Pro Worlds - Day 2

Awards Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction

While everyone waited for the Great Shuffle to occur Wednesday night, several hundred golfers, staff, and volunteers made their way over to historic Cocoanut Grove on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for the PDGA Awards Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.

The venue was a great location with beautiful views of Monterey Bay, the pier, and the famous amusement rides on the Boardwalk.

After a buffet dinner, Crazy John Brooks emceed the induction of "Duster" Don Hoffman, Joe Feidt, and the late Brent Hambrick into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame. He first invited all current HOF members in attendance to join him in front of the stage to be recognized by the crowd. Barry Schultz introduced his good friend Don Hoffman while Al "Speedy" Guerrero introduced Joe Feidt. After Don and Joe said their thank yous they joined the rest of the HOF members seated below for hugs, photos, and plenty of smiles. The two new Hall of Famers then signed custom HOF discs and chatted with their fans.

The evening entertainment included a comedian, a trio of female entertainers, a ‘talk show’ hosted by Greg Barsby, and a rocking house band that had just flown in from Vegas.
