As the 2011 PDGA tournament season comes to a close, there are still quite a few opportunities for some heavier-weighted B-Tier points between now and Dec 31, 2011.

According to the PDGA schedule there are a dozen PDGA C-Tiers, no A-Tier events, and just seven more B-Tiers remaining for 2011.

Bradley Williams, the winner of last year’s inaugural Fly Ink Open said in his speech, “Thanks for giving us a place to play in December.” He understood that premier disc golf events are hard to come by this late in the year. The second annual Fly Ink Open will be held December 3rd and 4th and it is shaping up to surpass the glory that was last year’s tournament.

Nate Doss wins the 2011 Players Cup World Match Play Championship! After pushing the first hole, Nikko Locastro won holes two and three and looked ready to repeat as Players Cup champion. Nate Doss, as he did all year, steadied his ship and responded with a stellar performance. Nikkos's approach shot on hole 4 went OB left, and Nate took the hole and never looked back.

The singles rounds yesterday yielded some great scores and plays out for a heated competition during today’s team doubles round. The best three of each team’s four singles scores per round counted towards their cumulative team score. After everything was calculated, the race is extremely close. Arkansas and South Carolina are tied at the top with a one throw lead over East Tennessee State.
