Not the best course I have played, but, certainly not the worst . Nice elevation changes, holes are short but when throwing up hill add another third in distance.
The walk was not terrible, trail was intuitive to me. If you cannot make this walk stick to the manicured college campus, or state park.
Spoke to several people on the course, very friendly people.
Kudos to the people who put in all the 4x4 steps and logs, not an easy task.
The folks I talked to said there were only really 4 people who do all the work on the course, lots of respect for these die hards.

Speaking as a frequent player of both Golden Hills courses, this is a big surprise for most regular disc golf players: It isn't your typical course. It is wooded; though, the people who maintain it are quite aware of making all holes possible with enough skill and practice.

Furthermore, it would be considered a hike for the less athletic disc golf player. The elevation has major changes, which--in my opinion--increases the diversity of holes.

It truly is a great course, but don't expect to stroll! (Also, be sure to snap a picture of the map, as it isn't as intuitive as other courses--but, not impossible.)

THIS COURSE IS TERRIBLE. Do not go here. If you want to walk and not play disc golf this course is for you. Snake heaven. Terrible directions throughout the course. If you want to play go to Randolph it is so much better.

VERY TREACHEROUS. Holes are extremely short, and it is easy to get lost on the course. Way more annoying than challenging or fun. If you want a rugged hike, just go for a hike, do NOT play this course.

This course is very well kept and flows nicely through tight woods well cleared though from the amount of traffic it sees. New arrows direct people to the next tee very well, but tee boxes could use some fixing up. Good tee length variation and extremely large elevation changes. It is as much of a hike as it is a golf course. Rumor has it a second course will also be going in here shortly. It seems to always be well maintained but can get quite treacherous after a heavy rain. Overall it is a challenging and fun course that will where you out but have you wanting to play it again at the same time. The local disc club has done a great job with this course.

This is our home court and happy to have such a great one. If you are on I-81 and need a break there is no better reason. We need some trail and tee work BUT this is a wonderful course. Very tight and challenging, please pack out your trash and have a great time. After the round head into Blacksburg for good food and time.
