SAN MARCOS, CA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2009: The San Diego Aces, the local affiliate organization of the Professional Disc Golf Association recently held a “Disc Golf Day of Fun” at Montiel Park in San Marcos. This was a day full of activity, with casual and competitive disc golf matches, and a Freestyle Frisbee demonstration by Randy Wylot, Peter Laubert and Tony Pellicane, (Former U.S. Open Champions). The event culminated with the presentation of a check in the amount of $2,500 to Associated Students, Inc. (ASI), a student organization on the campus of Cal State University San Marcos.

ASI is currently raising funds to build an on-campus 18-hole disc golf course that will be open to the public. The San Diego Aces have stepped forward to be a major sponsor for the project at CSUSM. The course is being funded by donations from individuals and corporate sponsors.
