How to Watch the 2022 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships

Monday, August 29, 2022 - 13:00

Moments have defined the history of the Pro Worlds.

We'll all remember the one from 2021, a clip that we've see time and time again and will likely see replayed for the foreseeable future, but that one is just the latest in a 40-year history of Pro Worlds.

Now it's time to make a new one.

The best in the sport have descended on Emporia, Kansas this week for the 2022 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships presented by Dynamic Discs.

The storylines are running deep in 2022.

The quest for No. 6 for Paige Pierce and Paul McBeth continues. Catrina Allen and James Conrad — who both had throws that defined the 2021 Worlds — are the defending champions.

Those things have merit, but don't mean much entering the most prestigious tournament of the year with the parity that we've seen in 2022.

Simon Lizotte, who finished second earlier this year at the Dynamic Discs Open, which served as a mini preview of Worlds, recently grabbed his third Elite Series win of the season. Wysocki has that same number of wins on the Elite Series this year and the rest have been different winners.

In FPO, Pierce has five wins, including two PDGA Majors, but Kristin Tattar, the highest-rated FPO player in the world, hasn't missed the podium on the Elite Series this year. Her resume also includes a win in Emporia in May.

Every week, a player from the next generation emerges.

Every week, it's anyone's game.

We're at the point where every World Championship is the biggest moment up until that point in the sport. There have been countless of those moments that have gotten us here.

Now, it's time for the next one.

Here’s everything else you need to know to catch the action this weekend:
