18 more holes to go.

That’s all that the leader of the 2023 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships presented by L.L.Bean had to say heading to Championship Sunday.

Isaac Robinson went to work on Saturday, firing off a 12-under round on Fox Run Meadows to move to spots into the solo lead, which will be four strokes heading into Sunday at Smugglers’ Notch in Vermont.

Robinson, the champion of the 2023 PDGA Champions Cup, will be aiming for his second PDGA Major title and first PDGA World Championship with a number of players on his heels.

Fox Run Meadows was ideal for scoring on Saturday with hot rounds flying everywhere.

One belonged to Evan Scott, the 2021 PDGA Amateur World Champion, who climbed seven spots into solo second place with a 12-under round of his own.

Calvin Heimburg’s surge of the leaderboard was derailed by a double-bogey on the daunting 18th at Fox Run. His 11-under effort puts him four strokes back of the lead in a tie for third with Kyle Klein and Anthony Barela, who will lead the chase card.

The hottest round of the day belonged to Eagle McMahon, a 14-under heater that puts him on the chase card six strokes back. Chris Dickerson (6th, -31) and Matt Orum (T7, -30) round out the chase card.

18 holes to go is right and Robinson is in position to take it down, but so are many others.
