get that done ASAP since they are wanting DG’ers to park there instead of shelter # 3 which they want to reserve more to the general public. I talked to him about having a shelter there a long time ago and they understand. I don’t even care if it has a picnic table under it. In fact I prefer it didn’t so as to keep mom & pop and the kiddies from grabbing it for their picnic. If we could get two of them side by side and connected in some manner that would be great for mini and tourney sign ups when it’s raining.

We are also looking at a nice sign to hold maps of both courses in the new parking area also.

I brought up the idea about the 4x4 wood tee signs with the unbrella holders like Ben Geren but I was met with the comment that “Wood burns” and Pat is probably right considering some of the punks that frequent Chandler. As far as I know, that’s one thing that Fort Smith has over Tulsa…….Less vandalizing morons.

I’m not really a fan of those dinky signs at Dovillio or Mohawk though so if anyone has any other ideas let me know.

I like the matching bench idea.

pdorries
May 26 2009, 03:04 PM
since you are thinking about doing maps for the courses, it would probably be adequate to just go cheap and paint hole number and distance on the teebox. also the directional marking on the basket (one painted bar) toward the next tee box.

not a revolutionary idea by any means, just my opinion of a cheap solution

I tried to get ahold of Pat but he was in a meeting so I left a message with Mike telling him we had made some changes and wanted Pat to call me back so we can do a walk through together.
I guess they are just slow in figuring out how to raise the baskets on #1 and #4 but they have already ordered the brick and #4 looks like it is almost done and they just need to add some steps and make #1 look like #4.

I wasn't talking about 4x4 tee signs. I was wanting the 4x4 posts for bag holders, in addition to any tee signs. The comment, they burn, just dosen't cut it. If thats the case, then they would have already removed the fence around the shelther for firewood. Getting a concreted 4x4 post out of the ground is a lot tougher that getting out a 1" cheap metal pole and you can't bend the 4x4. You can kick it and punch it but it'll hurt. Until they finsish all of the County construction around there and get the parking lots put it, it will continue to be a course under adjustment, which is not a bad thing if you at least give us 18 baskets to play. FOr them to not have #1 and #4 in the ground is just ridiculous and Pat knows it, it just hasn't been on their priority list and they will get to it when they get to it, thats County work.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 04:09 PM
Well hopefully they will have it done by Duff's special so we can check out the new tee pad placements with a large group and on a weekend so you can see where people gather and if there will be any safety issues. I don't mind having a mando but if it is to provide safety for a nearby picnic table, you can **** well bet that some casual is going to ignore it. I would think with 2 of those shelters out of the way it would open up some possibilties that were not there before.

Like I said, I'm all for the 4X4 tee signs like Ben Geren and they can hold bags also. We can save money and even come back with the matching bench offer although we might be able to recyle some of those existing cement picnic tables and get a couple of benches. The cheapest metal sign I've seen is $60 a piece and they look like crap.

twoputtok
May 26 2009, 04:12 PM
Agreed. I haven't seen a decent tee sign out of any of the basket manufactures. Some of the best ones I have seen, were done by a local company, like they did in Ft. Smith.

FurDog, if you ever get to Kansas City, go by Water Works, just to check out their signs, benches and other stuff they have.

May 26 2009, 04:19 PM
My opinion...

Definetly move the two most southern shelters (and concrete table and benches) to the new parking lot...if you don't want the concrete table and benches at the new parking lot, than they can be moved out onto the course (say 9 or 10s tee pad area)...the shelter at 5s teepad can probably stay...but you should ask Pat to move that one to the new parking lot as well..."supersize that shelter for me please"...3x bigger! Also, if Pat moves the shelter by 5s teepad, it will open up that area for DG if we lose holes 7 and 8 due to the DG hooligans that are messin' with the private property.

...end of my opinion.

sschumacher
May 26 2009, 04:36 PM
Well the problem with most of those picnic tables is that the tables and benches themselves are cemented to the pad they sit on. Don't know really if you can break those up without destroying the bench you're trying to reuse. Losing 7 & 8 is a real possiblity. There is park crew member in the park even on weekends but they nomally go home at 3:30 so I imagine most of this trespassing is going on by the afterschool crowd. :(

I would prefer to have all three shelters lined up at the new parking lot also. I've seen that one by # 5 trashed out with beer cans before and with it gone you won't have to worry about people parking on your tee pad. I know it doesn't look that way during the average weekday, but you get one drunken party going on there on the weekend with 8-10 cars parked around, and then tell me there's not going to be a throw down between some drunk Dg'er and some drunken Joe Public.

We should either show respect or arm ourselves with automatic weapons and be ready to thin the herd if necessary. :)

would someone care to explain how the moose ctp shootout works... ctp every hole, i got that... but is it per card? do you still keep score? is it ctp for everyone for the whole round? how does it work

sschumacher
May 27 2009, 11:18 AM
Basically we will play this just like a normal mini with all normal mini divisions available. The CTP part is separate in the sense that each player has put in .50 cent per hole (18 holes x .50 = 9$ from your $15 entry fee). Total # of players determines CTP payout per hole. Example: With 40 players each hole will pay $20 cash.

All 18 holes will have a flag and all you have to do is be the closest on the hole at the end of the round because you are playing against everyone. There is no limit on the number you can win.

In the past the entry was $20 and holes were paying like $40 per hole. Some people cleaned up by hitting 3 or 4.

The ace pot will not be in affect but if you hit and an ace then you win that hole unless someone else aces that hole also.

You will still have cards and have to keep score because you are playing a normal mini at the same time though the payout on the mini is $4 per person. $2 goes to the TDSA which is standard on weekends.

BTW...Joel Woody has been notorious by hitting 3-4 ctps at this event in the past so we all need to gang up and deny him this year. :)

I personally will take 3 because this is the year of the dog and I'm feeling all furry inside.

Well it’s too late now. The flyer is up. It’s all ready on the schedule at $15. Duff has already copied my flyer on his. If I bumped it up to $1 per hole the entry becomes $24. ($18 + $2 + $4). I’m all for $1 per hole but I’m thinking more players will go for $15 vs $24 if they play the $20 Duff Stock the day before.

What if I run an outlaw mini before the event at 10:30am for $1 per hole or even $2 per hole? I’m not scared of you two chumps.:)

I know Duff is a sucker and good for some cash and anyone that wins in the first round might want to stick around and try to double their money.

TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!...TONIGHT!!!

Disc Golf excellence returns to Tulsa’s highest, driest, and most greatest DG complex. Did I say highest?.....Yes I did because you can’t get no higher than Furdog’s Mountain where every hole is elevated above all the other courses in town. Disc fly farther because the air is thinner up there.

Special guest TD tonight and every Thursday for the month of June is Joyle Deering. Start time will be 6pm which means for the Coberly gang, no running back down the mountain five minutes till six to get another six pack of beer because Joyle starts on time.

I will be there to play, help, and run interference for Joyle. I will also be bringing him $74 which will be the starting ace pot so do the math.

My # 9 CS25 tag will be on the line and as a preview of the upcoming “Mystic Moose All CTP Shootout”, my card will be play “$1 All CTP” so be ready to fork out $18 if you want to play on the course pro’s card and have a chance at my tag. Post here or let me know if you’re interested as there are only 4 spots open on my card and you must have your bag tag with you to roll with the big dog.

Look for $1 CTP’s at Duff’s Casino at hole # 1.

Free electrical hookups for all “Vap-heads”.

Free CTP’s sponsored by Lil’ Moose.

All beer drinkers, smokers, and sinners are welcome!!!

It’s all for fun and fun for all!!!!

I don't run minis for one month and all the sudden your female hormones take over and you're griping over no mini's at Chandler? There was a time when you griped when the club ran too many minis at Chandler. Why aren't you griping about no mini's at your super swamp Mohawk?

Right now in the "minis run" department the score is Furdog 30+ / Twoputt-Zip-Zero-Notta.

Face it, if there were divisions for TDSA TD's you wouldn't even qualify for junior division.

Well Dave, the truth be known, thanks to you and Duff griping, the club has put me on probation since I'm not living up to your expectations. It's really ok with me because thanks to you, now I don't have to make good on any of my bag tag promises which means I can keep the money I generated for myself just like you're going to do at Craptenial.

You in charge of Craptenial just tells me that the city of Owasso doesn't bother to do background checks on criminal records.

You have really taught me a lot over the years and maybe someday after I screw over enough people I'll be able to live in the promised land of Owasso.

I am bringin ace pot money out to Joyle tonight and if you don't think I should play then I'll go back home but what is the difference between me not running the mini and playing vs you not running a mini and playing? That is all you've ever done and I'm just following your example.

twoputtok
Jun 04 2009, 11:54 AM
I never said I was going to keep Centennial's money for myself, I said I was going to put all PROFITS back into the course with matching dollars from the city. You not honoring your bag tag promises is no different than the last guy that did tags. And with Owasso, they don't require we give them kick backs under the guise of "Park Friends".

By the way the city did a background check but they only looked for convictions.

You living in the "OC" just won't happen, this is the "City of Character" not Characters. For the month of June their motto is
Justice - Taking responsibbilty to uphold what is pure, right and true.

sschumacher
Jun 04 2009, 12:06 PM
Owasso is the city that American Airlines built and you're the one bilking them for over priced insurance premiums. All their soccer teams have to come to Tulsa to play because the rich and truly famous prefer to use their land for ball golf. They build the houses to fit as much of the lot as possible so they have less lawn to mow and even then they truck in illegals to do that for them. If you get a divorce in Owasso then they force you to move out which is probably why you keep your lips glued to butt up there.

twoputtok
Jun 04 2009, 12:20 PM
We truck in the illegals from your neighborhood. Just face it, Owasso is too good for you and you'll never measure up to their standards. For starters, you can't play golf, and no one would ever marry you and you lack the character for which it would take to survive here. You just need to stay where you are, Zooc needs your tax dollars.

DoughDuff

sschumacher
Jun 04 2009, 12:58 PM
I would never want to live in Owasso. The traffic on 169 at rush hour is no different than Tulsa and there's nothing fun in Owasso. No night life, no River Parks, no action of any kind. People in Owasso go to Tulsa to party but nobody in Tulsa really goes to Owasso to party because there's nothing there.

Living in Tulsa is living in the middle of everything. More opportunities and more choice. If you haven't armed yourself for possible danger then you're not a true Republican.

Move to Owasso if:

1) You don't want to entertain friends often.
2) You want your kids to have the best designer drugs.
3) You want to get screwed at a car dealership.
4) You want to wait 20 minutes at the one and only busiest intersection in town.
5) You want to be closer to your toothless relatives that live in the country.
6) You are a born again sex offender.
7) You are a Nazi sympathizer and want to work for the SS police department.
8) You need a place to go that your stripper girlfriend doesn't know about.
9) You don't like Native Americans or their casinos.
10) You find a sugar momma that doesn't speak Spanish and doesn't like Mexicans.
11) You think Billy Swaggart didn't sleep with Jessica.
12) You prefer spending a lot of your life on the road driving to Sin City.
13) You think taking your kid to soccer practice is really spending quality time with them.
14) You're a recovering alcohalic.
15) You think Robin Leech will show up at your house and do a story on your life.

There are also plenty of low-lifes there. :)

You call your dogs real dogs? They look like walking road kill on meth to me. Just like someone from Owasso to not get a real dog but instead turn around and steal a couple of “Pugs” off the wok at the local Chinese restaurant. You go out of town for one day and you’re paying $100 to board them at the Doubletree. Don’t count on them leading you around should you ever become blind ether. My cats would eat their lunch.

And do I really look like I clean house? I’ve got pizza boxes at my house left over from six months ago. I only take out the trash when the raccoons start dumping my trash can. I don’t clean the Moose Lodge because of the basic fundamental differences between women and men. To a woman a house needs to be cleaned once a week. To a man, every six months is standard. In your case, you just hire an illegal maid to clean your house. That’s a real classic Owassanite for you. Probably the only reason you have kids is to have someone take out the trash for you.

You’re just jealous because when the sun goes down and you come home you have only one choice and that is to get down on your knees and ask for permission for whatever you want to do the next day. I’ll bet you’re not even allowed to watch “The Man Show” without a censor and an interpreter. You probably have all the late night “Girls Gone Wild” commercials blocked out too.

I know everything there is to know about women.

In the beginning, there was Adam but before there was Eve there were four previous prototypes in alphabetical order.

The first woman prototype was called Athena. All she wanted to do is have sex all the time. Man was pleased at first but grew tired and hungry after a while and Athena could not cook.

So God made a second prototype and named her Barbara. She liked sex and could cook very well but she didn’t know how to clean and soon the trash in the garden was piled way high in the sky.

So God went back the drawing board and created Clare. Clare cleaned and cooked but she worked so hard she was too tired for sex and Adam became unhappy.

So God worked on the prototype and created Do-Lorrus. She could do everything the previous models did but to keep from getting too tired for sex she insisted the man take out the trash and mow the garden.

Man soon employed the monkees in the garden to do this for him and Do-Lorus soon became emotional and moody over man’s ability to sub-contract the chores while still demanding sex from her while he does nothing at all. Man was happy but Do-Lorus was not so she asked God for an upgrade and thus the “Eve” (Short for Evil) model was created.

This was the model that convinced Adam to eat the apple thus angering God and causing God to eliminate any future upgrades or revisions on the female prototype. Do you understand now? We had almost a full alphabet of future upgrades coming to us but Eve ruined it for all of us.

Then she invented marrage, children, and divorce lawyers so ultimately you would be the one working for her instead of her working for you. :(

Hey I LOVE women but I don't think you really have to get married to prove that. Kurt and Goldie aren't married. I think your plan to become a soccer Dad and hang out at soccer games checking out the single mothers though is a little bit deceitful. I don't know how you can say you know anything about women though when you've only been with two your whole life.

It reminds me of the guy that has worked a job for 35 years but claims he knows everything there is to know about the job market. Or the DG construction guy that say's he can do anything.

And BTW, I haven't known you for 30 years. The only thing I remember about you in high school is all the "beat downs" you took from the varsity female basketball team after school at the church.:)....I was also the one that knocked the plastic bag and can of Krylon paint out of your hands and set you up with your first Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.

Concerning the mini.....Over 40 people showed up for a great time and yes the ace pot has been cleaned out. Don't expect any results though because I don't think Joyle has computer access.

Well if you think it's a bluff then make my day. Evidentally though the vandels decided to blow off the Xmas stuff and decided to steal a basket instead. Just got off the phone with Pat and they found # 5's basket on the old course two hundred feet away in the woods this morning. They are replanting it now.

I guess someone was upset with Joyle charging weekend rates last night and decided to steal a basket after the mini to make up for it.:(
