The 33rd Stockholm Discgolf Open takes place this weekend for the 16th time at Järva Discgolf Park, the first pay-to-play course in Europe. The SDGO is the largest annual event in Europe and is part of the Eurotour. Two hundred and sixteen golfers have registered for this event!

Tournament Director Jonas Löf leads a small but experienced staff that includes members of the Järva Discgolf Club, Vice Tournament Director Peter Bygde, Mats Löf, Andreas Winkelbauer, and Fredrik Granåsen.

This year’s field includes eleven Americans including last year’s winner Nikko Locastro. Dave Feldberg and Paul McBeth also made the trip. Sweden’s favorites include Markus Källström, Jesper Lundmark, and dark horse Oscar Stenfelt.

In the Womens division, American Paige Pierce is a favorite, but she’ll have to watch out for the Swede Camilla Jernberg and local Ragna Bygde.
