182 players took a DISCtinctly shrewd decision earlier this year when they registered for the 2015 Canadian National Championships in greater Vancouver, British Columbia. Held from June 19th to June 21st, this Pro A-Tier & Amateur B-Tier event delivered way beyond expectations by providing those savvy hucksters with what can aptly be described as a supernatural disc golf experience.
PDGA International Director Brian Hoeniger #4022 is pleased to announce the completion and release of the 2015 PDGA International Program Guide which provides in-depth information on PDGA activities and protocol in all countries outside of USA and Canada. In 2014, the 10th year of the International Program, there were 3100+ International Members, 360+ sanctioned events, and 28 PDGA affiliated countries in Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
PDGA Canada was set up a few years ago as a small branch office of the PDGA headquarters in the USA with the purpose of supporting and promoting disc golf and PDGA activities in the Great White North. The prime strategy for accomplishing this is to retain the Canada event sanctioning and player fees in country in Canadian dollars for reinvestment. While Canada does not have any Tour Majors or National Tour events, in 2013, PDGA Canada distributed almost $10,000 in sponsorship to new courses, existing course upgrades, as well as leading events, and other relavant ideas across the country.
