Beginning in 2016, the National Tour has implemented a tiered registration requirement for all NTs. This decision was made due to the overwhelming popularity of these events in recent history,causing a “race to click” scenario during registration for our biggest events. We want to ensure that our premier competitions play host to the best talent in the world, not just those that were quick to register. Therefore, the registration process will provide a week for each of the following ratings breaks, followed by open registration (remainder and age-protected divisions):
|4th||Open to All||Open to All|
Series points from a player’s top four National Tour finishes from the first five events plus the points from the Hall of Fame Classic will determine the 2017 PDGA National Tour Elite Series Champion.
Points are split across tied places. With the exception of the Men’s and Women’s Series Champions, the bonuses for all ties will be divided evenly.
In the case of a tie for the Series Champion the following tie-breakers will be utilized:
- Sum of points at all National Tour events.
- Head-to-head record in all National Tour events.
- Head-to-head record at the Hall of Fame Classic.
- Sudden death playoff
*NOTE: Payout numbers are still being finalized and will be published as soon as possible.
