Had to go to the dealer for a "check eng" on my wifes CRV...$90.00 for them to tell me the gas cap was not on tight. (Even though I had tightened the cap, they still had to re-set the sensor)
The reason you will never see an all eletric car, all the spark plugs, oil filters, etc Service is where the real money is made on a car.
Good luck Cware

Take it by autozone and they will hood you up to the sensor and tell you what code comes up, then they will pull up your code and tell you what is wrong for free. Takes about 5 minutes.

Some times they can help. They don't know what codes are. But they can reset codes. That helps. When if gets fixed.

you shouldn't have to break any of the plastic clips. Get yerself some needle nose pliers (preferably not the stubby ones) and squeeze the clip together and slide the clip right on out without breaking any OR you could do it the caveman way and basically rip it off and prolly have to replace a few clips like Jamie does ;) Jamie has a ton of them at his job I'm sure so he can getaway with that, but this way may save you a trip to the auto store to get more clips so your interior isn't hanging loose. :)

Efi, is yours in working condition?
Who else? Please let me know!!
If you have a sleeve then you can use mine.
I will also see if Ronnie will let me p/u and use his basket. And I will check with Russell to see if we can use his basket.
When do you need them?? Where do you need them??

No sleeves out there Keith, so only portables. Thanks for helping round up some baskets!
Thanks Ware. I will have to coordinate with Jon about a pick up.
Yoshi's
Hellman's
Ware X3
Thats 5 for sure
And maybe 2 Keith can get.
Still need at least 2 more baskets. This is secluded and private land, so baskets will be safe! Anybody else??
I have to work some friday morning till noon, then can run p/u baskets, maybe even Ware's, then bring out to the show!! What time would you need them by?
Jon said he can bring his truck and trailer to the mini Wed. to pick up any baskets that can be brought out then...
Other wise any time Friday would be fine.
Looks like it might be a little wet.

See the above post?? This would work out great for basket p/u's.
Only question is, would the tralior sit while we played or would the tralior leave for the ranch before we played. Reason is, don't want baskets sitting out in plain site to get stolen while we play. I'm sure that will be fine...call me or jon and we can figure it out
No longer need to worry about Clinten & Brians "lost bag" from last saturday. Was doing some honey doo's last night and found their bag in an empty box in the garage. Like the old man said "if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch". They should have stayed on the porch. Thanks for keeping an eye out for it anyway Josh & Jon.

The 2007 COTO tournament at Pease Park in Austin is coming up rapidly (less than a month, yikes!). We are still seeking sponsors, so if you or someone you know or some business you know of would be able to sponsor, wed really appreciate it. We need cash sponsorship, but we could also use merchandise and/or gift certificate sponsorship too.
Our sponsor request letter is below. Please help out Waterloo Disc Golf Club and E.D.G.E. by printing it out, taking it around, and asking folks about sponsoring. Remember, the worst anyone can do is say no.
Also, players dont forget: you can register for COTO online at www.titledisc.com. (http://www.titledisc.com.) This tournament usually fills up with 130-140 players, so dont wait until the last minute.
Thanks!

Dear Sponsor,
The Waterloo Disc Golf Club is proud to announce that it is hosting the 17th Annual Capital of Texas Open at Pease Park in Austin, Texas. This distinguished disc golf tournament is one of the longest running tournaments in Texas. The dates are set for May 19-20, 2007, and this years event will again benefit the Educational Disc Golf Experience (E.D.G.E.) as well as our local disc golf community through the Waterloo Disc Golf Club.
E.D.G.E. is an outstanding non-profit, charitable organization that provides disc golf equipment and curriculum to 3rd through 12th graders across the country. It was developed by a Two-time World Champion disc golfer and educational specialists to give schools and youth organization leaders a basis for teaching a fun, easy-to-learn, lifetime sport to young people. For more information on the E.D.G.E. program visit their website at www.edgediscgolf.org (http://www.edgediscgolf.org) .
The Waterloo Disc Golf Club itself is a non-profit civic organization. We are here not only to support and promote the sport, but we are also all about giving back to the community. Please visit us at www.austindiscgolf.org (http://www.austindiscgolf.org) . Thanks to past sponsorship and hard work by our volunteers, we have donated in excess of $55,000 to Ronald McDonald House, Capital Area Food Bank, E.D.G.E., Lance Armstrong Foundation, Downs Syndrome Association of Central Texas, and the Austin Parks Foundation over the last eight years. Also, thanks in part to our great sponsors of the 2005 tournament, the E.D.G.E. program has been implemented into a local school here in Central Texas. Wont you please help enhance our local parks and our childrens education through E.D.G.E. by being a sponsor of this wonderful tournament? Sponsorship can be in the form of cash, merchandise, or a combination of the two. The different levels are:
For a sponsorship of $200 or more: your companys banners/signs on display in the park during the event, your logo on the official tournament shirt, your logo on the club web site, plus on a tee-box sign. This sign will be seen by all of the competitors each time that they play the course. Your name will also be added to the Sponsor List that will be displayed at the course and distributed to the players, the general public, and the media.
For a sponsorship of $100 - $199: your logo on the club web site, a tee-box sign, and Sponsor List.
For a sponsorship of up to $99: your name on the web site and Sponsor List.
Sponsorships of smaller amounts will greatly be appreciated as well. All sponsors will be put on the Sponsor list.
For more information, please contact Gordon Maxim-Kelley at (512) 858-0119 (
[email protected]), Patty or Mitch Justice at (830) 392-6060 (
[email protected]), or Roger Allen at (512) 899-2063. Please send all sponsorship to Waterloo Disc Golf Club, PO Box 33531, Austin, TX, 78764 (checks payable to Waterloo Disc Golf Club). If you wish, you can make your check payable directly to E.D.G.E. in order to get the tax benefits of a charitable donation. Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Patty Justice

We have been playing a casual $5 a head mini out at Rolls Ranch on Tuesdays. We are playing a 27 hole layout, with some that repeat on the big 18. Due to the layout, we are limited in the number of cards we can handle. I would like to see it evolve into a 2 division mini, with only 3 or 4 cards. If you would like to join us today or any other Tuesday, call me: Josh- 469-583-2438. Please leave a message because I probably will not answer. I will probably not see the board again today either, so please call me before you head out there! I will likely be there about 4pm to get in the pool before the drinking...I mean golf starts.

Honestly, I am way, way, way more concerned with the "uglification" of Eleanor Tinsley Park that the ultimate destiny of the disc golf park. I just can't believe that anyone in their right minds supports putting a skate park THERE. With all the vacant land around this city? This is one of the only "beautiful" views of Houston and one of the last green spaces that bikes, runners, and dog-walkers can enjoy.

???
Shouldn't they just ask the Parks Dept.? After all,.... They own it.

I think it would be a little more about RESPECT than onwership and the person maybe might get some help from the club

I think that if a person is holding an event at the course, They would respect the Course, i.e. picking up the trash, etc.
If it's posted at the Course, Then maybe the Club should contact the TD and see if he needs any help. Just out of respect for the TD that's doing all the work.
You never know,.. The TD might have their stuff together more than most Clubs.

Sure you can have a Party at my house,... But since I don't OWN the HOUSE, you better check with the LANDLORD,i.e. The Parks Dept. Then after the LANDLORD says okie dokie, you can contact me to see if I can help or have ideas that might make your Party ROCK!

Nice comeback,... 1st time using that? :o
The only DONKEYS I hear are the ones that just don't get it.
Sure you put your time into a course that the city says ok. That does not mean you or a club or anyone else owns it. The people own it.You just don't get the fact that other people use the Golf area and without any club standing over them like a goon and demanding that they obey their rules. "I'ts my Ball",.. Sorry, it's not,.... It was just your HOT AIR that filled it. I'm sure you have plenty more to spare. ;)
Here's your ACE RACE TD,...Round Rock, TX
Old Settlers Park - 9am TD: Troy Herman

Not sure this is the best example - if you have to ask your landlord to have a party in the house you rent, I think you're taking it in the donkey :o

TOO FUNNY WHO IS THAT GUY!!!
Yes, your right Fishhead, we don't own Old Settlers and can't stop anyone from having an event at OUR HOUSE, but!!, we do take care of OUR HOUSE and would hope that anyone running an event at OUR HOUSE would be nice enough to let us know about it. But! Being that this event is a two disc ace run with player package disc only (2-of them) and its at the longest course around with very little shad and lots of wind it should have about as much success as the Astro's making it back to the World Series this year. I really feel sorry for this T.D.. I think he has bitten of more than he can chew with this event!! Best of luck anyway dude!!

That is all I was saying to begin with.
I would hope that ALL courses within the USA would welcome new stuff everytime. The clubs are there to help spread the disease of Disc Golf. Maybe the Club up in that neck of the woods could contact him and maybe suggest another House, Like Cat Hollow. With flags for some new tees, that would be a fun Ace Race Course for his event.
BTW my landlord says he has the final word on all parties,... It's in the lease,... I read the fine print. :D

So what's the final work on this? Is someone actually cosidering having an "Ace Race" at Old Settlers? I still have not seen the flyer... Maybe someone should let them know how infrequently the cousrse is aced - I mean even after adding some short holes we still have stacking ace pots for Wednesday & just a few weeks ago finally paid out Sunday. Seems a little silly to me, Cat Hollow does seem more suitable. Oh yea, and that's our house too before anyone else starts in on that - we are the Double R (Round Rock) Disc Golf Club, not Old Settlers DGC & run minis @ all of our courses.

I was told he lives in the area and wanted to run one close to home...we had to shorten the holes at Zilker for an Ace race...better have shuttle service from basket to the next tee :o

I think another ace race in the area would take away from waterloo's ace race.. I think waterloo does just fine and it should stay that way..

the 3 disc challange went great - muddy (I know why they close it in the rain now). I think 63 players Olse wins, JD wins, & Mike Harrell lost in INT!!
I PMed the ace race guy to get more details & explained the course (and our frustration of not being included) & will post when I get a layout from him. He seems to think he's havin an ace race @ The Rock. :)

We need a new club logo to be used for club sponsorship & merchandise in 2008. We'd like club members to submit potential logos to cabinet members - Edman, Lala, & Keith the Bigarm Antique May. We will have club members vote on our new logo & the winner will receive free club re-newal for 2008 & one of the new club shirts. Logos should include the proper club name Double R Disc Golf Club & prior logos have always included a version of our mascot a dragon. E-mail logo submissions to
