An added challenge contributed to the Moving Day pressure on Saturday at the 2023 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship.

Steady rain and wind hit the Burlington, North Carolina are throughout most of the day.

It didn’t slow down the action at all as the competitors powered through.

Here’s a look around the USWDGC heading into Championship Sunday:

• Kristin Tattar followed her only bogey with an eagle on the way to a 6-under round and a two-stroke lead over Henna Blomroos, who stumbled on the closing hole after a clean round in the elements on the Regulator course. It’s going to be a showdown between Tattar, who is chasing the season grand slam of the PDGA Majors, and Blomroos, who has the most podium finishes at PDGA Majors without a win.
• In FA1, Addison Woodard finished 4-under on the last three holes to take the solo lead by four strokes with her 929-rated round. Virginia Polkinghorne is in second.
• Debbie Polkinghorne moved to second place in FA50 with the hot round and is two strokes back of leader Allie Lawler.

• Kayla Hess had a stellar 954-rated in a competitive FJ15 field to take a three-stroke lead.
• MJ Gager and Peyton Kohut are tied at 12-under in FJ12. Journey Priddy moved to one back with the hot round.
• In FA2, Samantha Landers used 4-under round to take a two-stroke lead.
• Other close divisions include Amy Cooper in FP55 (3 strokes); Jaima Cartright in FA40 (1); Angie Jones in FA55 (2) with Nadia Coccaro shooting the hot round to move to second; Patricia Neprud-Mehls takes solo lead (2) over Patti Adams in FA70.

The skies are clearing in Alamance County North Carolina and the forecast promises a nice Sunday both on and off the course to close out the largest USWDGC in PDGA history.
